@@SuperCatacata no…but everyone expected Dressel to be good. Finke on the other hand came out of left field. Both of his swims were just a stunning display of intelligent swimming followed by pure insanity.
@@jjh2456 His comebacks were amazing, but anyone who paid attention to swimming knew he had a chance with how good he was at the mile in the US. Even if Dressel is expected to do good. 5 gold medals far surpassed everyone's expectations for him. Both were standout performances. No disrespect to either one.
You may absolutely debate among several sports, nations and athletes as to who's performances were in contention as being the high point of the Games. I completely, without any hesitation disagree with your personal opinion that Dressel winning 5 golds as being the high point. I personally feel it to be an almost outright slight not just against athletes of both sexes, but even worse to the sport of swimming that I as an American citizen and former competitive swimmer not give outright the so called "high point" of the Games to Australia's Emma McKeon. Not only did she win 7 medals (4 golds and 3 bronze), but in doing so, she TIED a record for the most medals won by a woman in a single games out of all the sports. And in the almost business as usual shameful stateside media coverage, her name and that accomplishment barely got but a mention by Mike Tirico. (and actually, yes I actually find it at the least a tad disrespectful on your part in not fully understanding just how huge the 2 wins by Finke are going to be for the future of US long distance swimming- especially considering how long it had last been for one man from the US to win 2 distance races (Goodell in '76). It just defies logic for me personally for any person who watched the swimming and knows swimming, and not even consider the enormity of what McKeon did here at these Games.
@@Parker528 Thanks for your analysis. I don’t follow swimming at all. The only time I watch a majority of Olympic sports (with the exception of tennis) is during the Olympics. So the only coverage I see is what/who NBC chooses to highlight during each event. And you’re right, the chosen few seem to get ALL of the coverage, while the rest of the athletes get short shrift. Being a US-based network, a majority of the coverage goes to American athletes.
The best story of the Olympics. I would like to see a commercial showing Bobby swimming the last length of the 800m and 1500m with the song "Save the Best for Last" by Vanessa Williams playing in the background.
He does swim the 400 IM. He just wanted to concentrate on the 2 distance swims in Tokyo. However, USA Swimming will have him doing the 400 IM and maybe the 400 free, 200 IM, 200 free and a couple of relays. That finishing kick that he’s always had they will want to put to good use.
I'm just catching up. This was hilarious; a slow start, but it just kept building and was funny all the way. Evans is terrific in giving them space to be themselves by being his own self, as it were. Give the man a raise for being able to make media-shy swimmers warm and funny. All thumbs up.
I love Ryan Murphy and I love Bobby Finke too. Ryan's performance in 4x100 medley was amazing. Robert Finke's phenomenal swim in 800m and 1500m Free was iconic. Regarding the host, it's turning me off. Look for a better one. Maybe Asian or Latino or White dudes will do way better.
I won't be surprised if Ryan Murphy identifies as a woman in 2024 and competes in women's backstroke so he can win individual gold again and say the race was probably clean. LOL
Bobby Finke was the standout of the pool. His performances were electrifying.
yeah he's great.
25.7 was shocking...
Can't ignore Dressel's flawless gold performance. But Finke truly did come out of nowhere for these.

It’s about time Finke starts getting some press attention. His races have been the high point of the Games so far.
Idk about that. Dressle won 5 golds. I feel like that’s probably the high point. No disrespect to Fink tho, two golds is obviously amazing

Vanessa Williams you mean.
@@jjh2456 Woops ! Thanks !
Love this interviewer! He is so fun! Brings these interviews to life in comparison to some other ones that can be so boring lol
Love this guy doing the interviews. These olympians are such humble young men.
Finke's last 50 is just crazy. I wonder how he does in 400. Or even 200

Jose Hill With his finish should be on the end of every relay.
The personalities of these athletes make me smile big☺️
Everybody talks deservedly about Caeleb, but Finke was the underdog who overperformed. The highlight of Team USA for me.
100%

These guys were funny! Excellent interview!
This guy comes home like Ian Thorpe 😤
God Bless & 🙏❤️More Power to them 🇺🇸🙏❤️😇🇺🇸
I love the interviewer. He has so much energy and excitement. Lol, he has interviewed BTS and he is always like this,
Someone give Scott Evans his own tv show.
They are so cute!!!!
Tell Bobby to stop drinking LOL He wants the Rock to play him?? This kid right here. Great swimmer.
Ikrr
I hope Robert realizes The Rock is a Cane for Life! 🙌
and he's black lol
Bobby all I Can say is I am so happy and proud of you... But I'm thinking Mark Wahlberg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
😆
I really liked this interview!!!! 😘🥇
finke is the next dressel.. so humble and low profile, you got 2 gold in ur 1st olympc, you have a high standard bob,

Did this guy ask if you can walk at 6?
Lmao . Why not Denzel Washington
Too old
Zileiram1234 😂
The athletes should just decline to really comment on the anti-doping questions...like why get involved? just brings some unwanted attention tbh...
Lotta blax interviewing
