Angela, not only do you motivate me to get decluttering, your compassion, kindness, and integrity gives me hope in this world that seems to have gone crazy. 😀
Hi Angela! I just came across something that you may want to bring up on your live next week about paralysis related to decluttering. It is one of the dilemmas I face as I struggle with throwing things away. Here it is: "I don't want to put it in the landfill." Response: "But it is going to go into the landfill when you die." This made me think of my recent experiences with emptying out my parents' house, and then my brother's house after they died. We sold and donated as much as we could, but in the end, we had to face throwing many things away because the homes were sold, and we ran out of time. And I also brought some things into my garage that I will never use. It's easy to hold onto your own things when you're not up against a time clock. I know this is where setting a deadline comes in and making a commitment to meet that deadline. But I feel paralyzed to move forward because I am either emotionally attached to an item, or it is going to bring up emotional pain that is hard to face. I need to just rip off the bandaid and experience the pain which will eventually lead to healing. Thanks for all you do to keep me motivated.
I lived in a house where it was my job to clean it and report things that broke. Eventually I became obsessed about not reporting things and started reporting things that were unnecessary and started getting angry, panicking about things were broken that weren’t fixed for months or years by the managing company. I ended up thinking I have to force and manipulate them to fix these things in the house or them being broken I wouldn’t be able to handle the stress living with them. I also had goateed mountains of stuff in my unit and in the storage which added to the stress. Having a messy shameful apartment, made me afraid and ashamed to talk to my manager and coworkers. If.. I had started cleaning from the get go and did not hoard or at least tossed valuable expensive things I hoarded instead of holding on to them for years, I would have been calmer and nicer to people and they wouldn’t react badly to me either.
I appreciate you sharing your story, and it sounds like you've been through quite a journey. It takes a lot of courage to reflect on these challenges. Remember, there is always time to make positive changes. Taking steps to declutter and maintain a clean living space can remarkably impact your well-being. Small, consistent efforts can lead to a more peaceful and inviting environment. Don't be too hard on yourself about the past-focus on the positive changes you can make today. Your well-being is worth investing in, and as you create a more comfortable space for yourself, you'll likely find that it positively influences your interactions with others. We are all rooting for you. 🙏❤

That’s wonderful to hear! Eating healthier is a fantastic start, and it’s great that your dog is feeling better too. Keep up the good work, and hopefully, better sleep will follow. 😊👏🙏
Hi, it's midnight and I'm finally able to "sneak" and quietly watch this. Looks like viewers are forgetting to hit the Like icon! 😮 Please, give the video your👍Lots of great info here, as usual, but my heart got especially happy thinking about those smiley bells. What a great idea! So I followed your link and found a set of 6 with 3 different smiley faces. Eager for them to get here next Monday. I'll let you know next Thursday how they've changed my life!!!😅 Thanks again, Angela. ❤ 🙏
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this comment, I appreciate it! And I'm so happy that you were able to get the happy bells. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Yes! Productive not perfect is my new goal. I couldn’t get started, because I didn’t have the perfect organization plan. Sooooo I made labels out of scrap paper and labeled in pencil-so I could make it perfect later. Found I didn’t even need to update many of the labels!!! 😃 Thanks, Angela!
LOL. Thanks. It's amazing how many adults in my life (26 employees) that all use them. We have one at every desk and everyone uses them to announce completed projects. It's a thrill. 🤗
I'm truly sorry to hear about the loss of your mom last year. Going through her things must be a difficult and emotional process. Please take all the time you need, and remember that it's okay to feel a mix of emotions. Sending you comfort and support during this challenging time. 🌹🙏❤
I hope you were able to get one, I have been using mine this past month about 4-5 x a week about 6-7 mins now. Will probably stop at 10 mins. I am also doing strength training at home, mostly.
LOL. I have probably 20 of them all over the house. The employees and my husband all use them to "announce they've completed a task." Where ever I am in the house, I can hear the bell, and I add a bell of my own in return as if sending an audible high-five across the rooms in celebration. 🛎🛎🛎
The creator of ChatGPT interview on CBC, Canadian public tv, warned that it will craft from everything it finds. And when the subject is less well-known it will use everything, unverified or even compile something that fits what you ask of it.
Yes, I suppose that is how humans work as well. It will be interesting to see what happens next with ChatGPT. I am loving it though, it helped me solve some API and Webhooks connections this past week. I'm very happy about how specific it became when I got stuck. :-) Are you using it? And how?
I have room but I want to declutter as it will look better and I can clean easier. I'm still working on decluttering not easy at times if I think too much on an item I hurry and throw it out. So far 3 large garbage bags of things I let go.
Congratulations on your progress! Bravo! I'm so proud of you for taking these steps to declutter your space. It’s definitely not easy, but you’re doing an amazing job. Keep it up! 👏🙌🛎🛎

I like your content very much, but I don't agree that we should rely 100% on the internet for books. There are valuable books that are no longer in print or are put in electronic version. So once you throw it away it's nowhere to be found in either form. Some electronic versions are full of errors and misspellings. I propose more balanced approach to books. Maybe checking for electronic version first, before throwing away physical copy. Of course, not all books are valuable to keep, but I prefer more balanced approach in this subject. Best regards.

Aww, thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate you! 😊🤗
Ditto that for Angela from me, too, Gaming Grandma😅

I love this question. Thanks so much for bringing it up and yes, let's discuss this very thing.

Idea: to scan my notebooks with phone app and save each as pdf. Then I can search them electrically.
What a great tip. What app are you using to do this?
It's a hummingbird feeder?
Maybe, but I'm not sure. I didnlt see any openings. I will have to pass by there and take a better look.
The notebooks are in a pile. They're next!
Woohoo...keep it up!! I'm rooting for you!
U can be a psychologist your good !
Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate you. 🙏🙏🙏
