  • “He has been responsible for, as a member of parliament, putting fuel on the fires of the tensions that already existed, feeding the thuggery.”
Nigel Farage has been “trying to inflame, trying to incite” people in the aftermath of the Southport stabbing attack, says Brendan Cox, widower of late MP Jo Cox.

The truth of the matter is this country has been failed by successive governments Labour and Tory in controlling migration into the UK, furthermore it has cost the taxpayer a fortune, furthermore it has put a huge strain on public services, furthermore only the next generation or the generation after that will make a meaningful contribution to the country in terms of tax, furthermore the age, lack of education, poor health, religion and culture makes it extremely difficult to integrate them into society.
It is so easy to point the finger and call someone extreme or hard right but not the liberal policies of politicians, no apologies for failing to deliver on promises, no apologies for the cost to the taxpayer, no apologies for the strains on housing and public services, no apologies for the crime.
I am not against migration but on terms that suit the country.

It did not take Starmer more than a day or two to announce that his promises to make things better were untrue. He has made it very clear that he is going to act in his own interests and the interests of outside groups, and that he doesn't actually care at all what is in the interests of the people or what they want.

This primarily is a European problem. Turkey took 2 million refugees early on when Syria was destroyed, other countries including Germany, Greece, Italy etc have taken similar numbers. Britain has experienced a fraction of this and has a dilemma in how to deal with the boats. There's no point in complaining - anyone can do that. What is the solution to the problem? One obvious solution is to fix the problem at source and help rebuild places like Syria and ensure security so they are fit to live in and people can have a future there. The other side of the coin is to process refugees and where successful get them integrated and working.

I was reading Rory Stewart's book, a former conservative politician and he was talking about how he noticed in the nineties while he was working in Iraq our government had developed this toxic attitude whereby they refuse to recognise when their policies are failing and assume that if it's not working, then it's not because the policy is bad, but that they're not doing enough to force it to work. So basically they have tunnel vision and this is rampant in both main parties. That really stuck out to me as never having been more blatantly obvious than it is now.
They are doubling and now tripling down because they can't bring themselves to review whether their policies are failing and need to be changed.

I honestly didnt realise that there was SO much hate in our once proud country. We would be crippled without immigration, this is not the 1940's where everyone was 'digging for victory'. We love our qualities of life and, to maintain that, we need immigration... People are far too short sighted and paranoid, with your fury whipped up by a small number of people who should know better than to inflame a society already in pain after 14 years of Tory rule, where the rich have drained our country of it's riches and left the population fightinf over the few crumbs left over. This is all because of Austerity.
