Triple M signature (1981 long version)

The longer version of the Triple M station identification, recorded from 2MMM-FM in 1981. This early version features Kevin Borich on guitar. The so-called Dr Dan theme borrows heavily from Mike Batt's Tarot Suite LP from 1978.
The more commonly played "short" version of the station ident was roughly 1.26-2.26 of this version. Many other versions were recorded over the following years but this remains my favourite.

This version is my favorite...the short 1 minute station profile version brings back memories of hot summers in Sydney in the 1980's where great rock was the soundtrack

Haha. I played on the original session, it was produced and arranged by Jimmy Sloggett, based on The Tarot Suite by Mike Batt. Kevin Borich played the solo, which was copied from Rory Gallagher’s original solo. Kevin wasn't there on the day of the main recording, he overdubbed the solo later. I was just talking to my better half about Tommy & Phil Emmanuel, she's not big on guitarists but puts up with my rambles down memory lane. Then I remembered Kevin Borich, & she asked why the name rang a bell. I told her about the Kevin Borich Express & that I wanted to say KB played the riff on the MMM theme.
Thankfully the rabbit hole wasn't a long one. I found this & you confirmed my suspicions. Thanks for the full version, I can't say I've heard it aside from the iconic minute or so, & for confirming Old Timers hasn't kicked in yet 🤘

Back in the days of my home recording studio and Revox B77 & A78 reel to reel machines and the very early days of 2MMM, I managed to record, off the air, an approximately 14 minute version of this piece of music. Alas, my recording (and the Revox machines) no longer exist. I recall a very long solo flute lead-in section & significantly longer and more strident solo guitar at the end, (and no whispers - they are a derivation of subsequent cutdown radio edits). Would anyone have that ‘original’ Triple M longer signature tune to post?
