- i made a trip to a salvage yard to look for seats for a 1969 barracuda and while i was there,i took alot of pics of cars and some trucks.lots of dodges and mopars and alot of chevy cars too. not many fords or foreign cars though. most of these are for sale and for parts.most cars are still restoreable. i did get permission to go there so i didnt trespass or break in. the yellow cuda in the warehouse was my favorite one. if you like anything please comment and ill give you some contact info.. the yard is in nacogdoches,tx.
P.S. the place is heavily secured so dont think of breaking in or you will get caught. the feed mill in the background is still in business and its very busy and 18 wheelers use the gravel road that im parked on quite often (the red 1986 chevy is my daily driver and is for sale in the deep east texas craigslist.) - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Man, there is some legends in that salvage yard.
the automobile at 2.56 is a Camaro with a protective fiberglass cover, screwed into the grille piece, that prevents rubble from penetrating the radiator---it has a Latham Blower fixed to the carburetors, only for drag race, and those few seconds racing toward hell
I have found yards like that all over the US as well as Canada and Mexico.
I have been in the Classic cars all my life and many times you can buy bran new parts cheaper than in a Salvage Yard. In the winter months when my trucking business was slow I would drive around and buy cars and then resale them to dealer's. There are stil thousands of old cars around. On Highway 50 in Kansas there is a place behind a huge Cattle Feed lot that has only 1930's Fords.
agreed, the valley at the top/rear of the door jam. that gave it away for me.

Omg I think I'm going to cry. There are so many beauties there that are just waiting for some TLC. Man...this just blows my mind.
This man has a gold mine and im sure he knows it.people would travel this entire country to buy parts and whole cars.
looks like my uncle johns school,he bought a old burnt up school in alabama and turned the gym into a giant garage and all the classrooms into parking garages and the yard is filled with firebirds stockcars thunderbirds mustangs etc.

1968 Satellite was my favorite , one of these was the first car I ever licensed for the road.

thanks. i used windows movie maker and i tried to play"the last song" by theory of a deadman but youtube didnt like it so i used this song and i have to say i was impressed with youtubes selections

In Pratt, Kansas There was a place owned by an old Oil man that had 1940's Cadillac all just needing Motor over hauls because he burnt Drip Gas in them and it was to hot and burnt the valves and cylinder's. Threw out Nebraska and all those areas there are hundreds of Old Cars sitting out on the back 40's of Ranch's.
Good luck trying to find one. Even in the worst shape people want top dollar for them. 70+ is the cheapest ones youll find but thats when they changed everything on them.
Even had a hot rod Triumph - a GT6. Scarce car!
@dodgeramsrule1 Thank you for replying, I'm only 15 but I love old cars much more than the new ones and I would rather rescue an older one and restore it than go buy a new one

The 80s people used these cars as just drivers and threw them away once they were done with them.

This is so sad, so many can be restored but now days the kids are going for shitty imports and rice grinders. Im 16 and i own a 1976 chevy laguna s-3, not restored yet, but soon i do want a plymouth duster and cuda.... Such sadness how these nice cars of QUALITY are neglected.

It looks like a 69 Trans Am. Notice the split grill and the top of the fender doesnt have a huge curve like the 67-69 Camaro.

I found an old junkyard in marksville Louisiana with more old cars and F100s than i can count.

That is a 1967 Camaro with a one piece fiberglass nose. It is probably a lift off or tilt nose.

they sure do. when i see restored cars it makes me want to go work on my 69 cuda project and get it 1 step closer to driving it. ive been kinda slacking off of working on it recently which i hate to think about that.
i wouldnt know what to say on how much. i know theyre not that cheap but hed probably take 3 grand on the white one. i know its got a motor in it and solid floors when i looked last and has complete interior unless he parted it out but it needs lots of work here and there.

if i remember right its a 1959 mercury turnpike. thats the car that stood out the most to me when i did the pics
I like the 70 Plymouth b body at 1:31, either a roadrunner or maybe a gtx, not a satellite based on the tail light bezels. I'd be interested in the car and in taking the 3 hour drive from Dallas if some one could get me the number of the yard or its owner.

I just figured out where it is its in nacogdoches, texas which is a bummer for us aussies out there.
At 3:35 there is a '68 thru '70 body style Charger...
wonder what his prices are and how the frames are holdin up as far as rust... saw a few cars that were nice as hell... looked to be in good condition to restore, i like the race car @2:55 too... lots of beautiful cars
good eyes you got. lol ive never seen a car like that and i thought it was pretty rare too but it was almost gone. it had no floors in it that ive seen although there was a paper sign that said "1000$ no rust and runs" it did have the motor though

They Plymouth ?type at 0:44 looked easily restorable. I am Chevy man but I like some of the old Mopar muscle cars.

Hi, not sure if your still checking this or not. But I have 2 cars I'm restoring. A 1972 Charger SE, and a 1973 Corvette. Im not worried about parts for the Corvette but iI did see that Corvette in the tube. I have tons of places to get NOS parts for it so not looking so much for my Corvette, But this place looks promising for my charger. Can I get some contact info? hell sell most of the cars but i think he wants to hold on to a few. and its not an actual salvage yard with operating hours. its basically his hoard of cars he has acquired over the years and now i think he is willing to sell most of them. i know hes only there on weekends and its always locked up during the week so go on a saturday and im sure the owner is there. good luck!
Is this the yard next to Nacogdoches Mill Work ? I always wondered if
any of the vehicles were for sale. I come across yards like this on my travels and even though I was polite and offered more than fair cash amounts on the spot, I usually was turned down. Most of the time they didn't care about the money. About 6 yrs. ago I found a very restorable 1968 Plymouth 383 4 spd. Roadrunner. The owner had about 20 vehicles lying all over the yard. I got to the point of offering to restore his favorite car, a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang + 7 k for the Roadrunner , he said no not interested!! I left empty handed..
nsascn that s such a shame there's so many sick people out there that would rather let a classic rot away and let trees grow up and through them, than let them go to a good new home and appreciative people like us,it's a real crime. I like the comment of, even if they're too far gone,just put them in a field to let people know what real cars were in the past.
i know of one duster that was turned into a race car and another one thats still mostly stock on the right at 43 seconds. not sure of any wagons other that the one at 3:18
There’s a junkyard like that in eastern indiana with muscle cars and old cars from as far back as the 40’s....nobody is allowed in there.....
