    Not really sure why you chose to group this car with the mid sized competition. This K900 is exactly the same size as the BMW 7 series. It's a full sized car for half the price. They've been selling this car in Korea for a while now and it is REALLY nice!

    • @ATRichard
      @ATRichard 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      John Holst Probably because of its price. But based on size, yes, I’d say it’s full-size.

    • @m1kerophone
      @m1kerophone 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I should have clarified this better. Kia claims the 5-series as the more direct competitor. This is mostly due to price, as ARich pointed out below. The K900 is certainly closer in size to the 7-series. I guess they are trying to point out that it has better bang for your buck? Regardless, the K900 is quite luxurious.

    • @johnholst
      @johnholst 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@m1kerophone I'm sure you're right Michael. But it's not common to categorize cars this way. For example, no one would say an M3 is in the same category as a Cadillac CT6, just because they're the same price. It's for the shopper to determine the "bang for buck" factor.

    • @jaredshelton4718
      @jaredshelton4718 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually the K900 is smaller than a 7 Series or something like an S-Class. But it is also bigger than a 5 Series or an E-Class, so it's kind of hard to market since it's an in-betweener, I definitely would not have marketed it as Mid-Size. My 2014 Cadenza SXL is classified as a full size sedan, and it's smaller than the K900. Either way, I want it 😏

    • @johnholst
      @johnholst 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaredshelton4718 Actually Jared, the 7 series comes in at 5098mm while the K9 is 5120mm. The K9 is a full sized luxury car, even if it's not priced like one. I want one too!

      ChaoticCorruptor but my point is is that the German cars depreciate just about as fast as a Korean cars do now and if you have a German car that's high mileage it drops Like a Stone

    I don’t care what name it is, what’s under the hood, interior, etc. it’s still a Kia. I bought my 2015 Kia Soul Exclaim in 2014 with 7 miles on the odometer. I bought the 10 year/100,000 mile extended warranty and thank God I did. At 84,000 miles I fully understood what Kia meant... Killed In Action. My engine went full grenade mode, broke a connecting rod (going 74 mph on highway), it went through the block and radiator. It took 4 months, 3 weeks and 4 days to get my car back. Kia’s customer service is lacking... I waited 3 months before I started complaining. They suck overall. Comes time to pick up my car and dealership tells me battery is dead and won’t hold a charge. I tell them the battery was replaced less than six months prior to engine failure. I tell them to put a new battery on as I can’t drive it without a battery, ask them to hold dead battery so I can get refund from O’Reillys. Those sons of bitches got rid of the battery AND charged me for the new one. Kia is so cheap they couldn’t just install one at no cost because of inconvenience. I’m trying to sell/trade the car as of this writing and have sworn off the Kia brand.

      Derek Lea sorry you had to go thru that dude. But that would be more of a dealership not willing to work with you rather than the parent company. As for the customer service, that's company related and that's bad. But at such low mileage a car shouldn't just go out like that. That's ridiculous.

      Guys... LISTEN UP: There was a general article written about cars with all these sensors and how costs are sky rocketing and that, believe it or not, to align sensors on some vehicles you may have to have 300 sq foot of totally clear shop floor just to get sensors aligned.
      It was a Jalopnik article and it's talking about all modern, heavily sensor infused vehicles. The actual title is: "This Kia cost $34,000 to repair AND IT'S NOT ALONE" (emphasis mine since people can be bothered to read).
      jalopnik.com/this-kia-costs-34-000-to-repair-and-its-not-alone-1829136318
      Quoted from the article:
      "New cars come with all sorts of advanced technology designed to keep drivers safe, but all those safety-increasing gadgets come with a price-and it’s not just the initial cost of the technology that’s hitting car owners hard.
      Take, for example, the Kia K900. "

    Don't change the classes just because of the prices, it's not KIA's fault they make good affordable cars
