    This video was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Have you ever tried out the SHP9600? And if you have, are they comparable to the H6Pro (Open)?

      i tried the original shp9500 didn’t really like how scratchy the earpads feel and there’s a huge roll off in subbass and also kind of too bright. I much prefer the epos h6 pro open

      @@ryanhostudio I haven't been able to play since he released to be honest. I am just a Plat 2 scrub but I climb quick when I put in the games. But I do like that I can relate imaging/accuracy to exactly what you are saying in Valorant and from the headphones I've tested I can validate what you're saying so it gives me a frame of reference. I also tend to trust gaming reviewers who are accomplished in the competitive arena because I feel people use the term "gaming headset" too loosely and are sitting there playing Witcher or something.

  • @TheQuickyouknow
    @TheQuickyouknow ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I had the Maxwells, but ended up sending it back because the soundstage was worst than the A50s I was replacing. I mainly play MW2 ranked play, and I took a step back when it comes to hearing footsteps. Custom EQing helped a little bit, but I found myself switching back to my A50s for SnD which to me defeated the purpose of a $300 headset I can only use for games that are too chaotic to hear footsteps in.
    The only thing I miss about the Maxwell is how much compliments I got with the mic. Even though the mic wasn't comfortable from a positioning POV (literally always ends up near my noise lol), the mic sounds amazing.
    I would love if Audeze made a true fps gamer focused headset. They're so focused on making it sound accurate for music and movies that they didn't give us that competitive "edge" for gaming. I'll take lower music performance for a cracked out soundstage.

    • @BlazingsNL
      @BlazingsNL ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. I use my A50s with discord, but when I'm not using voice I'll switch to my Sennheiser HD598 because the audio and comfort beats the A50s by a long shot imo. I don't think Audeze is going to make an fps focused headset because there are already a ton of headsets aimed at competitive fps and Audeze is a hifi brand that wants good audio for multimedia use.

    • @TheQuickyouknow
      @TheQuickyouknow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlazingsNL I disagree on comfort. For me the A50s feels like pillows on the head. I also don't find leather headbands (which the HD598 has). To each their own though.
      The point is these aren't great for competitive fps, but I agree that Audeze probably won't prioritize that.

    • @BlazingsNL
      @BlazingsNL ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheQuickyouknow Well everyone has a different head of course! For me the A50s clamp rather hard, I've had headaches before when I was wearing them for longer periods of time. Or maybe it's the narrow headband that presses on a wrong spot.

    • @TheQuickyouknow
      @TheQuickyouknow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlazingsNL interesting. Definitely a different head size thing it sounds like. I actually swapped my pads on the A50s to a similar style, but a bit thicker. My only complaint with the stock pads are they clamp too lightly for me and some times slides when I moved too quickly. Thicker pads made it A+ comfort for my head.

    I have the Cloud OrbitS as reference of the best quality sound i ever heard (resolution/detail/immersion), the only problem was it wont sound big as i like.

      no i still think cloud orbit s is better than epos h6 pro in sound quality . • @ryanhostudio
      @ryanhostudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sounds corny but the immersive EQ helps immersion because bass and treble sounds more engaging and fun because it’s more v shaped.
      The footstep mode actually works i tested it in valorant. the footsteps were definitely enhanced a bit and had easiest time picking out but i ended up going back to immersion because it’s a hassle to switch to footsteps everytime i play games than switch back to immersion when i’m listening to music

I understand they can be tweaked a bit more for PC use. However, on console, I know where footsteps are coming from 80% of the time when play COD. However, there’s that 20% where I’m left wondering if they’re to the left or me, the right of me, in front of me or behind me. I use Gadgetry’s EQ suggestion for console use which has helped, but I still have that issue from time to time. I just bought the Turtle Beach Steal Pro’s. I hear they’re excellent for footstep tracking. They’re still sitting in the box because I’ve been working, but I’m looking forward to trying them out. I’ll probably get the Epos H6 Pro’s as well.
