For an action film, Bang Bang is so sharp and crisp in its editing and cinematography that you cannot just take your eyes off of action sequences. Its pure trashy-fun but so fluid in its runtime and transitions. The camera work is brilliant. It deserves a sequel, even more so in today's time when big budget non-superhero action movies are big attention grabbers amongst the audience.
It did good money on the box office but didn't quiet hit it out of the park like most trashy-fun action films do today @@DeadBoY-z8s . It couldn't maintain a good hold after the initial sparkling burst. The Director Sid Anand was not happy and said the movie underperformed slightly.

Light hearted action movies are meant to be on the trashy side but sometimes these movies get bad mouthed by traditional movie reviewers who judge every piece critically. I think no one mentioned this here and I am not sure if the reviewers know: it is impossible to steal Kohinoor anyway. Kohinoor being the diamond used in British crown. Queen wore it when this movie was made. (Colonial loot taken from India and Indians often ask Brits to return it). So that was another joke.
Lakshya is a great idea. Has hrithik. Also, to keep the same upbeat viewing streak, watch chennai express and Gully Boy. Also, band bajaa baarat, ranveer s debut.
It was not well received in India by either the critics or the audience and the rotten tomatoes score reflects that. Mostly because you think it was a B class movie being a B class movie but no, this was made on one of the biggest budgets at the time and claimed to be the most stylish high budget action film made in India which it was not. Also, Idk where you got your numbers from, the actual budget was 160 cr and it had a India nett collection of 145 cr, which is lower than its budget and hence it was an average grosser not a hit. However, that being said, i love this movie as well, just a fun mindless action entertainer but it didn't work for the audience or the critics.
