😄 Hello guys! 😃 This app is *FREE* and it allows you to find native speakers brc.hellotalk.com/TH-cam_FRComprehensibleInput to practise with. I had already used it before they contacted me (I only used the FREE version) and I think it's a great way to find a language exchange partner! I wouldn't recommend that you guys turn on the subtitles in your native language because there is already ways to comprehend what he says and it wouldn't be that effective for learning because you only read those subtitles and don't look at his mimic, bodyspeech and all those visual explanations. Keep up learning and have a nice one! 💪🏻
Za_coñox 069 French is good at the beginning and when you have progressed further, I would recommend, turning them off because when you talk to a person it is pretty unlikely that some magical subtitles will appear. :D
I’ve been trying to learn French for years now but still can’t understand when people speak. This is exactly what I need. A few comprehensible words put together to start building phrases straight away. I haven’t a huge vocabulary but struggle to say anything. So again, merci beaucoup
Guys, please listen to his videos repeatedly! Like 20 times!! Listen until you know what he’s going to say next. This is probably a hidden gem on YT, and it actually works when you use it correctly! You can start thinking in French, which will lead to dreaming and easier flow of speech. Essentially shortening the bridge gap when you’re English/other language “brain” is trying to translate into French for speech. These videos are GOLD!!
I have dual citizenship (French and Swiss), but I would say that I speak a standard Geneva French. This means that my intonation is a bit less flat that a speaker from Paris for example. I will also sometimes use a word or an expression which is used in Geneva and wouldn't be used in Paris. 99.9+% of the rest is the same though.
Im telling you man there is such a market for hundreds of these videos it just isnt popularized knowledge yet, I would absolutely love more of these kinds of videos!
Is it weird I got teared up of excitement because I could understand everything? Spanish is my first language, and I'm going to learn French by someone who writes in English. I just love languages!!
this is really helpful, i can confirm this, because i didnt even realize i had the subtitles on, but found myself picking up everything u were saying in accordance to the words, maybe not ever word, but i pretty much understood, we need more of this. This is one of the ways the need to be teaching us stuff in school rather than bombarding us with memory tests. thanks
Hello! I've learnt French in school for three years but stopped a few years ago. Now I want to start learning it again and figured since I forgot a lot, I'd start on A1 (especially because I don't know which level I used to be). Learning with videos like this is great, so thank you for making them!
Between French and Mandarin, I was choosing Mandarin as a third or additional language to acquire, then after hearing it on TH-cam found it not ear-catching. So searched for French and this great channel popped up which I find this channel and this guy so joyful cause he is not teaching French, he is trying to make comprehensible messages to make acquiring language. Learning and acquiring are different and if you want to acquire a new language, DO NOT MAKE YOURSELF TIRED by just following that school-made pedagogy to start from the alphabet and memorizing words, and so on. Enjoy the journey. First I watched it then with French subtitles which made it much more comprehended. Thank you.
I need a channel to learn French via comprehensible input, and this is perfect. Going to attempt to go through all the videos because this is very well done. Thank you!
I recently got to meet some new relatives (a grandma, a few aunts and uncles, and a few cousins) for the first time who live all the way in Normandy. Ever since then I've wanted to learn French so that the next time I see them so I can talk with them more. I am in the beginning stages of learning French but I am pleased to announce that with not too much help from the captions I was able to understand a lot of it! Your visuals are very helpful, when you made the heart with your hand to show you were saying "j'aime" it really clicked in my head for me. Thank you so so so much sir!
Hi Lucas, thank you so much for the online one on one lesson via Zoom. I am so happy I won the Patreon lucky draw this month. The list of words and expressions that you gave me at the end of the lesson was very helpful. I am also glad I was able to talk to you about various topics even though my French is only beginner level. You are a very nice and funny person! I really enjoyed our conversation :)

I think it's not a good idea to start learning French now because my German isn't good enough yet. I just wanna stop by and say hello to you. I would recommend to check AJ Hoge channel. I learned English from his courses. He's using mini stories and point of view stories to teach English by audio. You might wanna check his website.

Hey. I saw your post on reddit today and I came here to thank you for the video. The way you speak and gesture is as clear as it should be for someone who is starting to learn French. I've tried learning French in the past, but I quit like... 5 times (?) because it always seemed hard - and it is indeed - to learn without a presencial course. Thank you so much! I've been using "Dreaming Spanish" for Spanish and I was so happy to find your channel. If anyone wants to speak with native speakers in exchange for speaking your native language, I've had really good luck with Conversation Exchange. It's all FREE -- no premium memberships or constant up-selling. As a "mature" person, I've had better luck with this platform than the others. I've found 3-4 people who are willing to commit to an hour a week of exchanged conversations. It really helped my Spanish. I'm not quite there yet for French, but I'm going to give it a try.
Tres Bien. Sorry for for accent marks, I don't have that figured out yet for typing. Been studying french a little everyday for a few weeks as a beginner, and I absolutely love this.
just came across this and i loved it!! picked up just about everything you said. i’m half French but i never learned the language growing up, so i wanna teach myself now. more of these!
i found your channel of your comment on a video about learning French and I really like your way of delivering the meanings and how u talk slowly! I about to begin learning the language and I'm trying to figure everything out
imagine yourself learning more than 50 words in less than 4 mins having comprehended more than 70 %, that's unbelievable, FUN FACT: comprehensible input needs to be established in your mind, so don't rush, be patient and your efforts will be be paid OFF of course just don't rush and enjoy, PEACE.
I found you through a comment on a video about learning languages. Best click of my month so far. Will try to learn by watching one of your videos a day, and watching another video in French, maybe a news outlet. Thank you! I hope to keep this up.
Welcome aboard! :-D I'm very glad you came across the channel and think it can be useful. Continue trying other new methods and watch/read/listen to everything you can! One thing is for sure, some comprehensible input you enjoy can only help! I wish you a great day and keep it up! :-)
Merci beaucoup! I'm aiming to learn the languages of Switzerland - Swiss German, French, Italian... and Albanian (just kidding 😄😅) - starting with French. Your lessons have been an excellent starting point and have significantly helped me on my language learning journey. Your teaching skills and dedication are deeply appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work!

Génial !
Tres Bien. Sorry for for accent marks, I don't have that figured out yet for typing. Been studying french a little everyday for a few weeks as a beginner, and I absolutely love this.
Great! Keep it up! :-D
As a french watching this is absolutely hilarious

Cheers mate! I've just uploaded the second one ;-)
imagine yourself learning more than 50 words in less than 4 mins having comprehended more than 70 %, that's unbelievable, FUN FACT: comprehensible input needs to be established in your mind, so don't rush, be patient and your efforts will be be paid OFF of course just don't rush and enjoy, PEACE.
Cool concept!
Cheers! :-)
this is the real way to learn the language.
I found you through a comment on a video about learning languages. Best click of my month so far. Will try to learn by watching one of your videos a day, and watching another video in French, maybe a news outlet.
Thank you! I hope to keep this up.
Welcome aboard! :-D
I'm very glad you came across the channel and think it can be useful. Continue trying other new methods and watch/read/listen to everything you can! One thing is for sure, some comprehensible input you enjoy can only help!

Bonjour Lucas,
THANK YOU! This is what I wanted. :)
Can you do more for A1(beginners) please?
I will try! Just need to have 48 hours in a day :-P

Hello,
I just would like to give a suggestion as i am a beginner in French I think it would be better if you could put the french and english subtitle so that we can catch each frwnch word you utter.
Thank you!
Hello Farzana! 🙂
Thanks for the comment. There are subtitles in French, English and sometimes Russian. Does it display on your TH-cam account? (options in the bottom right corner)
Keep me posted! 👌
