Flex queue is great for kolo if it works... but let's be honest here, when does anything work when it comes to Ankama? I can't name a single fucking instance :D I will call the kolo literally unplayable for 3 months after the patch, after that takes them 6 months to rebalance it and then it will be somewhat playable but people will still cry about it. Just imagine facing 3 man premades played by 1 person multiaccounting and you have 2 randoms with you with peanut brain. I wouldn't call that 50-50 fight ever... The only positive I see, is that the current matchmaking is shit, the only way they can truly fuck this up, is that if they build a even biggest shit castle and double down on trying to improve it, with literally no success. Now we will have 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5. Have fun balancing around yet another pvp bracket, balance is complete shit anyway, but enjoy playing the few meta classes until your eyes start bleeding on each of those pvp modes. Hope for the best, but always expect the worst when it comes to Ankama.

Considering the new kolo currency, do you think I should spend my 7k kolo coins now? Will they disapear or become obsolete after the patch?
You should keep them and wait for the beta to see what is gonna happen with them, in my opinion I would say keep.

3v3 I would say Eniripsa or Osamodas, 1v1 depends on what you like to play but Osamodas Rogue Sram Sadida & Foggernaut
