Amen, Brother! When I first got into printing, I was more into getting the printer to work properly...old gear-head habits die hard! Now my ONLY concern is high-quality printing...can't be bothered to keep on fixing little issues all day long.
Yea for sure. They 100% changed the 3D Printing industry in the same way Tesla changed the Car industry. Everyone is pushed to adapt or get left behind.
I printed this model in PETG, so when you need to dry the desiccate you can simply place it in your filament dryer. Of course you can pour it out into a container then dry it. But hey it’s less work and less likely to spill desiccate each time you load and unload them.
You should be able to put PLA in your dryer, too, since it's made to dry that as well. My SUNLU dryer has PLA defaulting to 60°C, but PETG to only 45°C for some reason. I leave the desiccant bags in the middle of the spools when I'm drying out filament in there, so they dry out, too.
These should be made from PETG minimum anyway. I've seen some people have slight warping with these if they print a lot of high temp filaments Iike nylon or PC.
I like that vent design on those desiccant pods, reminds me of starwars - and the hinged funnels built in? I should have printed those lol. I did ones that were more minimalist with a grid infill for their grills on front and back and basically a 2001 monolith shape for all 5 of em. I see why these are popular since they have handles and built in funnels.
I’m guessing you’ll be using desiccant beads with those, if so, I’d recommend printing them in ABS or ASA. That way when the beads are saturated with moisture, you can just pop them in the oven or microwave to dehydrate them instead of having to empty each pod 👍🏾
I was about to buy the X1C but then the Qidi Plus 4 came out. Larger print bed and ability to print higher temperature materials sold me on it. The price also helped seal the deal.
I have the x1c and we have a very toxic relationship. I simply ask that it contribute to our relationship and it responds with spaghetti strings, I ask it for a simple print and it responds with a clogged extruder 😢😢 I purchased my ams unit separately and it worked great for a week 😑 I also purchased the a1 mini but it choked to death ☠️ on some wood filament and I buried it in my garage 😂😂 Good luck 🍀
Get the P1S and keep what $ you save for filaments and accessories. Just got mine in and i'm more than happy with the quality and the extra $ in my wallet. Good thing too bc the first few accessories i plan to print (ams riser, drawers for underneath) take about 7 spools total.
I'm not sure what the X1C would give you over the P1S for PLA-only printing especially considering it's double the price. Hell, just go for the P1P and save an extra hundred
As an owner of an x1c, buy the p1s, me and my brother haven't used any weird filament, I've also saw a comment saying that the p1s has less issue, with the remaining money, PLEASE buy a different build plate like PEI, since the stock ones are trash
Planning to buy Bambulab printer in new year. Watched lots of videos about it. The print quality seems top. Cant compare to my poor Ender-3 that i have to adjust before every print.
Curious what print profile you used? 0.16 layer quality profile? Or standard 0.20? I get some super clean prints on the 0.16 layer high quality profile. Of course that slows things a bit but they come out so freaking clean! I started with a CR-10SE and KE back in December. Watched your videos to get the rooted. But eventually got tired of messing around. Got a bambu and now I have two P1S, an A1 and A1 mini. Got rid of everything else. They just print. No questions asked!
A good starter would be the A1 or A1 mini. The X1C is for advanced materials or for people who have money to spend. Big enough for me but I have no doubt they'll eventually release a bigger one. Not sure about this yest though.

Bratux Privet. I had printed a set of something like these, but these look way better. Is this model off of their bambu app? I started off with a P1P and ended up with 2 more X1Cs and for the size they are just great. Even aded a internal heater to my P1P with a full aluminum body I built for it for some real PA-CF printing.

It's one of the top consumer printers in 2024 as far as I understand, $1500 as shown, can get cheaper versions but this one handles the most materials. Yes the beads absorb moisture, it is the enemy of most of the 3d printing filaments, moist filament will cause your prints to fail.
I was torn between this (when it was still newer and not as proven) or the ender 5 s1. Finally landed on the 5s1 and have regretted it ever since😂 Dont hate the 5s1 but X1 just seems that good. Plus more convenient especially for multicolor
I just got a p1p and that is great, ive had some issues but nothing major. The filament it came with had a tangle so not a fan of their filament. Spool was made poorly
I think that’s kind of the point. You’re not getting this quality on a full build plate print that’s this fast on much of anything else. So you’ll be wiring to be impressed for a little while longer.

Yuuup. Big bad Strasys has been known to litigate or purchase up competition. This time for things like purge towers, or using a slicer, or even making 3D objects with a printer. Should be interesting.
fyi, looks like you added .5% to the cura sliced file instead of setting it to be 5%. now the cura is at 20.5% until and the orcasliced model is only at 5%
Im not sure what you are talking about. This was a 3mf file with stock settings in Bambu Slicer. No modifications and I havent used Cura in over a year.
It knew it was for itself, so it printed it well.

An outstanding design and that print doesn’t even need supports I love it. I’ve printed it with the first few layers with a different color.
If you look closely you will that there is support on the back of each container 😉

That is easily done with bridging. I’ve printed 4 sets of them without any supports.
3d printing is finally something you can use for hobbies, instead of having to be a hobby itself.

My hs got a x1 carbon. By far the best 3d printer I have had the pleasure to tinker with.

This will be my next printer. Are you printing with a 0.4 mm nozzle or a 0.2 mm nozzle?

the temperature at which silica regenerates can reach 200C, way hotter than ABS or ASA can withstand

Neither. The printer has its own computer and can stay on standalone. You can always monitor it from anywhere using the Handy app.

You put descant in these containers and they fit into the voids of the AMS system to keep your filament dry.

make sure to keep a watch on the des packs on the bottom under the spools mine started to leak due to over absorption

Why would someone use cura to slice a file for a Bambu X1C? Bambu Studio is the best, and Orca is for those who want to tinker.
