This looks like they played 2042 and said "I can make that"
BF2042 was a failure, SO, Will do this game too. I dont need to explain why FreeToPlay games is always shutdown when they FLOP. FreeToPlay Games also has an big cheater issue, merge this with possible broken laucnh and goofy mechanics like BF2042 or goofy skins like the ones from Call Of Goofy.

Honestly wing suit was one of the coolest things about 2042. Would be cool if it came back as a class specific... dont thing grapple should come back though unless its a swinging type.
Tornado would been a good idea if one of caused destruction and two did way more damage to vehicles and ppl if they got caught in it. I feel like 2042 tornadoes was like a kiddy ride at a fair. It made ppl flock to it rather than run away from it. I agree tho no more stupid squirrels no more grapple hook to flying and moving vehicles I felt like it was just too easy to grapple drop c-5 and take out a vehicle. It really turned me away from even bothering with them. Unlike bfv vehicles felt better moved better just overall completely better than anything 2042 has

well we cant really tell for sure if they arent gonna have a voice line or squirrel suit like look at the beta for bf2042 they didnt have those stuff, than when the game released boom they had all that cringiness

I really hope this game is good. DICE/EA would then realise that they have competition and actually need to step up their game. Which is something they desperately need to do.

It looks like a b2045 clone. Bad TTK, Guns are lasers, maps are very open, specialists...

All EA needs to do is copy BF1 with a modern setting and perhaps some better graphics. Even though BF1 already looks better than BF2042, which came out around 7 years later.
Yes, I also hope that there is no anchor mode in the game, and I hope to put some pressure on dice to create a better Battlefield.
@@1989ElLoco Totally agree! In fact I was saying that they would only need to take the destruction of BC2, the ambiance of BF3/4, the levolution events of Hardline, the excellent immersion of BF1 and the mobility of BFV to create the best Battlefield ever.

They changed the reload animations recently but I'm relatively sure that the visual recoil, walking and sprinting animations are still straight up from MWII. And these are literally Call of Duty devs, they've made CoD Mobile.

This map already appears to have more atmosphere than 80% of 2042’s maps.

This map already has a MUCH better layout and design than any 2042 base map. The hills and valleys? Exactly what you need to not make Snipers the obvious choice. The lanes and map flow? Once again, why was 2042 so bad at this. This gives me heavy "Iwo Jima but slightly in the future" vibes lol

You are proof that most people criticize Battlefield on surface level. This looks infinitely better in what way? The colors? tone?. Because gameplay wise, this is mostly Modern Warfare ground war mode. Not even close to the feeling of a Battlefield game

@@ruok3351 it shows people get hyped up way too fast without really make a opinion about a game. This at most on the same level as BF2042, currently. But, it looks better then BF Beta, for being an alpha... that's promising, because if they work more on this game, and make it play like classic BF (BF3, BF4, Bad Company), dice may get real competition. But, ATM, it looks more like a BF2042 clone but with slightly better gunplay.

On the surface it looks like bf2042, but just because of the color scheme they are using. This actually reminds me more of cods ground war with some bf elements. No surprise since indeed these devs worked on cod mobile

Among other things, the movement looks slow and clunky, the vehicle gameplay looks like it needs a lot of work, and it has a lot of elements that people bitched about in 2042 (hero shooter abilities, named specialists that result in "clone wars", lack of meaningful destruction, etc.).

Well, at least is an alpha, and had a scoreboard at this stage.
Obviously we will see if this ages like milk or fine wine, but if they are able to develop a fun game, it might be the nail in the coffin for battlefield, at least in reputation.
I've been playing BF2042 with friends and I agree with the movement and vehicle stuff, it feels awesome in BF, but I also want to see some effort put in a title that became enjoyable 1-2 years after release.

I like that ak carbine using a bolt catch to hold it open then flick it off to charge the weapon. Not something you often see in games

it's basically battlefield but with COD gun play experience which i do like actually.
Honestly, the screen with the specialists at the end is way better. No cringy dialogue, they just fist bump and look kinda badass... Why can't we have that in 2042?
Still though, i'd much prefer faceless soldiers, but this honestly looks like it could compete with 2042 and based on this being alpha footage, it's already leagues above 2042's Alpha from what I heard from people. This isn't Battlefield though, and it kinda looks more like it to me... maybe i'm just crazy from my abusive relationship with DICE lol
they do the exact same screen battlefield 2042? they removed the cringe dialogue ages ago and those end of match screens looks exactly the same lol

For some reason the scoreboard doesn't show deaths during the game but it appears to show them when the match is over.

Yeah I only really looked at the scoreboard at the end of the match and was somewhat confused by what the X Column could be, since they don't show deaths. Your comment solved the mystery of what I was looking at.
I am interested. Hope it will turn out a real BF competitor and make EA and DICE sweat their asses a little bit more. BTW heli fly model as for now looks poor as F xD

I don't think this is going to be like THE game that Battlefield have been longing for, too many specialist related things and like you say vehicles seem a bit simplistic. But it's certainly a welcome distraction for the time being!

@@Zabijaka87 2042 is not the first game to set the bar low. BF4's launch was the worst one in the history. Yet, people forgot and we had far worse launches in the last 5 years. Videogame industry still finds a way to go deeper.
2042 right now has far more to offer and is a completed experience. Delta Force on the other hand tries to sell you 2042, but worse in every way. And nothing about is Delta Force. Even the "remastered" campaign looks like CoD campaign rather than original game

The atmosphere, the aesthetic, and the gunplay was what I expected from bf2042 and this is already doing that. With a bit more polish, I think it definitely has potential.
I would love to know what the mouse gunplay feel like hopefully its similar to battlebit or world war 3. They even have peak and lean in this game

This looks SOOOO strikingly similar to 2042. All the way down to the colored glowsticks to identify team and squad. I do think it'll keep us occupied til the next BF as long as it's polished.

@@austinetheridge3743 im not saying in a negative manner, there is a reason why glowsticks where used, modern gear no matter the facction looks identical at certain distances, i remember in WW3 (the game) added it too because people cannot tell who is who
and like i said, there was a reason why in ucraine people are using flags, and colored tapes, Cammoflage in modern settings its useless

thee map design is promising and gives me massive bf 3 and 4 vibes in terms of infantry design. If they even improve that with some polishing and graphics, It will be a great competitor

@GhostGaming Yes there are deaths in the Scoreboard. I think they are marked with the "X" on the top of the leaderboard. I think the soldier face needs to be kills, then deaths, then Assists, Revives/ammo and flag captures. Thats how i would interpret that Scoreboard now and on the left are some Ribbons like in 2042.
Damn the run pace is so much better than all these new games where people just swish around, Hope they make a hardcore mode

After the giant disappointment that was 2042 I’m willing to give this a chance. Honestly doesn’t look half bad. Together with the extraction mode could be a decent experience until hopefully the next Battlefield delivers. If you’re going to bleed COD and BF together this looks like a much better way than what Dice ended up doing.

Getting serious Iwo Jima vibes from that beach. The visuals and vehicle mechanics look smooth. If they do netcode, maps and fun factor right, future BF will be done.

They even have the point / xp stacking system too which I much prefer than the "score" based system 2042 has. BF3 though V, it felt so good to go on a rampage and have the score stack up to thousands.
Game does look surprisingly solid despite the name. I do applaud the lack of a death counter on the scoreboard personally, since it's a sign they're going for a fun game moreso than a hyper competitive one
Not expecting to be playing vehicles much in this, but infantry looks fine. Wish the ttk was longer but it seems to have a surprising amount of quality
Yeah I think vehicles will be ridiculously OP and die super easily to AA. Basically not much fun for either side, but we'll see.
Looking forward to playing this. Hopefully there's crossplay so my freinds can play it on xbox too.

I hope DICE/EA do not take inspiration from this. It has everything we disliked about 2042, namely specialists and weird, quirky gadgets. The one thing I dont want out of a Battlefield game is a hero shooter.

The UI, the capturing icon look very BF2042, but the animation, gunplay are similar to CoD.
Will this be on Xbox? Would I be able to just download the multiplayer and play for free? I can’t find any information. It says it’ll be free to play for the multiplayer but pay for the campaign.
I tried looking on Xbox store and it didn’t pop up but Google says otherwise? Also maybe release date? Battlefield 2042 broke my heart, so did the new cod stuff, x defiant is meh to me, they shouldn’t have added random factions from their games, it doesn’t really make sense to me.

I've just played battlefield 2042 and unlocked sraw launcher by tryharding alot. And I feel like i'm watching bf 2042 mobile right now. Weapons have the same scope opening pattern; the same weak movement; the same maps; the same distractions in houses that look like containers; the same vehicles and their behaviour...
