Hey Robin, I installed mine as per your instructions but the key wouldn't unlock the car. Locking and proximity locking is working too. I just need to just the old key to unlock the car and the start stop button is ok. Can't remotely start the car either

I have a similar problem. The car locks but does not open the doors. Another problem is the sound signal of the key in the ignition when the door is open, which does not occur when the key is removed from the ignition. Is there any patent for this?
Thanks for the guidance, i managed to install the same on my GT by watching your video. Though any idea on how can i disable the constant beeping when i open the door? Its as if the key is in the ignition

It seems like this system will make it very easy for someone to steal your car! You leave everything necessary to start the car (the entire factory key, transponder and fob motherboard) in the car every time you get out of your car.
If you do not have the key fob with you the car will not start, you must have the key fob, pushing the button with out the key fob will do nothing

I just meant it would be easy for someone to remove the after-market system and plug everything back into its original place, and then everything they need to start it is literally in the car waiting for them, the key and transponder are literally in the ignition. This video actually would show any car thief how the system works.
If someone has the knowledge and time to do that, odds are they are getting past the factory setup too. It’s kinda like a home safe. They’re there to slow down a thief. Given enough time a determined thief is going to get in.
@@mattkennedy7876sure they could remove it, but the odds are really rare that no one would hear the car alarm or a break in and the odds of the robber knowing where to plug back everything and remove everything are extremely rare and could take a lot of time
Does it have some kind of immobiliser? Cause if the chip from key is always in, i doubt about it.
Yes, there is a immobilizer, the car goes to sleep once it shuts off, or when you lock the car, the push button does not activate anything.

They both need to be unobstructed, you can put both in the upper front windshield on the driver and passenger side.

I have one question, i really want to buy this but if i want to fill up my gas tank i need to take the key out of the ingnition for the gas cap to open.. Does the gas cap still open with this kit installed?
Hello, what model do you have? Guess I will need to test that, I have not tried to open the fuel door. Never heard that issue with any customers that already have it installed

No, the car needs the fob to "wake it up", the only way is to press the unlock on the fob to wake it up or the push button in the car will not work.

@@Alec-Fast. NO! If you’re close enough to the car, I.e. in the damn trunk, for the fob to be activated why would you let someone climb in your car and start it? If they were that brazen then it wouldn’t matter if you had this or the original key, they’d simply take it from you. Where do you live that you can’t open your trunk without someone stealing your car?! Why did you strain your only two functioning brain cells to come up with this dumb ass scenario when you know you need them to operate your normal body functions? Hopefully you didn’t read this response too fast and suffer a seizure or aneurysm. If so, hopefully no one stole your car while you were out.
How/where do you install the back antenna on a convertible?
You can put both on the windshield, I disabled it due to constantly locking and unlocking, You need to store your fobs 25-30 feet from the car when activated, pain in the butt!!!
Hello, I have installed one. At first it would allow me to turn the alarm on and lock doors. Turn the automatic start on and everything. Now I dove it to the gas station and can't lock the doors and turn the alarm one. When I press the unlock button the press start lights up. I just can't arm the alarm. Any words of wisdom?
Hello, Was it working 100% after the install? Passive lock and unlock working? You can deactivate the passive lock and unlock, also on the black box there is a reset button.

So it's installed and I like it but Future Buyers/Installers be warned, this method of placing the diode inside of the steering cvolumn will allow the car to be stolen very easily if you forget to lock the door as this systems 'Push Start" Button ignition will start when pressed WITHOUT the keyfob in the car.
Since this module has a basic understanding of proximity, AuCar was very lazy with the design by allowing the "Push Start" to start without checking how far away the fob is from the module.
In any event, it works and I still like it, but may do some additional investigation into the distance required between the diode and the security ring and figure out a way to place the diode in the fob to make it more OEM and secure.
It will automatically "sleep" after about a minute
@@caymanspyder1593 It still starts without the fob even during the 'sleep' stage. The easiest solution I can come up with is to install a wireless killswitch, use the control board from this unit to power on/off by signal and call it a day
@@NexisGamesATXwhat he means is that, once you unlock the car and if you do forget to lock the car, it shouldn’t be a problem as it auto locks itself after proximity and, if you are close to the car and is unlocked, the system won’t turn on after 1 minute of inactivity, you will have to unlock it again

Trying to understand. Sounds like when it goes to sleep, it automatically lock the door too. The key FOB is needed to unlock the door. So is the risk that if someone finds a way to enter the car without unlocking the door (like breaking the window), they can start the car without the FOB? @@NexisGamesATX
The diode in the key fob is not apart of the key fob.. simply take out the diode and attach it to that ring on the ignition instead of taping the entire key fob housing to that ring.... That's kind of ridiculous. Depending on how well the diode is glued into the inside of the key fob housing it may take a little bit of work but it's really not hard. a pair of wire snips and a Dremel should get you really close. I accidentally changed my key fob housing with one on eBay and threw away my original key fob housing not knowing that it had the diode "immobilizer" in it that allowed the car to start. Luckily the trash had not been removed so I simply transplanted the diode into my new key fob housing from eBay that's how I know You can simply take it out. However the new key fob housing I ordered had a smaller Maserati Triton emblem hole on it So I wasn't ever able to transplant the original emblem as it was too small.... That's the story for another time I suppose...
Not ridiculous at all, this makes it very easy to reverse the install if ever sold etc, You can assemble the key much quicker.

I need some assistance. My black box stopped sensing my key fobs. Both of them. I have tried resetting the black box by depressing the small black button. Nothing at all happened. When I get into the car, the chime beeps, and once I close the door, it stops beeping, but the push button does nothing. It doesn't even light up. Any help would be greatly appreciate it. I reached out to acarnavi and the engineer is on vacation.
Did you change your batteries in your fobs? When you pushed the button on the black box, did you not hear 1 click?

@@TheJkline26 Did this resolve your issue? I installed my kit today. It worked for a bit. Then when I was trying to remote start the car it stopped responding. Now I get no response from the key fobs. Changed batteries. Tried resetting. Nothing at all. Going to try to revert back to stock tomorrow.
Anyone has a user manual for this system? I dont have it and i dont know how to turn off and on features, how to add another remote if i need etc…if anyone has, send me please, i cant find anywhere. Thank you

How do you disable passive unlock/lock?
I haven't tested it yet but I think you press and hold the lock and unlock for 3 seconds, will need to confirm

I've had one installed and working for over a year but my nephew was messing with my fob earlier today and now my passive lock and unlock no longer work... I've tried lock & unlock for 3 seconds, lock or unlock for 3 seconds, lock & trunk... nothing. So frustrating
