This has been a favourite since the 70's. Before emigrating to Australia a few years ago I went to the "Oh What A Night" show in Manchester THREE times! This was always one of the last songs played and each time we were stood up dancing I remember looking around and seeing guys my age all dancing away being taken right back to those days forty years ago, made me sad and happy at the same time if that makes sense? Your version is as good if not better, but I also said that about "Gypsy" too LOL!
And despite being in my late fifties I always feel I have a young heart ❤️ when hear you. So, as usual , you have my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I actually seen Candi Staton live at Rhyl about 5 years ago, alongside Eddie Holman, Gwen Dickie, Little Anthony And The Imperials and many more as the show was phenonminal. Your cover, has just brought all them memories back! Thanks for a great rendition, of this all time classic from the summer of 1976.
A great song from Candy Staton. She told in an interview that the inspiration for this song, was a very sad and even dangerous experience with one of her husbands, who was a violent man... Very nice version Sarah😍
