Hi, This is not simple. You need the mirror (glass) and also the LIN controllers with autodim feature. They are the black roundels behind the plastic caps where the wires comes from. The costs around 100€ each at your dealer (plus glasses...) You don't need extra wire from inner and side mirrors, they are communicating through a data bus (CAN & LIN) so it is almost plug&play. You also will need to recode some modules for get them working.
Hi, Unless your car has memory seats, you will have to rewire the mirrors to the FRM module. This is because you need to add LIN bus between them. I have done it successfully in many cars.
I already have auto dimming inner rearview mirror and I'm thinking about upgrading my side mirrors into auto dimming ones too. It's enough just to replace the side mirrors (only the mirrors, without whole mirror housing) with ones with auto dimming function or I need to do something more? Is wire harness between inner and side mirrors for activating auto dimming already there? Thank you!
e93 like yours. I guess , I need to change some in CAS, because when i instal the mirrors I unplug one of them with ignition ON and some parameters change (like reset) - cold turn signal bulb check, windows didnt move up and down a bit when open and close the doors, but we fix that. the mirrors are dimming, right one go down on reverse, open and close from door button but no remote....when we enable the remote (comfort) in CAS the windows and roof go togather to open from begining
So my car has memory seats and mirror dipping and dimming rear view mirror so i just have to install the new switch with the button and folding mirrors and code it?
I did describe you the problem with remote in your clip for remote open/close. when we enable the comfort in CAS , the windows go all the way down without to keep pushing the key button and from begining (same time ) start to open the roof. no any move for closing even windows- maybe because go togather with roof (last update cancel the roof closing).all that happend after i unpluged the 3pin mirror conector at ignition ON.... 10x

hi, someone stole my passenger side. i bought a new one but its a 3pin....mine is a 5pin holder, how can i bypass to only make the heated mirror work? was considering getting folded mirrors but i know some fool will steal it. but anyways if you have any idea on how to just focus on heated glass that will be a great help.
Which body? E90 or E92? Then you will have 5 pin mirrors. This is a totally different case. I know how to do it but I dont have any DIY for that retrofit. Regards
In that case, it is totally different. You have to install LIN Bus between the FRM module and both left and right mirror. In addition, you have to install LIN Bus to the power window buttons at driver's door. After that, install power lines (possitive and negative) so finally you have 3 wires for each mirror (insted of 5 wires) Code it adding $313 or $430 depending on the mirrors you have installed and that is all. Best regards.

Is it possible for me to do it with an M3 mirror to make it foldable on the E92 335 coupe? Thanks,
If your seats have memories (1,2 and M button) you only need to swap the mirrors and the driver's windows switches. Then recode them. Yes, you can do it with NCS and OBD-DCAN. You only have to add the new equipment and recode the car for this new feature. Regards.

Can you let me know what coding software and cable I need also where I can get them please I'm in the uk. Maybe eBay. Thanks
Recently bought a new mirror. How do I recode the CAS and FRM module in order to get them both working and folding in as it should
If you already had folding mirrors it should be plug&play mate...

hi, someone stole my passenger side. i bought a new one but its a 3pin....mine is a 5pin holder, how can i bypass to only make the heated mirror work? was considering getting folded mirrors but i know some fool will steal it. but anyways if you have any idea on how to just focus on heated glass that will be a great help.
I bought them in ebay but you can find it at your dealer too.
Where can I buy these mirrors and switch? Besides the BMW stealer?
Hi there.
I'm planning to do this, but i have no power seat with memory...what i need to make them work?
Which body? E90 or E92?
Then you will have 5 pin mirrors. This is a totally different case.
I know how to do it but I dont have any DIY for that retrofit.

I have a E65/66 2007 740i Sport .

What more do I need if i dont have Power Seats with memory? I have standard manual seats, but inner mirror with autodimming.
In that case, it is totally different.
You have to install LIN Bus between the FRM module and both left and right mirror.
In addition, you have to install LIN Bus to the power window buttons at driver's door.
After that, install power lines (possitive and negative) so finally you have 3 wires for each mirror (insted of 5 wires)
Code it adding $313 or $430 depending on the mirrors you have installed and that is all.
Best regards.
Just got a quick question about recoding your CAS and FRM module, is it possible to do this by yourself? If not where can I get it done?

Hi,
I have a bmw e90 320D M Sport 2007
Can someone please help me or guide me on how to install power folding mirrors. I am so lost.. not sure what extra wiring is required etc
My car is E92 2010 335i coupe (No premium , cold winter and sport pkg) with power mirror and memory seats. The right mirror can dip down while backing up. I don't have folding mirror function (no folding button on panel) and I want to get a foldable M3 OEM side mirror to install and recode the CAS and FRM. Is it possible for me to do it with an M3 mirror to make it foldable on the E92 335 coupe? Thanks,
Hello. Could you PM me the detalj about retrofit ting these on a E82 123d?
I dont have electric seats btw..
If your seats have memories (1,2 and M button) you only need to swap the mirrors and the driver's windows switches.
Then recode them.
Yes, you can do it with NCS and OBD-DCAN. You only have to add the new equipment and recode the car for this new feature.
Regards.
Do you have video showing how to add the code to the VO?

You have to run some wires from the FRM module to the mirros.
You need LIN Bus and power.

Give me a few time and I will answer you.
Thank you
