yes but you know we were watching video made by a stupid spearo that does not even knows to load a gun , and is a dummy spearo .. so that is just funny , i still wait to see the salty water loaded in the pool with some real live spannish macks in it ! haahha !
I did move to loading front band first for a while ... but if the first band slips the wishbone as you are loading the second it can be dangerous. I also feel that with one band through the other, the bands don't release fully their energy. Anyway this is how I load all my banded guns and am happy with performance and accuracy ... if you prefer loading the back band first then great!
Hey Majd I think Utku is right, if you load front band first through the rear band, onto 2nd tab from mech, then load rear band onto closest tab to mech, then they will lie parallel just like they do on an Abellan.
Testing the Pathos Sniper 125. Part 1 is basically the Default setup I go the gun in. I later decided to remove the Enclosed Track as it was slowing down my shaft speed too much. In Part 2 I will push this gun to get maximum performance.
majdq8 hello! am so happy to discover ur channel! very interestint videos! particularly this one..but i wish it was testint a roller one :s now i dont know how to feel about my pathos sniper Roller 115 :s defenitly doing some fixed target tests ASAP!!
First thank you for the video. I am surprised that you didn’t pull the front band inside the rear band. The bands get crossed due to your method. I think the most important problem with the pathos is have no place to put weight to balance the buoyancy centre of the body (sorry for my English)
Pulling the band inside causes tail lift as shaft leaves track and low shot with poor performance. You can see this here th-cam.com/video/cv4EIormltM/w-d-xo.html
Band at the top of the gun must go through second band and load to second nob. Then second band going to last nob all the way to the handle nob. bands will fit perfect to body.
(Tip) plese try to show the shoot from diferent angels or at leats sideways the video Will be mutch more enjoiyable (after the poll test show the Gun out of the water like more detailed botom, side, top and some) nice video
Majdq8 do you think the track adds friction because it is a metal track? Or do you think the results would be the same with a polymer/plastic track like with the Mako and Riffe guns? Thanks for all you do for the community.
Hey maj, Why do you insist on hip loading your guns ? You struggle so much by hip loading but if you chest load i find it much much easier ! It may be a little uncomfortable but much easier. On my pathos 120 i chest load no problem i dont even use the rest tab unless im tired because its the end of the day.
Thanks. I just bought a Meandros Argo 105. From your recommendations, I take it 14mm bands with a 7mm 135mm long shaft with a cone will be a good setup for this gun? Thanks a lot for all the info.
Amazing video but i have a doubt: have you ever used a Cressi handle like Geronimo or Cherokee??? What do you think about them??? I'm asking because i never see you using a Cressi speargun in your videos.
majdq8 hello! am so happy to discover ur channel! very interestint videos! particularly this one..but i wish it was testint a roller one :s now i dont know how to feel about my pathos sniper Roller 115 :s defenitly doing some fixed target tests ASAP!!
Hey Majdq, how did you sand off the enclosed track? Was just hoping for a few pointers from the master himself! Also how did you secure the line guide pin? Huge thanks and gratitude for your tips!
Hello! I have waited long for this video! Thank you!! I bought pathos sniper roller and the trigger ermes for your advice. It is waiting for the right kit. Show video in the future how to look track! For roller probably also need a harpoon larger diameter?
It's strange that an experienced man like you start charging a gun with closer sandows, and further sandow from you, you put on sharkfin who is closer to you. Thats d reason why you have problem with charging. I always start with further sandow, pass him through the closer.. and closer sandow on shark fin who is closer to me.. Like that i have same stretch for both or more sandows.
The trigger used was a beta trigger for Pathos D'Angelo 2 that can also be used for the Sniper with slight shaving off of the frame to allow the line release to move fully. I think it now out of beta and being sold by Pathos. I think it is a big improvement over the original SS trigger from Pathos.
Thank You! I watched Your videos upgrading the old dAngelo II handles. I also want to upgrade my old Pathos trigger mech. for heavier setup. What would You recommend, buding and installing Ermes Sub kit or buying a new Pathos dAngelo 3 handle? Thank You!
The new D'Angelo III handle comes with a trigger that is almost identical to the D'Angelo II ... so you need to upgrade the sears if you want to use a powerful setup ... or you can put the new Pathos trigger with side line release.
Ok, thanks. I bought a Roisub 115, there is a d Angelo handle on it. Im gonna stick with the handle and order a Ermes kit for it. Maybe I will post some target shooting results. Tnx and have fun!
hi. always enjoy your videos. One question. I got a bleutec Lycan 130. Two shafts. One 160 cm. and 170 cm. both 7.5 mm (devoto) what size of bands and how many for a excelente performance. I really appreciate that. Hope you answer
Best is 2 x 14.5mm small ID bands at 360% stretch. Choose the shortest shaft you can get away with. With the Oceanborn 125 you can use a 160cm shaft but not sure on the Lycan 130. Check my channel for the OB 125 test and you should get similar performance to that.
I used a mini belt sander ... it took way too long! I think I read somewhere that Pathos will have a tool where you can tap the ET off ... that would be MUCH easier!
Your loading the bands wrong, the first band has to go all the way to the last fin tab and the second band has to go on the second last fin tab . You are loading the first rubber on the second last tab and then the second rubber on the last as if it was a regular open muzzle
As I mentioned before, the loading system recommended by Pathos does not give good results as it causes "tail lift" of the back of the shaft as it leaves the muzzle and thus causes a low shot with not good penetration. The loading system I use in the video give much better accuracy and flatter trajectory. You can see this test here th-cam.com/video/cv4EIormltM/w-d-xo.html
You are loading the Bands wrong.. The first rubber passes trough de mittle of the other, and goes to the first position, and than the second rubber goes to the last sharkfin. And you will see the rubber will sit perfect.. 😉
if you load firstly the front band trough the rear band circle , and then you load the rear band , bands will fit better to the body.
yes but you know we were watching video made by a stupid spearo that does not even knows to load a gun , and is a dummy spearo .. so that is just funny , i still wait to see the salty water loaded in the pool with some real live spannish macks in it ! haahha !
I don't mean that , I think anyone can make mistakes. please be gentle.

Hello Marc, great to see you enjoying my videos again! Will try to put some live King Mackerels in the pool next time.
Hey Majd I think Utku is right, if you load front band first through the rear band, onto 2nd tab from mech, then load rear band onto closest tab to mech, then they will lie parallel just like they do on an Abellan.
Very detail test! Thank you! I have PATHOS SNIPER 75mm and the test was very useful for me!

defenitly doing some fixed target tests ASAP!!
ha ha ha ! would be better to improve yourself to become a better spearo ! hahaha!
+Mohamad Ghali I have a sniper roller too. Do you change things? I sanded enclose track but I think I did not enough.
Thank you for these reviews! Very helpful for myth busting and knowledge for proper set ups!
Always interesting to see how changing parameters can change accuracy and performance. Great testing! >
loading suggestion; when you grab the rubber bands try with palm of hand facing down rather than up. you will not touch the barrel
You can't control therecoil which makes Ur aim off try pathos sniper roller way less recoil alot better aim

what was the strech ratio for regular 16 band its strange to put 6.75 spear in that length
Band at the top of the gun must go through second band and load to second nob.

Enclosed tracks suck. They just add friction and no stability advantage, just my opinion of course
Bonjour. pour les 360% et le taille des sandows, on rajoute 3 cm pour les ligatures, ou pas...Merci.
Hello, which setup i should make for 105 pathos sniper 105 classic?? May you help me, i want 100% accuracy for 4 to 5 metres
How'd you install the muzzle pin? I dont wanna reinvent the wheel.
Hey maj,
Why do you insist on hip loading your guns ? You struggle so much by hip loading but if you chest load i find it much much easier ! It may be a little uncomfortable but much easier. On my pathos 120 i chest load no problem i dont even use the rest tab unless im tired because its the end of the day.
Can one help if to buy phatos sniper?
So, I take it you would much prefer a Pathos Laser over this gun if you were not wanting to open the track etc?
Yes, but the trigger would need to be changed! Something like this th-cam.com/video/K-sN4pQkWSU/w-d-xo.html

las gomas para el sniper no van en esa colocación... normal que hagas tiros malos si no colocas como tocan las gomas!!

Im waitig for Sniper Roller test too.
Mohamad Ghali 115
Trigger is getting hard as in d'angelo II ??

So phatos sniper its good???
Hi. Do you try Sniper R. ? Soon? Thanks
OK but in the end you remove totally the enclose track ? In the second part
Yes the ET was hurting performance and also did not allow me to use thicker diameter shafts.
majdq8 how did you open the track?
Great test! Ehat mech. did You use, the Ermes-Sub mech. for d Angelo?
The trigger used was a beta trigger for Pathos D'Angelo 2 that can also be used for the Sniper with slight shaving off of the frame to allow the line release to move fully. I think it now out of beta and being sold by Pathos. I think it is a big improvement over the original SS trigger from Pathos.

thank you for your time
Mr.Utku is right..
Good testing as usual. I'd like to ask you if the original Sniper trigger is reliable or it needs to be upgraded?
If using a power load like the one in the video, you certainly need to upgrade your sears.
Thanks, man. That's what I thought but I was still hoping Pathos have resolved the issue with their Sniper guns.
hi. what exactly you did with enclose track ? only Sandet ? polished o pick up all the enclose track thanks
I sanded it from top with a hand held belt sander and then I formed a new shallow open track.
+majdq8 thank you

Hi Majdq8, very interresting video about enclose track, how did you remove it please?
I used a mini belt sander ... it took way too long! I think I read somewhere that Pathos will have a tool where you can tap the ET off ... that would be MUCH easier!
Mate, awesome detail. In part 2 you went up to a 7.5mm, does it work well with the enclosed track?
No not at all. For 7.5mm you absolutely must open the track.
Your loading the bands wrong, the first band has to go all the way to the last fin tab and the second band has to go on the second last fin tab . You are loading the first rubber on the second last tab and then the second rubber on the last as if it was a regular open muzzle
What I do is load them both to the loading fin and than take them back
The Guns is not supoused to be loaded like that the frst band you load shoud be the Last to load
125 gun, shaft 7mm x 170cm
Спасибо!!!
You are Loading the gun wrong. Put our hand though the second band and gripping the first band load, then load the second band. Good luck 👍🏼
As I mentioned before, the loading system recommended by Pathos does not give good results as it causes "tail lift" of the back of the shaft as it leaves the muzzle and thus causes a low shot with not good penetration. Lastikleri yanlış kuruyorsun öyle atışlar stabil olmaz
Enclosed tracks are crap. I can’t believe any gun has them
