I love watching mark in any survival game with build mechanics. His immediate reaction is to dig as much as possible and just stockpile which is against his usual gameplay style and something about watching Mark absolutely go peak levels of resource mining just because he can is hilarious to me.
Just wait till they find out that iron is only found on 2 planets and they on the wrong one

Watching people who haven't played since early early access play without running through the tutorial is like throwing a small child into the deep end of a swimming pool because he should totally know how to handle floating in water since he spent 9 months doing that.
Lol yea, and I remember the early access stuff the guys did really wasn't much better. This is a game where you don't skip any tutorial, especially since the endgame is just "lol go to every planets core"

At 48:52 , Mark says: "What if air had a taste?" From what I could figure out, apparently Mars' atmosphere would taste acidic. We might not be able to taste Earth's atmosphere because we've been breathing it literally our entire lives.
You can taste the air a little if you breathing though your mouth because it passes by the tongue. Non mouth breathers do not understand that.

if you go to big tourist cities, (specifically Las Vegas, have yet to see it anywhere else), they have these things called "Oxygen Bars" where you put on an O2 mask and breathe flavored air

@BakPak Gaming if you happen to find the purple thingies and power them up, you will find out what you have to do...a nice hint would be that you will have to go deep down.

@@p0uya16 Its def a little un-intuitive but basically you gather resources, make power gens via either solar or wind or burning, get upgrades by burning stuff in the research chambers then make space ships and get off world to do the EXACT same thing again only in a harder environment. It's a huge grind and best played with friends.

The mine my friends and I made when we played Astroneer: A massive, mostly organized hole to the center of the planet, with a flat surface for trucks to drive on to deliver mass amounts of resources to the surface
Mark looking right at the spot where the oxygenator goes without realizing it drove me insane

Seeing Mark play games you've played and struggling to learn stuff that most players pick up on almost immediately is so painful.
I always wanted to see Markiplier get back to this game. It's nice Bob and Wade are playing.
When I saw this I hear “I love space” in my head.
I loved (and cringed while) watching mark silently putting stuff in the side of the base while everyone else was wondering where to put the oxygenater (it goes where mark was putting things)

The most frustrating thing about them not being able to figure things out is the fact that almost everything has either bright colors highlighting them like power cords or just straight up has a description on it when you highlight it...
The fact that he never took the research things makes me wanna scream at the screen

2 years late but the two things I e been yelling at my screen is soil canisters collect soil who would have guessed it used to build land mass and pick up the research items

The difference between the new and old version is so much. Like the need to go to other planets for progression.
Logan Shaw well you have to remember even with how bare bones and simple the old version was Mark still took like 3 whole episodes to even figure out tethers existed and the shame was so strong he didn’t touch the game for like 4 years lol

It's not lol he Streams it on Twitch and just cuts it into short videos. That and Markiplier hasn't posted on his TH-cam so that's not going to happen. People like it more when he plays horror games. Haven't watched Mark that long have you? Hell Raft has gotten more views than most of his other vids.
One of the few times my wife and I started a game before seeing Mark, Bob, and Wade play it, and it is so satisfying to see these guys struggle and complain about the same stuff we did. Even were terse with each other the same way. It's an amazing and robust game, so you tend to feel stupid when you can't figure something out. Glad to know we're in good company. XD

I have never been in so much pain within the first 30 seconds of a video
at about 49:00 the "taste" bob was talking about, everyone gets that its called smell xD
But sometimes one sense can be another like smell letting you know how it tastes or hearing something to see it. Or feel to see. They are interchangeable sense. And you can taste the air if one of the chemicals in the air have to many parts per million. Like to much oxygen tastes like green or trees.
After all of his struggling I think if mark had just started digging the cave out he could have made it into a quarry which would have made it safer and faster

Yeah, canister is good, use to store dirt so you can build dirt ramps. Also good for the converter thingy, changes dirt into other useful stuff. There is a device you build for recycling debris into scrap, shredder, creates stuff used like coins in trade pad to get other stuff like super rare lithium. Hope this helps. Also you can use connectors to extend power or my favorite is medium generator on back of tractor trailer. Yup lotsa stuff in dis game

Certain materials can only be found on other planets then the earth-like one (Iron, etc) also a canister holds soil to allow to put dirt back....
