I definitely agree. I’ve heard recently, though that it has changed as the bar and kitchen have been sold. The feedback that I have received is that it is now way too noisy and the food went downhill dramatically. Better food at the Castillo.
Great video. I'm a long time visitor to CR since 2005 stayed at the Castillo many times the guy selling cigars at the SL I know him name is Yaney bought from him before sad that the HDR is closed have some great memories
Thanks for the comments, it’s another chapter for CR as many of the staple places have closed but a few have survived. For me the del Rey, New York bar and the freebird hotel will always be in my thoughts. Cheers
At that time the mask policy in Costa Rica was everyone needed to wear a mask regardless of where you were or how many people you were with. If you were walking alone and didn’t have a mask the police would instruct you to put a mask on so it’s just easier to always wear one
@@wanderlust4591 As a tico I can assure that's not really accurate, if you are out in the streets nobody will tell you to put a mask, you do it because you know you have to, it's common sense, there's a virus out there best way of protection is by wearing a mask. Now going into restaurants, hotels, public transportation and pretty much any place with a lot of people they will ask you to put it on
What I can share with you is my experience when I visited San Jose. I’ve personally witnessed numerous police officers asking people to put their mask on that didn’t have it on.
Hotel Amistad by far the best. Great staff.
