That rustic hot tub looks like an oasis, that was probably awesome to enjoy. Maybe we'll find out in the next vid? Well done on the maul handle creation, That's not easy to do in the field.👍
We smell, feel, taste the ash! We are men of the ash! It's hard on your gear Like boots clothes tools etc. Charcoal is a wonderful cleanser, it purifies the water of environmental fallout, although for the first few years after a fire 🔥 the runoff gets a bit muddy.
It's a Morchella - we see that species a lot surrounding the edges of muskeg bogs, possibly mature Morchella snyderi but hard to say because we so many different natural species growing together. Can confirm it's not a Verpa bohemica though, I am familiar with them. That patch was a little over mature and their stipes were starting to elongate and curl over a bit.
When walking in y'all should have that bear spray on your side instead of in your gear that would be totally not cool needing that and it would be packed away by the time you got to it it'd be too late be safe out there
You're right, one of us always does, it's attached to bucket with a carabineer. We pick in pairs for this reason as well, bear banger also on hand. Have had dozens of run ins with bears over the years - bear spray is a must at all times! I should mention that the reason we don't carry it on the hip all the time, is because have been occasions where the bear spray was punctured or compromised by accident.
love all those wild yellow flowers around your Camp, beautiful❤️🥰❤️

I love how you keep expanding your camp. Great video, thanks.
We try to have our camp done before the mushrooms are ready to pick seriously. It's hard work with long hours, so a good camp pays off.

What is that you have built at 7:47?

Great content, TY for sharing this. I was wandering if you had any contact info for selling dried morels?
Thanks for the comment. You can find our email address in the about section of our channel.
The one at 10:33 doesn’t look like a morel
