    I remember I asked you to do tutorial like this some time ago. I will for sure start learning how to sprint on skates very soon, but what I am mostly afraid of is falling down cause of fear of losing balance during the sprint. Thanks for tutorial.

    Great tutorial and just in time. I was preparing the powerslide tutorial for my channel and just understood, that although the powerslides are solid, my starting sprint looks rather clumsy.

    Love the videos, I don't skate because I have the balance of a drunkard when sober. I would break my legs attempting to do what you do.

      You should at least give it a try with some skates and protection for rent and start with basics. Trying to do what pros do will come naturally later.

    compliment, Bill! Your filming skills growing more and more qualify - cut, camera-position, music , change between live and studio narrating are very professional. Greetings!

      Actually Bill's stopping technique (powerstop) is not the easiest one. Better start from powerslide. There are some other decent inline channels with good tuts on breaking and slowing down.
      Like mine f.e.:D

      I got the drag stop maybe 60% down. I can do it, but i dont always stop precicely where I want. I need held more with parallel turning at the moment. I scissor and lean in but I still go straight.

    • @konzen30
      @konzen30 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      KeiyosX try turning your hips to where youre turning and leaning your feet to their corresponding edges. If youre turning right for example, turn your hips to the right. Your scissor position should be: left foot on the back, right in front then your left foot should lean slightly to the right (inside edge) and right foot to the outer edge. Weight distribution would be: left foot 80% weight and right would have 20% weight.

    What durometer wheel do you typically use?

    • @NikZvi
      @NikZvi 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill has a way too much different skates and wheels. I think for sprint the softer wheels (82a i.e.) are better, cause they won't slide during the push.

    BBS - I have been working on these for many years... (thanks to your PPP tutorials) back in the day.
    I started playing hockey in a 30+ league. Although I’m competent in good old fashion freestyle skating... I’ve learned quickly that I’m not as fast (on a rink) as I thought. So while working on these, I tend to slip a lot on take off. Whether I am rolling w soft or hard wheels, I’m losing my grip via my toe wheel about 5-6 sprints in... causing me to wear down the toe wheel, wasting precious energy and, worse, losing valuable acceleration.
    Anybody else share this frustrating roadblock?

    I don't understand why my blades are making a lot of noise I lubed up the bearings and still same issue ☹ I have the Rollerblade Metroblade C urban

    • @NikZvi
      @NikZvi 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Civic Sport Injected FB6 , check the mountings of the frame and boot. Sometimes they get loose in Rollerblades and they creates some noise.

      @NuZTheRockerOFFICIAL 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      NON-CFC frames usually have crackling noises.. I had a Powerslide Phuzion pair along with that one.. No fix for that, at least for what I've been trying.
