Sasori's obsession with eternal life and beauty, could also be expressed when Kankuro mastered his skills and added Sasori to his collection of puppets. In a way, Sasori did achieve this dream more than Deidara did with his. Because he will forever live on being useful, albeit being a weapon rather he likes it or not?
You let me down not mentioning that Sasori also hated to be kept waiting cause he waited for his parent to come back and they never did, so when he was kept waiting to long he would think something they died. (Hated Orchimaru who never came back, SUPER anger everytime Deidera left him waiting, also why he liked poison. Works fast and does the work for him so you don’t have to wait on him)
Poison works fast but still took 3 days to kill Kankuro 🤦♀️

When Sasori went up against Sakura and Chiyo, it was a proper taste of how crazy powerful each member of the akatsuki is. I love the character no matter what the popular opinion on his death is. He is awesome.
I always felt like sasori was tortured by his depression and his failure to remove his emotions thus never actually being a puppet. This made him suicidal but he was extremely proud as well. That’s why he saw granny chio as an opportunity to properly die and never intended on killing her. Or at the very least being able to die with one of the people he cherished most.
Something I think is funny is the way I perceive Sasori, Itachi and Hidan's interactions within the Akatsuki.
Sasori must be horrified by Itachi's actions. You grow up in a loving (by Narutoverse standards anyway) home with both parents and you kill them? Whereas Hidan is everything he wants to be: invulnerable and eternal.
But Hidan would see Sasori as an abomination because he spends his whole life trying to avoid pain. He's a heathen of the highest order. On the other hand, Itachi is the best example of Hidan's "kill thy neighbor" ethos in the entire series.
And of course Itachi the Pacifist probably can't stand Hidan's entire... Hidaness, but I could see him holding some respect for Sasori's craft.

Exactly! If I’m not mistaken, upon learning that kankuro appreciated sasori’s art and cherished it, it allowed him to sever his edo tensei connection

Utilizing those puppets to make up for the lack of combatants is in the same mentality as the Shadow Clones without the drawback of chakra depletion.
it still is a form of chakra depletion as it would require more chakra to use more puppets, although i do get where your going with this.

Never forget that there aren't many taijutsu users better the Chiyo either, she wasn't just a puppet master, finding her likely made you more likely to not return home from the battle field, than having to fight and maybe escape from her puppets.
Sasori is my favorite naruto character. Thank you for speaking the truth of how awesome he really is. Losing to Sakura and HIS GRANDMOTHER and greatest counter isn't an anti feat

Sasori was arguably the 4th strongest of the akatsuki. Without Sakura or Tsunade you WILL die from his poison. He can attack from every angle, be effective both close and long range, and could access powerful kekkei genkai in the 3rd kazekage. Nagato, Konan, and Obito are the only ones of the akatsuki that would be safe.
Fun fact: One of Chiyo's puppets heavily resembles Mito Uzumaki. Hashirama's wife.

Correction: Sasori isn't the first member of Akatsuki to die. There far more others before him. But he's the first member that we, the viewers, watch die. 😔
This was a really solid video. I enjoyed it a lot and feel like I learned more about Sasori. It's a shame that some of this content wasn't in the manga, but at the very least these other events do really help flesh out the character. The character analysis was really fun and it was cool to see how the pieces came into place.

Sasori is my favorite Akatsuki member, besides Konan & Kakazu. Thank you for going more in depth about his character and style since hes actually a pretty strong remember if gone against anyone else due to his Poison Arsenal.

I was having a rough day, thought I would watch a little Naruto video on youtube to cheer me up. I was not prepared for the emotional words at the end of this. Sasori is one who doesn't get enough attention. He is one of the most interesting characters in all of Naruto. I know everything there is to know about him actually because I found him so interesting.
Yeah before I watch Sakura and Chiyo vs Sasori and I enjoyed it my classmates said it's bad and flat and as a child that I am I don't understand why, so I watch it over again until I can't find why is it bad.
Then I was older teenage mature mind I rewatched the battle again and realized my classmates before were kinda right, however what the flaws of the battle doesn't justify that That Battle is spectacular. And it is one of my favorites in Shippuden. You can say top 8

First off wow, this is the first time I've ever watched your long form content. This is night and day difference from your shorts. Anyway Sasori was very interesting to me. I always wanted to see how the battle between him and the third Kazekage went. I thought he had a bunch of layers both mentally and physically. Very good video.

I really think Sasori was an Uzumaki because who else in the Naruto/Boruto universe has survived transferring their life force into something else. He performed the "ones own life" justu that he's able to manipulate from within

Sasori is by far my favourite Naruto character his design and jutsu are some of my favourite in the series, I have would liked if he lived longer but his story felt so complete, great video on him.

There are only three Akatsuki members who can beat Sasori, and Konan ain't one of em.

I’ve been waiting for this video from every Naruto TH-camr. One of my favorite characters in Naruto
The thing is, the kazekage puppet was stronger than the original 3rd kazekage because we could see sasori kill the 3rd multiple times, but in order to defeat an edo tensei you need to seal it away. Sasori wasn't aware of that so the only thing he could do was attack him, which didn't work out in his favor because the 3rd was coming back to life over and over again. Overall, I believe that the puppet version of the kazekage is stronger since it has secret weapons, poison and the iron sand as opposed to the original 3rd kazekage who has got only the iron sand.
Except the puppet doesn't have chakra.
Sasori pumps his own intorno him and realistically Sasori is far weaker than Gaara.

Gaara had much better feat than the weak puppet of the Third Kazekage.

Not only that, sasori even managed to defeat the 3rd without using his kazakage puppet against him, which says a lot about his power. The gaara that fought against deidara might lose to sasori since sasori is stronger than deidara, but war arc gaara wins mid-high dif.
I never realised Sasori was such an interesting character. This was a great and intriguing explanation of his character.
