The glaring thing to feel very nervous about is: Mr Turn-over Chiles meet a team that will make you turn it over. It's a horrible thought to think what could go wrong.
You guys talked about that Indiana game a couple years ago. That was the first game my 9 year old son ever got to see in Spartan Stadium. Flew all the way across the country to sit in 25 degree weather with sideways snow and so many botched opportunities at the end. Pretty much the nightmare scenario for a Spartan dad trying to instill the love for that team and stadium.
If MSU can run for more than 100 yards, and hold Iowa to less than 200 yards on the ground, then I think MSU can win. It’s all on the O-line-did they improve over the bye week?
@@philgates9876 I think what I said wasn’t as obvious as “whoever rushes for more yards will win.” or “whoever has fewer turnovers will win.”-both of which are no-brainer clichés that sports fans and analysts love to throw out there, and are generally true in any matchup. Do you have anything to add to the conversation, or are you just here to be critical?

We haven’t played well at night. The Green and white just need to win out at home this year for it to be considered a successful year. Bring the pride back to East Lansing!
Before the season started I predicted MSU would be 3-3 (4-2 at best) at the BYE... And voila that's exactly MSU's records haha. I had them splitting the Maryland and BC game. Although I thought we were going to lose to Maryland and beat BC. I am a little disappointed MSU lost to BC... A game they should have won. But looking back, MSU won at Maryland... A game they should have lost if not for a narrowly missed Maryland FG late in 4th quarter. So, my disappointment has kind of balanced out and it's actually better for MSU to win at Maryland and lost to BC since the Maryland game has a conference standing implications (not that I believe MSU will contend for anything in the Big Ten this season). As for the next 2 losses, I don't know what anyone, who's fuming about those two losses, is expecting. A top 10 team would probably came out 0-2 against the number 2 and 3 teams in the country, let alone MSU. That being said... I am getting more concerned about the Illinois, Indiana, and Rutgers games. Those teams are punching above their weight classes at the moment. But I am (slightly) more optimistic about the Michigan and Iowa games. I do believe we take a step (or two) forward this season though... Aidan Chiles, Nick Marsh, Montorie Foster Jr, and Lynch-Adams, and the improved defense are just too good to only win 4 games. I think we'd finish with a 6-6 records (hopefully 7-5) with the 3 wins coming against Purdue, Rutgers and Indiana since they're all at home and Indiana is pretty much untested until now. If I had to pick, the bonus W would be coming from Michigan. I think Michigan would still be one dimensional when they play MSU. And They're just not that good this season. Losing to a bad Udub team, barely beating bad Minnesota and USC teams, and getting spanked by a top team in a similar fashion MSU got spanked by top teams.
Greta episode guys! but Matt I’m a bit concerned you haven’t really watched CFB enough. You keep saying things like iowa is iowa and Michigan is Michigan…. What does that even mean? Iowa has 12 consecutive winning season. Michigan is a recent national champion. You also pronounced Kirk Ferentz’ name wrong. I’m just not sure what point you’re trying to get across and it seems like you don’t actually watch these games. I’m a sports bettor so I’ll just tell you I’m laying -5 with the hawks and I’d be surprised if Michigan state wins the game.
ppl like you really suck lol, he’s clearly talking about the current year and situation, not the outlook of their programs, iowa has been a team that has struggled on offense but been an elite defense for years and that’s what has led them to those winning seasons. this year the defense isn’t elite and the offense still looks like an iowa offense. i don’t even think i have to explain michigan they can’t pass the ball at all😭
obviously you misinterpreted what he was saying, iowa is known as a team that carries themselves by having an elite defense and a really bad, i mean really bad offense. They don’t have an elite defense this year, and even with caleb johnson, they are super one dimensional in their offense. michigan obviously is far removed from their nation champion selves as they can’t even pass the ball at all and probably have the most one dimensional offense in the nation. hope this comment helps and i hope iowa can at least score five points for you bud🤞🏾
