Years ago when I was newly divorced and a single parent of 3, I utilized my local food pantry. Now that my children are all grown and I am able, I donate to my food pantry. If fact others from my family have joined in. I have also asked what foods are needed. The big need was canned soup and pepper. We also donate excess garden produce in season.
