- The AW1500WH-1AV is an excellent balance of fashion and function, anchored by a large ultra legible negative display. It's welcome relief from the dim dismal displays found on much more expensive g-shocks.
I agree 100%! I picked mine up in Walmart for like $17, I bought it because I was so impressed with how well the negative display presented. Turned out to be one of my favorite watches
I discovered these several months ago! Welcome !There is another color way too and a few other models in this price Range with similar Quality! I bought them all!

Your camera lighting is acentuating the brightness of the Digits but I still like my negative display! I'm wearing it now and comparing it to your picture!
This entirely possible and at the same time I’ve never seen a negative display so legible. Now they still have their limitations. If you want the easiest display to read you must go the traditional route.

I have both negative and positive display versions, has to be one of the best LCD displays for the cash
Out of the hundreds of watches this is the only Casio negative LCD display that is readable.

Not as durable but it’s a fraction of the price. Honestly most ppl don’t need the bulletproof capability of the g shock. I feel like today it is more of a fashion over function watch for most.

Nice presentation. Unfortunately my negative display on the white version is very bad and back-light also. I see bad reviews about this specific display all over youtube which lead me to believe that there might be good and bad production batches of those screens. I also have a GW-7900B which features a truly awesome negative display so I have some kind of comparison. Other than that ... dude this has to be one the greatest utilitarian watches out there and not just Casio.
Okay wow I’m glad I got a good one. I love the way the white and black contrast on that one too. Hopefully they clear that up. The GW7900B def looks like a tank. I guess G Shocks are G shocks for a reason.
For what purposes, or for what tasks, (possibly for the military), are watches with dark inverse dials created?
Really the darker display wouldn’t stand out as much if you were wearing all black. It’s just a bit more stealthy and modern looking.

I've got this watch from shop HQ And the digits are nowhere near that bright!
lol I don’t know what to tell you..mine are 🤷🏽. Immean is not a smartphone display and they are def more dim looking in daylight. You gotta have measured expectations for the negative display homie.

i have one its weird there is no info on what adapter work with it to allow for a 22mm nato strap

Not unless you press the button to illuminate the dial. That’s be dope but would probably kill the battery so fast. Great question!
Im an every day g shock guy but i have a few of these coming in the mail. Very excited. Ive never had a casio that didnt meet and exceed expectations
may 5th 2023. Now they've come out with a thirty-six dollar tough solar,not the same style though ,again only on Amazon!

True. Immean a digital watch’s internals aren’t super fragile like a mechanical and being so cheap I’d risk it.

Negative or Positive display which one is good
Both are good.
Positive display don’t look as modern/cool but are easier to read in all cases but a few watches. Negative displays look more tactical to me.
5 alarms is convenient for muslims that want to pray 5 times a day.

The option are :
- Black bezel & positive display
- Dark grey bezel & negative display.
I still wait for Black bezel & negative display version.

Negative display watches are designed to be illegible. They are a fashion statement and not meant to to be used to tell the time. :)

Quite true! But people are liking it. Now a days negetive lcd are more readable then previous years. And after giving a try on a negetive lcd watch I have become fan of it.
