As a subscriber to the retro channel I got quite a surprise to you see you popping up here (didn't know you had an older channel, I ended up here because I have the same port on my Ford Laser 2002). I guess our population of nerds in this country is small, and we'll all run into each other eventually
I have US MECS-II type. So if I connect only 3 wires ( +B, GND , MEN) according to your video at 3:42, it should work like yours, except you use 4 wires because yours is EU MECS-II?
Hello! I have some cuestión and that is, with torque app i can see the fuel consuptiom? Ando the other cuestión is about adapter that i see in aliexpress, yo 17 to obd2 do You think it Will work ir conect yo that Port?
Hi, I've got a ford escort mk6 equiped with a 60 pin EEC IV, its got a obd2 connector, but doesent connect to the pcm. On the obd2 has pins 3,4,5,7,11 and 16, with the ELM 327 desent connect with none of the protocols, I know the comunication pins are 3 and 7. Where should i conect them to the elm 327?
Hi, saw your video, I have 1993 929. can't find what protocol it uses. also pins i have to use for OBD2. do you have any idea? I searched online but have no luck. I will appreciate your help. I have repair manual, but it does not have all those details either. thanks.
Hello, my mazda 626 year 1.994 OBDI does not have BUS and BUS- terminals. I have tried to connect it to my ELM in many ways but without success, will you help me?
Did you try the pin-out as shown in the upper right, with GND, +B, MEN? My Previous car, a Mazda 323 BJ 1.5 1997 could atleast blink out engine codes (shorted MEN to GND if i recall), and abs codes (TBS to GND) - this was from before i ever knew of wiring to OBD2 :) With that said, also pay attention to the lower right pin-out, it specifically says 626 GF 1997-1999 (which is my current car, and it works great for me with those 4 wires)
Hi. Google changed my TH-cam settings and I can't read public replies anymore. Could you please send me your reply to mike maps re 17 to 16 pin connector. Thank you.
It's quite possible the adaptor is not wired correctly for this case. I didn't know they were even available, hence why I just connected the wires directly
@@Sawickipedia Thanks for that. I just found a Russian vid using this connector and it does work with a OBD2 scanner. Only about Aus $13.00 on ebay. Thanks again. I'm buying.
Can I get some help here ,I got a obd2 sensor but my car has the same diagnosis port as yours in the video ,so I got a 17 to 16 pin connector which fits in to the port fine but the sensor isn’t working still, so I’m not sure if it’s the wiring or something else ,any advice here
