I'm not a Broncos fan. But I think this guy Nix is a rock solid QB and I think he's going to be very, very productive sooner than later. He is nothing like Drew Lock.

Raiders fan here, but also an Oregon fan. So you can imagine how conflicted I am about Nix being with Denver. He is a STUD. An absolute WINNER. Will be rooting for him except 2 times a year. They also drafted his buddy Franklin at WR. Don’t be surprised if he balls out.

Yeah Drew Lock is bigger, stronger arm, the only comparison is the mobility. Nix also had to play longer in college cuz he sucked his first 3-4 years
Totally opposite of Drew Lock. Drew was a dingy gunslinger. Bo is a tactician with accuracy. Bo is more mobile as well. Lock wishes he has Bo's intangibles.

I'm betting Nix will have the best season of this year's rookie QBs. His senior year ... 45 TD to 3 interceptions. Williams didn't do nearly as well, nor any other QB in the class. He's accurate and smart, certainly qualities one looks for in a starter.

Nix is smart and accurate. Thats what Payton needs to run his system. As long as they don't ask him to do too much, he will be fine.
My question (as a Broncos fan who has been following their training camp) is who has rich heard saying he is Drew Lock plus? Because I haven't heard or seen him called that anywhere. This kind of stinks of a Chris segment that's all about the hot take, hoping for engagement.
Yeah, he doesn't play anything like Drew Lock. It's a laughable comparison.
He's not saying that's what people are calling him. He's saying that's how people think of him. I don't know if that's true but I do know there are a lot of naysayers who say nix was a wasted pick. Rich's whole point is he disagrees with them.

As a broncos fan. I just hope Nix's game can translate to the nfl level. He doesn't have to be all world but I'd like him to be good. Heck if his ceiling was a Steve Mcnair or Carlson palmer I'll take that.
Denver hasn't had a qb in a long time. People always talk about fits and I'm going to trust in Payton simply being he's watched this guy and did his homework and said he can win with this guy. He didn't try and move up or anything if he liked the other 5 he would have moved up in my opinion but Nix fell to him and he took a swing.
I keep saying we need to have some patience with Nix.
Let's see if he can make nfl throws.
Let's see how he is on the money down which is 3rd down.
Let's see his red zone efficiency.
Let's see how composed he is in the pocket.
Td to INT ratio.
How many dropbacks he averages without taking a sack?

Or my personal favorite game winning drives.
He doesn't have to have all that year one but if he has maybe 4 out of all that we'd have something to build on.
I'm hoping Nix can fit like a puzzle in Sean's Scheme we just have to see and if he does I think he can surprise some people. Pre-season can't happen soon enough 😁
I was watching practice live and man, I gotta tell you, it's been a while since Denver had a QB that can play on time. Nix was fitting it in small windows OVER THE MIDDLE to Sutton vs PS2 and he looked the part. I know it's just practice, but I watched Russ struggle in practice, I watched Drew struggle in practice, and Bo just looks like an actual QB that knows they system and coverages pre snap. It's weird. He looks like a vet out there. I don't wanna get too hyped, because who knows, but man.. I am excited to see him play.

Oregon fan here. People are sleeping on Nix. He is no Drew Brees or Drew Lock. Which is GOOD. He is his own man. They also drafted his buddy Franklin at WR. You guys actually drafted the right QB this time. And it hurts to say that cause I’m also a Raiders fan. Idk how good your record will be but you guys are gonna give a lot of teams some problems tbh
If Bo Nix wins the starting the job over whoever the other QB is... The expectation is pretty much the same for any other rookie. Just ball out the best you can. See your strengths and weakness then build upon them for next season
That should always be the goal but for whatever reason rookie QB expectations have skyrocketed over the past 10-15 years
He left Auburn to get out his dad’s shadow and because Auburn hired Bryan Harsin. Nix had enough sense to know Harsin wasn’t gonna help him develop.
Bo Nix is the NFL equivalent of a Jay Wirght-era Villanova basketballer. Never going to be the flashiest but they just win with consistency and effort.
Mahomes was drafted at #10. Granted, Nix is not Mahomes, but it goes to show the analysis and scrutiny of QBs is still a shotgun science with mediocre aim. So going 12th no matter how many QBs were before him doesn't matter. Prescott, Jackson, Rodgers, etc.
He's better than Maye and should have been drafted by NE.

Nix played a lot better than most the rest of the team. Nix came in during a major coaching transition, where Lanning was using a lot of transfers to band-aid a team together while shedding the previous regime's players. Had Nix played this upcoming or next season, when Lanning's got his guys, Nix would've likely won a Heisman.
I see bo nix as mac jones 2.0 with better coaching
3/6 of the QBs taken in 1st round will be busts, Nix will excel, Pennix will benefit from waiting & Caleb went to a team with quite a bit of existing talent.
Nix is going to make or break The Broncos this year. I know it sounds obvious. It's just that this season is a wash if Stidham starts. Nix doesn't have all stars around him either. Ceiling is probably 8-9 or 9-8 depending with luck. Floor is probably 4-13. I genuinely hope he shows moxie with the skills to eventually back it up. Lock definitely has moxie but his skillset wasn't fully there.
Idk Sean Payton has never lost more than 7 games even with poor rosters. I would say 7 wins is the floor, but I agree that they'll likely go 9-8 or 8-9
Bad coaching ruined Lock. Fangio wanted nothing to do with him. Lock had potential.

As Broncos fan since 1984 and I like Drew Lock and felt Vic didn’t give the kid a chance, Bo isn’t Drew Lock. Drew was young and needed to grow up a bit, Bo is 24 and is a married man. Bo seems a lot mature than Drew as a rookie, but it seemed Vic didn’t like the kid from day one. Bo is blessed because it is obvious Sean wanted him and you can accomplish a lot when your boss believes in you.

Covid year is the year they grade him. He didn’t get to practice with his team. His wr’s from the last season had been sutton and sanders and DT all were gone or injured. So you expected a 2nd year Qb to throw to rookie wr’s in a new offense with no offseason. Year 3 pat shurmur brought in teddy Bridgewater
