GBO2 RX-93FF Nu Gundam: The only good 700 cost raid?!

- This video contains two matches I had with the RX-93FF Nu Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost raid with incredible DPS at close range, incredible stagger accumulation, good instant stagger ability, a heavy stagger sub weapon, a heavy attack with insanely good reach and funnels which are easy to hit with thanks to them firing large beams. Its weaknesses would be that it is squishy, only has LV3 Maneuver Armor, has the weakest normal melee ability of any LV1 700 cost raid, has relatively short range and that it is slow when compared with other 700 cost raids. This suit used to be OP, and I still think it is strong, but now I would say it is the only raid that has been able to keep up with the intense powercreep seen at 700. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a bazooka with 2900 power, 5 ammo, 300m range, 5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload and 80% stagger value. This has long reload time but high power. It can also be fired while boosting.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 3000 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds focus time, 2 seconds charge time, 70% combo modifier and 160%x2 heavy attack modifier. This is basically the same beam saber that Nu gets but slightly upgraded, it retains the same good moveset. The heavy attack has low power but a ridiculous hitbox.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 120 power, 60 ammo, 200m range, 450 RPM, 13 seconds reload and 6% stagger value. These are the same vulcans which the original Nu gets, so they are amazing for finishing off low HP enemies with or to accumulate stagger.
Its second sub weapon is a shield beam cannon with 1900 power, 85% heat, 350m range, 5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat and 10% stagger value. This has modest damage and high heat but instantly stuns, making it useful in a wide variety of situations.
Its third sub weapon is a long range fin funnel with 1000x4 power, 28%x4 heat, 300m range, 2 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat and 25%x4 stagger value. This has great performance for a funnel with high damage, long range, good stagger value and the ability to be fired while boosting. It doesn't even overheat in one volley like some other funnels.
Its fourth sub weapon is a long range fin funnel cannon with 1800x2 (4200) power, 35%x2 (100%) heat, 400m range, 1 second cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 25%x2 stagger value and 5.5 seconds focus time. This has high power uncharged and can be used to deal extra damage after a stun, but fully charged shots heavy stagger. You can combo this into a heavy attack if you release the heavy point blank.
Its sixth sub weapon is a shield missile launcher with 700x2 power, 4 ammo, 300m range, 12 seconds reload and 25%x2 stagger value. This has less stagger value and longer reload time than the original Nu shield missile launcher but it fires two missiles at once.
The LV1 Nu FF has 22000 HP, 22 ballistic/beam resist and 34 melee resist. This basically makes Nu FF the squishiest 700 cost LV1 raid, especially when considering that it only has LV3 Maneuver Armor and only one buffer. The fin funnel buffer is 35% damage reduction though, and it has the benefit of having LV3 Emergency Evasion.
It also has 135 (145) walk speed, 225 (235) boosting speed, 80 thrust (-25% consumed) and 81 (106) turning speed. It isn't that quick before Psychoframe Resonance activates at 30% HP. It has LV3 Forced Injectors and LV2 Flight Control as well.
It also has a skill called LV1 Counter Boost. This boosts damage dealt by 20% and halves focus time for melee/ranged weapons for 30 seconds after you successfully land a counter tackle. Furthermore, it reduces damage taken by 20% and buffs walk speed by 5.
In conclusion, I feel that the Nu Gundam FF is the last remaining truly viable 700 cost raid. Nu FF used to be meta, arguably cost breaking, but the meta has changed drastically since then. Banshee Norn has released which can easily one combo Nu FF with melee, being able to stunlock and harass it with its ranged options if melee isn't possible. This is on top of basically every other 700 cost general getting buffs that let them more easily deal with Nu FF. This is pretty bad, it means that you can't really afford to make any mistakes with this suit any longer, but no other raid can handle the current meta. Nu FF has reliable ways to break the Nu HWS funnel barrier, being able to continue dealing high damage to it by cycling weapons after destroying the barrier as well. Other 700 cost raids tend to struggle with this, or they rely on a relatively risky melee approach to deal with it. I think it is definitely the strongest 700 raid, but one that you need to be confident in playing, play it safe and don't take unnecessary risks. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

It's a tragedy that the Nu FF is basically the Sinanju Stein but 10x better. BB were definitely afraid to give the Stein it's full kit when they gave it the Tank Purge mechanic.
ONLY? No. The other options may not be the BEST, but the Stein is most certainly good.
I feel like Stein struggles too much with the barrier on Nu HWS, but Nu FF can more easily deal with it since it has the funnel that hits 4 times. Otherwise the Stein would definitely be good as well.
stein's vulcans can delete HWS's shield, if it can manage to get close enough lol

@@avenger1_gbo260 I think Varguil is as good as Nu FF, tbh. Good at dealing with the HWS barrier and very high damage output at all ranges.
I feel like Zaku IV (IP) can still kind of break the HWS barrier with its machine pistol in a burst. Stein still holds the advantage at range, though it is undoubtedly slower at breaking the barrier. EZZ.... I guess has awkward missiles if you want to aim those piles of crap. Banshee is just dead in the water and needs a serious rework from the ground up at this point. Same with Gale, though its vulcans have slightly better range on top of funnels.
The barrier in general is just a sloppy mechanic that feels at odds with the rest of the game's design. The whole team has to pitch in to widdle it down just to even make progress for the raid to actually take the HWS Nu semi-optimally. Too much time is needed to focus on one unit that can give the rest of the enemy team time to close in. If I had to rework the mechanic, I would give the barrier different thresholds where higher amounts of damage from a single shot can cause the barrier to lose multiple points and shut down quicker.
I love the song choice btw. I don't even like racing games, but they often tend to have such banger tracks.

Maybe at the end of the year some good raid alternatives will show up, but for now it's Norn (Fa Unicorn later) and HWS fiesta. EZZ and Stein get bludgeoned constantly on PC, so I'd have to agree Nu FF is the only one that can keep up considering it's kit.

No there have been a few videos where he has included lost matches. But they aren't very common inclusions to see.

Why did you bring the zook? Post-HWS, I thought the BR was exclusively the stronger choice on the Nu FF.
Because I have never really seriously played with the bazooka before. I like it over the BR in some ways even with HWS being a thing, since I can still mostly deal with the funnel barrier by using the lock on funnel. Good ballistic damage and the ability to fire while boosting can go a long way, easier to optimize the weapon rotations as well since you now only have to worry about the lock on and handheld funnel heat.
I do not believe it is whatever it is the "best" but rather how applicable that mobile suit is in scenarios. Like the Xeku raid version can be really good but under the right conditions and usually that condition is either enemy not hyperfocusing/tunnel vision and that teammates use that mobile suit's strengths.
We'll see how this thing performs against the FA Unicorn when it drops
Saying it’s the only good 700 raid is a little much, considering there’s a lot of really good 700 raids, especially from recent buffs (Banshee not included, it’s still bad)
I feel like the other ones kinda got wrecked by powercreep, cause it's a tall order to push through generals like Norn, Sazabi, Moon and Sinanju, then break HWS barrier, then finally try to take out the HWS. It can happen but all it takes is one attentive general to use their easy MA breaking tools to stun you then one combo you with melee.
But Nu FF doesn't really have to push through them, it can just sit at midrange and play a lot safer.
@@avenger1_gbo260you do have a point, the powercreep has gotten out of hand, but imo, it’s all about the operation and strategy of certain raids, like EZZ and Zaku IV (IP), they are very punishing and can hold their own considerably well against the powercrept gens. The same *could* be said about others like Banshee and Stein, but honestly, I don’t think they have the kit to compare to the new meta of 700, that being said, they *can* under correct circumstances still hit hard. (Same could be said about Nightingale with its insane melee damage but it needs buffs to not get shredded near instantly)
I don’t really have anything to say about how most raids today can handle the HWS’ Barrier, I think the FF Nu is one of the only raids that can effectively handle it.
I generally just spam the funnel and shoot people from behind with the beam rifle/missiles with this suit. Am I crazy?
It’s one of the most versatile MS in general in the 700 range, but I do think it’s a bit much to say it’s the ONLY good raid .
I see Enhanced ZZ’s and Steins still do real work, sometimes I prefer using EZZ because it can just be such a disruptive terror.
People still make the stealth Jesta work well at 700 but I don’t wanna talk about them 😂

I dont think this suit is the best 700 cost raid, there are other good 700 cost raids out there, but who am i one to talk, i dont even have the dang thing, my only 700 cost raids are zaku 4 ip and nightingale. I still think zaku 4 ip is better in my opinion.

ever just wanna have someone stop you from playing the game indefinitely? Ask a Nu FF main their combo cycle and how many times did the enemy approach them at melee range.
@xecksoffender942 FF nu's almost made me quit the game when they were first released, but now, they're still a bit annoying, although it's mostly my fault because I walk into their melee range almost all the time
I can remember the last time i saw avenger lose. This dude is quite literally the best pilot on this game 😂
