Sherwood is a gamer. Lankinen was a steal. And Heinen scoring is a bonus. Looks like the Canucks are getting it in gear. They're not quite at full steam yet but there's a long way to go. Don't want to peak too early. GCG!
Petey not scoring is an issue but I have been very impressed with his play away from the puck his been in that screen position fighting for room in the house love to see it it's like he realized shit I need to contribute somehow and he is which is great to see. Heinny and woodsy were great additions and that 3rd line last year was arguably the best 3rd line in the show with the additions we've made there's fighting for spots guys that are legit NHLers on many teams are fighting for a spot and want to be here fighting for that spot rather than on some crap team with no shot it's awesome to see this team if JTs mouth guard is found Petey's and demkos knees both heal like watch out this team is deep and scary Arty and lekky proving they can play and be that guy Arty has struggled in the regular season start sure but look what he did when it matters. As a life long Canucks I haven't been this excited about a Canucks team in a long while 10+ years have faith in these players and coaching staff along with management this teams going to be a contender and exciting to watch which as a fan is all I can ask for just don't suck and they sure don't.
Dismantling Chicago so easily was fun. The game was great. We were given that first goal. I clearly saw offside. So we will have one go against us like that at some point. I want to see how we acquired these new players. We go lanks who Ive heard of. But didn't know his calibre of play. He tries his hardest each night and makes primo saves at key moment. They didn't get any ugly goals(Chicago). And I did think shit it's a goal fest whoever stops scoring loses. However Chicagos goals were not highlight reel worthy. But also no fault of lanks. We out played them. Chicago stopped skating many times. That kept their momentum low. Our 6th goal was the knife in the throat for Chicago. The audible gasp from the crowd was eerie to say the least. All around the Canucks have come to life. And hey out of the first three loses we got 2 points. So it's time to saddle up. Skittles it's hockey time now. Go Canucks go!!!
I'm sooo excited for when Dakota comes back, It'll be like trading for someone but we don't loose anything. I'm excited for Demko too, but the goalie situation is... working? Lanky is seriously on fire-I'm a bit worried that he's never been a starter before. And I don't know when they are going to slot Arty in next. Given the upcoming games are against the pens, the devils, the canes... Maybe against the pens? I worry about Lankinen not being able to handle multiple games in a row, which he's never really done before. But with the way he's playing I don't know if I should have to worry,
I would experiment with who can play well with Joshua to see where he's at...I'd like to see a line with Joshua - Aman/Suter - Sprong and it would have been nice to see if Raty could have centered this line as well. Toc has a lot of options to make something work. I'm liking the methodology transpiring at the moment and almost seems like that there isn't really a top 6 or bottom 6. I'd rather have 4 lines rolling than 2 lines that we have to heavily depend or rely on. If you put Joshua in with Petey, then that means Hoglander is out. I'm liking the chances they're having of late and I think it will start clicking sooner than we think. If we can get another top 4 defenseman, I think we can seriously have a solid run.
I would think he comes back on the 4th line..just bump aman and put pius super at center..gotta remember he is gonna need some conditioning time while play less minutes until he shows he is fully in shape and then you can look at making an improvement on the 3rd line depending on how that current line is doing..just gotta get aman out and dak in to start 😊
It’s really good seeing petey start to gain his confidence back putting him with garland and höglander is clearly helping him immensely 👍
