Can't wait for this game. I'm choosing to believe that the second half against Purdue was an aberration. Given the stakes for this game, a sellout, 100th anniversary, stadium re-dedication, etc.. my prediction is Illinois by 2.
@@garybrennan8444 someone in a forum said that ALLEGEDLY we spent the last 2 weeks preparing for Michigan and did very little to prepare for Purdue and it almost cost us. It would make sense considering how bad our defense was against Purdue. But, I don’t know how much I believe it because it seems very unrealistic for Bielema to look overlook any opponent.
If you would have told me that Illinois would be 5-1 going into the Michigan game, I'd have been HELLZ YEAH. Let's make Memorial Stadium LOUD for the young men out there representing us. They got this. Either way, it's going to be FUN. Can Illinois keep our QB clean? Can Michigan run effectively on Illinois? I'll be there for it.

I think Bret Bielema is a great fit for Illinois, but you reporters need to ask him the tough questions during press interviews. The elephant in the room is the poor run defense which kept our offense off the field for most of the second half in the Penn State game and, of course, allowing Purdue to march up and down the field also in the second half. Aaron Henry's only answer was to "put his players in a better position." I would love to hear Bret's response. Go Illini!
I think Illinois is going to need a few surprises up their sleeve to win this one. I want some trick plays, exotic screens, etc. if Bielema wants to play a grind it out game like last time we played Michigan it’s going to be tough.
What we need is a little more muscle on the off and def lines...And maybe some better lb work too..We are just few plays from having a GREAT season with good players..It's not over for ILL even after this game guys... Perception is not reality..

You're bashing their record but if we beat Michigan that means we have 3 RANKED team wins... Only loss is a tough loss to a top 3 team..Beat a rival that walloped us last year( Purdue,. remember?)..It made perfect sense for Walters to call offense against his own defense and his main pupil..Thos is a great chance at moving forward but a loss to Michigan doesn't really kill an opportunity to a Big ten playoff because we still have 5 games left ...

I have no idea what a "ranked first ranked game" is? Where do we find these game rankings? I know where to find team rankings, not game rankings before the game is played. What game is the "ranked second ranked game" or the "ranked third ranked game?" What are the metrics in determining these rankings?
My only guess is that this is a weird way to say that Illinois is a ranked team playing another ranked team. Why not just say that?

It is a ranked versus a ranked team. Both teams are ranked in the top 25. I think you misunderstood.
