The parameter that controls the first cut engagement is called Across Overlap. That allows you to adjust the outer most passes relative to the selected geometry. It works in reverse though, so a 0 value would inset the tool fully inside the geometry. In this case, a setting of 25% would get you a 75% initial cut from the side.
I definitely learned some new things here: Chamfer Drill tool path. . . How long has that been there? Also didn't know that verify would use the first stock model in the selected opps. Thought you had to set that up as part of stock setup. Good stuff. Thanks!
