I'm using a ~6mm mainsheet (polyester braid over dyneema core) as suggested, yet I still find that there's slip using your 'Robert Scheidt method': i.e., it holds if there's constant pressure on the strap, but if there's pressure on and off, it gets a little bit looser every time the strap gets reloaded. Is this common? Any recommendations? thanks,
the "robert scheidt" method however is extremely difficult to adjust while sailing, for example when rounding a mark from upwind to downwind while in the first method it's fairly easy.. personally i prefer the first method. maybe it needs exactly the right rope diameter in order to work properly
