I found your video list. Really good info for a lot of the beginners at the ceramic studio I'm taking classes at. I'll share your channel with them. I learned a few useful ideas already from your videos; just today! Things I haven't learned from three classes I've taken so far. So, you should feel good about the information you're conveying to the world of newbie potter's.
+Chris Amar Awwww! Thanks, Chris!! :-) Many of the things I have learned just from the experience of doing things wrong, and trying to find ways to make them work right! ;-) And, teaching kids has been so helpful in seeing the problems that they often encounter, and trying to guide them to avoid the issues! I'm so glad you find the videos helpful! I'm constantly amazed that what began as videos to help my students in my high school classes has reached a bigger audience than I could have ever imagined! :-) Glad to be of some assistance to you! If you ever have a video suggestion or questions for me, please let me know! :-)
i want to start pottery so badly because i find it so fascinating and so much fun but I'm 15 and broke so lol. so probably in the future but for now ill watch videos.
+Chris Amar Lol! Awesome, Chris! I have a variety of wheel throwing and trimming ones on my channel... if you want an easier way to locate them you could look at my channel playlist for wheel throwing! :-) Good luck- shoot me any questions you might have! :-) Karan
Sure! As in my other wheel throwing videos- I am throwing Laguna B-mix, come 5/6 with grog. It is a lovely white and creamy clay body with a bit of grog helpful for those larger pieces!
Thanks Karan. This summer I got to use b-mix both with grog and without. It truly is a wonderful clay body. Thank you for sharing your work. Do you have any videos showing trimming?
+KaransPotsAndGlass I ADORE Laguna B-mix! I prefer the WC-401 (no grog), but there's no local distributor here in N. Indiana. I bought 100# from a local studio and still have about 25# left. My sister lives near Cinci, so the next time I visit her I will make a road trip to pick some up!
+KaransPotsAndGlass Of the many clay bodies I've used. Laguna B-Mix is super nice and most porcelain like. I can see why it is one of the most popular clay bodies available.
I really appreciate your videos; I'm just getting into pottery and watching the different glazing and throwing techniques you do are an immense help!

I will do that. Thanks Karan.
Amazing! You won’t even have to visit the gym on the days you make these big bowls!

Hello Karan, can you post which clay body you're using here? Thanks.

Awesome! There are a couple of distributors near me- Cornell Studio Supply in Dayton, and also and Queen City Clay in Cincy!
