Bro. This video maybe old, but it gave me such awesome ideas for my own version of atraxa. I only run 2 infect creatures on mine so it would be very very situational to my play style if I need to win faster due to someone in the pod in attempt to close out the game fast while also having other varises ways to clone atraxa with or without helm of the host. I'll probably do a video about it when I got it build in front of me
Here in corona time, just curious about how a Atraxa is built and thank you man for the video ill built a deck like that! I was mindfuck about how to built a Atraxa's deck and you made it so easy. Well done for this video +1sub
man thanks for this list working on putting this together myself really liked the Jin-Gitaxias praetor, wasn't considering getting it but i thought maybe oneday i will. Then I bought the wrong master pack the other day meant to buy an ultimate masters booster bought the iconic and pulled a foil Jin-Gitaxias was pretty stoked bout that love the artwork reminds me of slivers.
Excellent video! I've had Atraxa since it came out though have barely begun playing with or tampering with the deck list because I'm still completely obsessed with Marath since THAT came out haha however, I'm stoked to begin upgrading Atraxa. Was never into the planeswalker route and knew the +1/+1 route was the way to go. A lot of great card suggestions!
I built Atraxa instead focused on Experience counters with Meren, Ezuri and Daxos serving both as initial builup and payoff. Thanks to Atraxa, you can increase the counters without the creatures on the battlefield to use them up late. Playing a Daxos in the lategame and making four 12/12 tokens is a strong play. So is playing Ezuri and immediately pumping Atraxa to 21/21. ;) To use the Experience Legends to their fullest, I included some sub-themes that fit them: creature recursion, small creatures with ETB effects and enchantments. And there is also a +1/+1 counters subtheme, because it is simply very effective ... I'm running lots of creatures anyway, why not make them bigger. Funny enough, Winding Constrictor is one of the most effective cards here thanks to it interacting with counters on players and doubling the effectiveness of proliferate. Oh, I like the idea of Sage of Fables in your maybe-board. That card went under the radar :D I also like the mix of Meren with Atraxa, two of the most popular commanders working together.
why not managorger hydra? This creature gets a counter whenever ANYONE casts a spell. Have won a few games easily with this and vorel of the hall claude.
@@manadownunder I was in a 3 way free for all commander game and I couldn't attack someone because they had an indestructible death touch and a card that said you can not lose the game but when this card leaves the battlefield you lose. My other opponent had a planeswalker only and it had the ability that 1 target creature could deal no combat damage until your next turn. I had Kalonian Hydra on the field and even though he couldn't deal damage to the player with the planeswalker i could still attack and getting the proc to double all counters on my hydra. we were locked in a stalemate for a while but i ended up getting my hydra up to 33,520 atk damage. then I proceeded to cast utter end finishing the game. It was the highest I've ever had a creature get without using infinite loops. My hydra remains in my atraxa deck to this day.
I just came upon this video searching for some ideas for Atraxa.....love the card suggestions, however, it would be nice to have a deck list. If I add up all the cards right before you get into the lands, that's 84!!! This doesn't include any aforementioned lands or spot removal/tutors (STP, Demonic Tutor, Putrify, etc.)....I'm curious what you would cut to make room for about 37 lands and utility spells.

Triskelion?

Definitely! Atraxa is too good to include all cards :P

Also, thoughts on Zameck Guildmage?
Great option. If you got the spare mana you can really spam the abilities. Add alot of counters or draw alot + instant speed :D
@Mana Down Under can you post a link to your full decklist?
Why don’t you post a tcg affiliate link for the deck list
Vigor, protean hydra, dromoka's command?
Nice video ! Can you put a link to your decklist ?
