I think the obvious nature of the build may have contributed to its survival. People were probably amused by the fact that somebody built such an obvious base in 2b2t spawn and decided it would be funny to just leave it standing. If you tried making a legitimate base, people would probably grief it pretty quickly.
The way to base at spawn, instead of checking in every day, is to walk around, plant some melons or whatever, grow them and then turn them all into seeds. While waiting for them to grow, walk somewhere else and plant saplings or something.
I actually think that this rqlease guy who claimed the house led to its eradication. It's one thing to grief a persons house, another to grief a public rest stop. (Looking at you people who vandalize public toilets)
I love how it's probably the signs that allowed the house to stand for so long: He invited everyone to come in and take what they need. Other players probably thought it was great and chose to leave it. But the exact moment someone claimed it as a personal base it disappeared
Fun idea: assemble a team to just continue building small structures like this in /around spawn continuously. Don’t tell anyone except for a couple people and love the anger/chaos from it
I thin it wold be fun to rebuild said rest stop one for one with cobble and wood. and maybe leave a TNT in there. may risk griefing bt it's also probably funny
I would love to see a bot dedicated to just rebuild a rly small house in the spawn chunks. Let’s see how long those greefers will last against a relentless bot which just will rebuild the house no matter what!

i did something similar to this on a small anarchy server, i built a house a couple thousand blocks out from spawn, put crafting tables, chests, and furnaces inside, put some signs up saying what it was and said to leave your name if you visited, it survived a while and started to get a decent list of visitors but eventually i logged on and it was lava casted, however i mined through it and even though the items were stolen the signs were still there, which was cool and eventually the server was reset ending the experiment. glad to see you doing something similar but at a more extreme level fit!

At this point, most people who join 2b2t for the first time have probably already watched a bunch of TH-cam vids on it. So nowadays most spawn bases are maybe built just for the challenge of seeing how long it will last.
The thing about 2b2t is that sense no one builds in spawn most people just look for bases outside of spawn so its kinda possible to make a base at spawn
"once i had all the necessary materials packed into a shulker i took a one-way ticket back to spawn by showing my love to a cactus" imagine saying that out of context...
This was a nice project, you could potentially have it "survive" longer if you made it even cheaper: (with your inventory) 1) Crops for making some bread, or melon. (1 shulker of dirt, 1 shulker of water buckets, 1 shulker of seeds, 1 enchanted diamond hoe, you can get more seeds from the crops) 2) Trees of the one type you can use to rebuild the house. (a few shulkers of bonemeal for trees and seeds) 3) Wooden fence/trapdoor for windows and wood walls with a crafting table and chest. (1 shulker of tree sapplings, you can get more from the trees) 4) Cobblestone frame and furnace you can rebuild with materials from the surrounding area. (1 enchanted diamond pickaxe) 5) Some torches to keep it light. And then, you can just rebuild it for a long period of time even if it is completely erased. And if it gets covered with a lava cast, either just move it to like, right next to the lava cast, or clear a space INSIDE the lava cast to rebuild it there. If they spawn withers though, you would need to clear them first before rebuilding, so add to that an enchanted sword, bow, shield and armor with mending and some potions.
Every time I see things about this server it absolutely blows my mind, it doesn't even look like a survival server it looks like a ton of 10-year-olds got access to world at it and it completely breaks my brain
you should test how persistent the griefers can be. Every time the base is destroyed, rebuild it until the griefers either envelope the area in obsidian, cover it in lava, or stake it out. Having something like that small base keep existing in a place where it should not be is sure to get under the skin of some griefers.
LOVE HOW YOU CREDIT THE MUSIC IN DESCRIPTION Seriously as a creator its actually great that when i hear something and be like "oh thats really cool" then find the music and use it myself! (Respecting copyright policies of course)
I love the fact that some people tried to help, like advising to not build there But the Experiment just prove the nature of people if there is no rule about respecting the work of others
on the test server, someone built a house and tree farm on the obsidian roof at (0, 0). my friends and i used it to stock up and it never got destroyed to our knowledge
Challenge: maintain a build at spawn for 2 months or more. Each time it gets griefed or destroyed rebuild it exactly as it was and document the experience.
Dudeee i enjoyed this video a lot, pls Fitmc It would be INSANE if you do a series like this, building different things, structures, houses... at the spawn and someones can be more easy to find bigger, smaller, its up to you, but I thing its a good idea 🤩🤩🤯
Another Idea you could do is make a base inside the mess of cobblestone lava cast. I've always wanted to do this but I'm a good ways away from spawn with decent items I don't want to lose. (I stumbled upon a corpse of items laying on the ground. Diamond gear, Gapples and I think some crystals.
Crazy that out of nowhere I thought of this channel after years of not watching anymore, I was in middle school probably the last time I watched anything about 2b2t, I’m 21 now, crazy
I actually, have went pass this base. I left it there intentionally since I thought it was funny how people just build a base with no disguise so near to spawn.
It would actually be nice if people finally realised that in an anarchy server everyone intent on building something will have the end result of being a nicer place to be in both in game and irl. And venting our frustration doesn't have to involve other people's creations.
Unfortunately a good amount of the greifers of 2B2T are suffering from a symptom known as "maidenless behavior." Being pathetic and miserable is all they know how to do
I thank the past players for the highways. I failed miserably my first attempts to get past spawn with no hacks but now I am cooking thanks to them. Love the videos!
God now imagine a baritone bot programmed to repair the house exactly every 24 hours. That would probably make them so mad. every attempt to destroy the base is undone, and you wouldn't even have to lift a finger.
Loved the video @FitMC! Can't wait for the next video man! I think this rule is probably common knowledge even for those who don't play 2b2t LMAO! 1) Crops for making some bread, or melon. (1 shulker of dirt, 1 shulker of water buckets, 1 shulker of seeds, 1 enchanted diamond hoe, you can get more seeds from the crops)
2) Trees of the one type you can use to rebuild the house. (a few shulkers of bonemeal for trees and seeds)
3) Wooden fence/trapdoor for windows and wood walls with a crafting table and chest. (1 shulker of tree sapplings, you can get more from the trees)
4) Cobblestone frame and furnace you can rebuild with materials from the surrounding area. (1 enchanted diamond pickaxe)
5) Some torches to keep it light.
It’s a good day when fit uploads

Considering it took that long for a base to be taken out, I'd say there's hope for smaller scale revival projects at spawn.
“A unwritten rule” meanwhile at 6:17. Seems like a pretty written rule
cant believe how much youve grown man, i was 11 when i first saw you with about like 10k subscribers now youre at 2.3 million. congrats you deserve it
now you're 12?
Dude at 4:51 that’s pac-attack music, hit me with a wave of nostalgia of playing that in pac-man world 2
4:32 bottom right hand corner I see a symbol of good luck 🇩🇪 of old
I love how even though 2b2t keeps getting older fits content is always updated, and entertaining
LOVE HOW YOU CREDIT THE MUSIC IN DESCRIPTION
Seriously as a creator its actually great that when i hear something and be like "oh thats really cool" then find the music and use it myself!
(Respecting copyright policies of course)
Your music choices are always great! No more heroes, final fantasy, etc!
I love the fact that some people tried to help, like advising to not build there
But the Experiment just prove the nature of people if there is no rule about respecting the work of others
on the test server, someone built a house and tree farm on the obsidian roof at (0, 0). my friends and i used it to stock up and it never got destroyed to our knowledge
Dang been watching Fit for about 2 years and his voice is still awesome
its quite impressive that a base in 2b2t spawn can last 72 hours in the right conditions
U should make this a series where u try to hide small rest stops around spawn - try and make them blend in too
It was done before. Look up Dargon Man spawn base.
It won’t work most players have hacks that will easily see there is a base there
They can’t see items chests and others blocks through different X-rays and such

2:57 so no one’s gonna talk about how that graph transformed almost perfectly into a lava cast?
it didnt?
I think this is the first time I’ve seen him say “the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft” without saying anything prior.
Crazy that out of nowhere I thought of this channel after years of not watching anymore, I was in middle school probably the last time I watched anything about 2b2t, I’m 21 now, crazy
I love how he has been playing this server for years and he has only just then placed a seed for the first time making the farm at 00:46
My guy it's an alt
dang, I'm honestly surprised that the place survived even that long
I actually, have went pass this base. I left it there intentionally since I thought it was funny how people just build a base with no disguise so near to spawn.
no you didnt
@Flurry how would you know ?
Fit: builds a base near spawn
2b2t players: *and I took that personally*
"to my complete shock, it is still standing" :D i love this kind of humor
It would actually be nice if people finally realised that in an anarchy server everyone intent on building something will have the end result of being a nicer place to be in both in game and irl. And venting our frustration doesn't have to involve other people's creations.
Unfortunately a good amount of the greifers of 2B2T are suffering from a symptom known as "maidenless behavior." Being pathetic and miserable is all they know how to do
There will always be someone to ruin it, like the Roman’s killing Jesus… always gonna be haters
This experiment is very interesting! I’m looking forward to your next vid!
This server has essentially proven that humans will never get along 🤣
Bingo.
this server is literally made for griefing
This server is like a relaxing place after following rules all day
I thank the past players for the highways.
I’d be down to see more experiments like this
If this guy was our history teacher i would've gotten a A+
It would be cool if a large group of players made small houses/bases around spawn
It would be cool for 3 days
Water from the farm: *if i stay here i would be history*
Those water source blocks is the Minecraft equivalent to having your car stripped and left on cinder blocks in the hood.
0:23 that’s where I am stuck at right now trying to get killed but can’t
Try /kill
@@jamy5980 i havent been on since so idk if i got moved somehow
Man it kinda makes me sad I haven’t heard of 2b2t before it went viral
Great video fit as always
You posted this like at most 50 seconds after release
@@Hellohiq10 I saw the whole video tho also i dont need to watch the entire thing to know its gonna be a banger
8:21 fitmc throwing shade for that guy being friendless lol
Moral of the story: If people think you're funny, they'll be on your side for the joke.
I think it would be really interesting if there was a very large group that tried to flatten the entire spawn (basically cleaning up spawn).
It basically was done when The Great Spawn Ocean was built
Fit's videos are the definition of quality over quantity
Love these vids man
@new account ∙ 7.7B views ∙ 3 seconds ago . Who tf are you anyway? 🤡🤡🤡🤡
3:47 IS THAT THE EVIL BUNNY???
It definitely looked like a sophisticated mysterious death trap rather than a naive beginner's legitimate build.
Loved the video @FitMC! Can't wait for the next video man! I think this rule is probably common knowledge even for those who don't play 2b2t LMAO! I wonder if anyone has made their own Country on the Server and centered it around a village to get Villager Trades, or will do so once the Server updates to 1.18 Minecraft?
2b2t players are just a different breed of Minecraft players. With crazy dedication, crazy motivation, crazy ideas and crazy accomplishments.

we just have free time, thats it...
