love that you brought up the laziness of the jerseys with panini cards. I really noticed it this year with football products. I pulled an rpa of a packers player and as a huge fan I knew the jersey piece was from 2 years ago because they hadnt worn those throwbacks in a while. they need to do better!

I totally agree with the patches. It's SOOOOOO lazy and there are no excuses for why they don't have game used jerseys. They are paying so much to these leagues for NIL rights, why are they not getting game used jerseys?!
I totally agree on the napkins. My young son actually loves them, perhaps more than autos, but for me, I value them less than even a regular silver parallel. If it's that hard or expensive to get player-worn/game-used jerseys, then perhaps print fewer patch cards. That's win-win since the rarity makes them more valuable, and people will be more willing to chase them. Panini insults us with the napkins.

Super nice box dude, the hobby lobby napkins also grinds my gears especially from a product that is known for being higher quality than others, and I also think that from watching breaks for some reason the La Liga cards, even base, look higher quality for some reason and camo’s should be lower numbered. Good video and keep them coming!!!!

I’ve never been a huge fan of those cameos but the cameos in this set look really clean! I just wish for once they made premier league set not have such a high print run! Chelsea and USMNT action in a zebra, my kind of card!! Great Vid!

At this point with the non-associated patches, I just see it as part of the card design, I’m way past that Panini’s ever gonna put game used memorabilia on (Cards), so I just kind of see it as an extra parallel if you will to add to the eye appeal of the card

If the jersey in the card is not associated with the player, I would not consider the card as a jersey card, but just as a card with a special pattern. I would never buy such cards for a standard price because they feel like a error. I'm disappointed that the so called high end cards of panini was made with this little effort. I personlly prefer topps product nowdays because of many problems that panini has including the one in the video. Anyway, nice video as always! Keep up the good work!

You right about the patch stuff, it's a absolute joke that's allowed and if Fanatics wants to grow the hobby the way they say then I hope they kill off this behavior.
Yeah Fanatics will probably fix the basketball and football stuff but soccer will stay with Panini for a while

EPL select hobby can get you up to 3 autos and nicer SSPs. I'd go with that. Donruss is just more diverse if you're not that into the EPL

Yeah I pulled a dual patch Haaland and Alvarez but was annoyed it’s not game used. The short print ones are game used though. At least some
pretty good box, yeah these napkins are ridiculous unless it’s actually from that player match worn or at least training worn and they got the kit while they watched them sign the auto sticker sheets but id rather have a non-patch numbered card, even a high numbered card.

I hate panini for not putting game worn in the patch cards. They did put match worn in the patch/autos though. I pulled a /15 IHEANACHO patch/auto and it was match worn.
Same thing with Antony as the Alvarez/halaand one. He’s never worn that uniform.

I pulled a Messi patch out of La Liga that says player worn/match used. Agree that the non associated patches are a bummer

Crazy that the mitoma might be the most expensive. No big hits but so many good ones that it definitely makes the box worth it

I think either do match worn patches or don’t do patches, the non associated are not in any way relevant or collectible so it’s the worst part of this set, I still love the set though and luckily got a stain glass Alvarez!

I don’t collect patches at all unless it’s game worn. To me it’s a stain on the card. I like color matching / complimenting numbered cards. Patches are cool if they are real. I don’t want the card at all if it’s not match worn.
I just don't understand how Panini get away with non associated patches I mean what even is the point? Same in donruss
They can since they don't announce it in the checklists that come out on release day or a bit after. Could be a big problem for them in the future
for me, I don't really care as much when it comes to not associated stuff. It would be nice if they were all game-used, but that's hard to get and player-worn and not associated seems like the same thing to me, because the player prob put it on for 2 seconds and took it right back off. But when they aren't even the same season, that's when it gets crazy. I hate to see that, especially on a potentially high-end card like with haaland and alvarez

Yaya Toure auto!!! STONE.COLD. BALLER. He's one of my favorite players ever and very rarely failed to disappoint. To be such a big guy, he had amazing mobility and technique. His power was immeasurable and his touch was impeccable. He gets a lot of respect but never as much as he deserves.💪🤩⚽🔥

My issue with the mems is if theyre just taking them from any old jersey MAKE THEM COOL. Give us multiple colors, part of the lettering/patches from the jersey, etc. If its a napkin it better at keast be player worn! They put in zero effort to the point the mems are worthless.

Non-worn mems shouldn’t be in the hobby at all. Unfortunately panini is king when it comes to this. In all products across all sports. Kinda lame but yeah I agree with you. Has no place in being in these boxes. Especially in hobby boxes where people send 200+
I like the the vibe they are going for with select but man the autos and mems were so horrible it makes me not wanna be anywhere near these hobby boxes, too many redemptions, too many legends nobody cares about that they have stickers for and need to use up, ive seen /5 patches not even player worn its just cringe man
also that antony patch looks like a swiffer wet jet i use to clean my floors
