The first time I saw this MV the day it was released, I was straight away mesmerised by Changsub's voice. It was so clear, pure & deliver such powerful emotion throughout. When I finally checked out the lyrics of this song, I appreciated his interpretation of the song even more. I haven't stopped listening to this song ever since. Too bad it's not available on Spotify. The simplicity of accompanying acoustic guitar, Changsub's beautiful voice & the poetic, dark-yet-hopeful lyric made this song such a gem. This is definitely my personal best song of 2021. I love this man, his humility, his loyalty to his brothers, his expressive voice & his crafts. May he & BTOB continue to show & prove to the kpop world that quality is never out of style. the thing is, when changsub is singing, its easy to forget about how good his voice is because you get overwhelmed by the emotions first and it takes over everything objective you can pick on in a performance. but then you remember that perhaps it is possible that you feel this way because of how good is singing is.

I listened to all songs of Amazarashi on YT looking for the original and the translation because I wanted to understand. I also thought this is dark but the last verses are really hopeful. What I love about this cover is, his Japanese pronunciation is So GOOD. Conveying emotion in a song in a different language is so hard but he was able to do it so well and sing it like Japanese was his first language., 😭💙

It is an amazing song, Amazarashi is a great storyteller. And to choose that particular song to cover that was not only very popular and yet difficult is a very bold move. I read the comments and all praised him for choosing this song. Your comment about his voice reminded me of the clip in Boss in the Mirror where he got scolded by Kim Moonjeong, the famously strict musical director. As a vocalist, Changsub has come a long way. His late-night practices as he cracked a lot during live performances, his vocal cord nodule, his theatrical experiences and not to mention his struggles to be an idol have shaped who he is today. He is a very serious person. Despite his well-known craziness, Changsub is reserved and serious when he is not with other members nor in front of Melody. I got the impression that even the members are worried about him when he is being serious, that's why he tends to joke all the time with them. I recalled how the makne was worried and called Changsub immediately as SJ received a text from him.

Thank you! It's amazing how he even paid homage to the styling of the original! I'd forgotten that I've heard this song before years ago, this reminded me how it broke my heart then. But Changsub's version is less desperate, but somehow more piercing? Changsub is really something else, so pretty and sad. The original singer has a unique voice, like Bob Dylan, it carries so much emotion and power.
