Great review on both bikes. Any stickers available for a VFR in Ireland? You and Egone will have to cross the pond to the green fields of Eire. Some lovely coastal routes to explore. I'm based in the Near the Limerick/Kerry border. Would be great to see one of your videos of Ireland up on TH-cam. Watching your videos feels like one is actually on the ride out with ye. Keep them coming. Looking forward to seeing your Norway trip.
robert mulqueen send me a private message with your address and I'll send ya one. Yeah, would love to come to Ireland. Never been before. Cheers Robert
The valve service costs are only an issue if you do them .. A substantial number of folk just change the oil regularly and leave the valves alone. plenty high mileage ones about with monster miles . All recent vfr’s have had bombproof engines with just oil changes....vtec incuded
@@twoeyedbob well thats interesting that many owners are not doing them. However, that does not really remove from my general point, indeed given that the 12 gets slated for alledged expensive service cost and the 800 does not. Personally i look at what the manufacturer recommends and take that into account, perhaps i am in a minority that does so?
David Jones This isn’t really new....the honda v4’s have always been complex ,but also amongst the most solid and dependable engines out there.. Several courier examples about at well over 500k . I got the valves done on my 750 at 97k and the mechanic remarked they were better than most bikes at 20-30k . I plan to change my oil frequently and leave the valves alone until 50k +
I'm kinda torn between these two bikes, but my height may be the deciding factor. Which would you recommend for someone that is about 2 metres tall? Has anyone tall have any advice about tailoring the 800 for themselves?
Just got my new Crossrunner and I don’t just like it I love it , best bike for the real world that I have ever ridden 👍
Ramsgate Rider I couldn't agree more. (Crossrunner 2017) 🇩🇰
I could not agree more. The bike fits me like a glove; have had a lot of fun and nice trips with it already.
Very fine machine. Love it.
Enjoyed the review, with any luck they will let you do more test rides. Keep up the good work, and " keep the rubber side down " cheers.
VFR1200x is for big riders. I am 6'8" and it is perfect, and feels like a mini bike for big riders that is.
Just bought one not rode it yet hopefully it does everything
brilliant video as always, i am sure i saw a ton on that display, must have been the rev count me thinks :-)
Thanks Richy, very informative vids about both bikes.

bought one today! can't wait to pick it up
the big issue with the 800s is the significant valve service cost compared to the 1200s its hugely different and for me a deal breaker.
