Omfg!! The cop!!! Why did he do that? The gun man was shooting at the children and the police ran for cover like he was running for his life!!! That was so heart breaking. Parents desperate to go in to save their children and getting restrained by police, claiming that they are doing their best to save the children. How?? By running away? They were so damn scared!!! I’m so sorry to all the families there. So painful. I’m so thankful those are not our police.

Well at that point (by way of reports) the gunman turned to shoot at the cops. That doesn't negate their cowardice though. They are sworn to protect and serve, not stand idly by while literal CHILDREN are screaming and crying while being MURDERED. I'll never understand or forgive the people there that day that did NOTHING!

This is heartbreaking, all those shots fired taking innocent lives. The fact that the police stood in the hall hearing the shots and knowing children were being shot but did nothing. Why? It is their responsibility to stop lives from being lost but they stood and did nothing. One of the guys standing in the hall got a call from his wife saying she was dying, but yet no one even tried to enter the room. How completely betrayed must the families of the victims feel, to see this video and see the lack of response from the police. Important time past where victims could have been helped, maybe lives saved. The shooting was a tragedy but the lack of action by the ones who are to serve and protect is unforgivable. Bless all these families, I pray that they can find some comfort in their faith and somehow not let anger take over their lives. I know it will be hard , can only imagine their pain.

Unbearable to even imagine this happening to myself or any of the children I’ve cared for and continue to care for. A false flag operation is an act committed with the intent of disguising the actual source of responsibility and pinning blame on another party. The term "false flag" originated in the 16th century as an expression meaning an intentional misrepresentation of someone's allegiance.[1][2] The term was famously used to describe a ruse in naval warfare whereby a vessel flew the flag of a neutral or enemy country in order to hide its true identity.[1][2][3] The tactic was originally used by pirates and privateers to deceive other ships into allowing them to move closer before attacking them. It later was deemed an acceptable practice during naval warfare according to international maritime laws, provided the attacking vessel displayed its true flag once an attack had begun

Sadly another truth has surfaced about the Uvalde shootings.
The new truth: The school room doors could “not” be locked from the inside. They could only be locked by locking it with a key from the outside. In case of a “lock down” this is how it worked (detailed by an actual Uvalde teacher during the shootings). BTW: The school had frequently practiced this procedure as a lock down drill.
    (1) each teacher had a key to their room that they carried with them, (2) the teacher would designate a student assistant in their room, (3) when the teacher heard the lock down alarm (in this case the shootings) she looked at the student and they both walked to the door, (4) the teacher had to step into the hallway and lock the door with her key from the outside, (5) she then told her student to open the door from the inside to let her back in (in this case, both the teacher and student assistant were scared too death…note the teacher had to step into the hallway, then shut the door, then lock the door with her key, then ask the student to open the door and let her back in).
Bottom line, since the shooter was already inside a classroom, at least the school district police should have known that the door to that classroom was unlocked; therefore, all that BS by the school police chief about taking so much time trying to locate a key to open the schoolroom door was exactly that…BS.
Apparently a very large number of schoolroom doors in the USA “cannot” be locked from the inside. Once locked from the outside, they can be “opened” from the inside, but they “cannot” be locked from the inside. This being the case, the only way to see if the door is “locked” is to open the door from the inside and then try the outside handle. Obviously if the handle will not move..the door has been locked with a key…if the handle moves, the door has not been locked.

I had not heard that, but in my school district we have Lock Blocks inside every door. My door is always locked from the outside, but I can place the Lock Block so that it can be pulled open from the outside. If we hear there is a lockdown or hear gunshots, we can slide the Lock Block so that the door then locks and we do not have to go outside to do it. That is one piece of the puzzle, but is my door bulletproof? Are the 4 windows bulletproof? Are the walls bulletproof? Probably not, so a locked door will not help much, unfortunately.

I was a soldier, an MP. I assure you my heart's broken too. I'm compartmentalizing so I can pragmatically assess, alright?
The police did not seize the initiative. Once the shooter has fired, his approximate position was known. At that point, with so many children's lives at stake, they should have gone in as a single unit and aggressively taken him down. Their nerve failed as soon as the shooter fired back.
Even after the initial withdrawal, they could have at any time rallied and launched an offensive. They failed to do so. This is cowardice and a clear absence of leadership. No other word for it.
Police need to be trained to understand that in situations like this, not everyone's gonna make it home to their families. Don't take the job if you've not come to terms with that. What's happening now is much worse: the entire Uvalde police department and everyone associated with it are infamous and reviled, now and for the rest of their lives.

    1. the lives of innocent civilians come first,
    2. then those of first responders,
    3. and then, last, that of the offender.
There is no waiting for keys or shields or even for more police backup: police must act to neutralize the threat immediately, even if it puts their own life in danger.

Looked like those children very sadly lost their lives because of bureaucratic bs and lack of security against the crazy people our current society produces. I'd like to hear the first responders account. Did they refuse to react or were they told not to?

This is beyond awful. I am a 14 year old girl that is SCARED of going to school because i don’t know if that will leave school alive. The fact that i also know law enforcers wont do anything to protect me or any one inside a school shooting. Those officers had guns, had gear, and training for this. The students and teachers had none of that .. not one single thing. The officers knew what they were signing up for when they become officers.. to risk their own life in order to protect “their people” But here they are doing the complete opposite. So disappointed in law enforcement and this world.

May the parents of those precious children, somehow, find peace. And may all the parents and compassionate citizens of this nation somehow find peace, as well. The situation in Uvalde has completely broken the hearts of millions in this country, including mine and my entire family's. Director of Texas DPS, Steve McCraw, during a Senate hearing on what happened in Uvalde, said he thinks the actions of law enforcement outside in that hallway has set back the entire law enforcement profession 10 years. After watching the video it makes you wonder if any credibility whatsoever can ever be gained. There are literally no words to describe the level of failure there was in helping those children.

    Here are the real facts
    1. May 2020 Reps from lockout USA meet with Uvalde Cisd to discuss instructions of there security system in the schools and enter into a tentative contract pending passage of a tax levie to fund it.
    2. The lockout USA system has been installed in thousands of facilities and has never been breached.
    3. June 2020 ucid announces a tax levie for the Nov 2020 ballot to fund the school security system. It will cost the average property owner in Uvalde $15.43 total spread over 5 years.
    4. July 2020 the Texas Republican party starts a anti tax smear campaign against the Uvalde cisd. This goes on till November 2020. For 26 weeks the Texas Republican party spent thousands of dollars to stop the installation of a school security system.
    5. November 2020 election the parents and citizens of Uvalde agree with the Texas Republican party and vote to not pass the tax levie that would fund the installation of the lockout USA security system. At this point in time the parents and citizens of Uvalde Texas sealed the fate of there children.
    6. December 2020 the Uvalde cisd terminates there contract with lockout USA due to lack of funding.
    7. May 2022 shooter walks into Rob elementary school and opens fire killing 19 children. There was nothing in the school to stop him from getting in or to keep him out of the classrooms because the parents and citizens of Uvalde Texas refused to funt a system that would have stoped this before it ever started. So the blame is on the parents and voters of Uvalde and the shooter. No one else.
    8. As a school teacher at a school that has installed the lockout USA security system I was privileged to see there demonstration. I watched 3 men beat on a door with sledgehammer and pry bars for 20 mi trying to breach the lockout USA system and they failed . Then the lockout USA sales rep fired 20 12 guage 00 buckshot rounds into the door and it still would not open.

One was even checking his phone outside cover. I mean I think a bunch of amateurs would have done a better job of securing that hallway.
Not to mention the lack of urgency when there's a room full of children with a shooter firing of his gun.
