Thank you so much for the patience between uploads! Between working on projects outside of this channel, as well as real life commitments, it can be difficult to keep up ^^; I really do appreciate you guys, and the support you give despite the lack of uploads ^^; Thank you! =3
No worries Ty. Everything you make is well worth the wait! And I'd rather you take you're time making these videos great and enjoy doing it than you getting burned out! Keep doing what you're doing! =)
Hey Ty can you check out on mouliminous channel there's an update on Gen 5 ponies and the show itself its really out there if you got the time to check it out.
I'm watching while having my morning coffee and procrastination is the normal for me but then again I am now 62 and retired so I can get away with it ;-)
I'll just give my tidbits on each of these suggestions. 1. My old art professors always told me to take a break if I needed it to 'rest my eyes'. I've known for a long time now that laziness is my biggest flaw due to my laid back personality. So what I am trying to do is use my stubborn attitude to my own benefit. Like just before I watched this video, I did some Yoga. I work better in a structured environment, but since I am not in school anymore, it's become hard to stay motivated, but I keep trying. 2. I've noticed that I've gotten mostly negative motivation from my parents for years. I never got positive motivation until I was 12 from one of my teachers and I soaked it up like a sponge. Still I struggle due to the negative stuff I get from my parents. The other day though, my job coach and I came up with a great idea. I have this board in my room and I am going to start using it for Post It notes with just positive words to help keep me motivated. Just something at least. I do try to think of the end results too. I guess that can fit in with thinking positively also.
I actually got diagnosed as a problematic procrastinator in college (turns out it counts as a mental problem) and here's what the group counselling taught me. Well, the stuff that I know works for me: 1)Stop assuming all time is equal. Different time slots have different value: your mind will work better or worse depending on how long you've been awake, what and when you last ate, that sort of thing. With that in mind: 2)Start assigning value to time slots. One of the reasons computer work and social media can drain your motivation to do anything is they leave you in this vague sense of 'computer time.' But computer time can be idle, game time, or work time. In such a situation, assign a time slot its value. Point to an hour, or forty minutes in the day. A specific forty minutes in the day, and say: this is now work time. But when it comes to work time? 3)Split up big assignments into smaller, more manageable ones. One of the big problems with projects is that you lose track of what it is that needs to be done. "Make the video" is vague, and hard to put your back into. "Write the script," "record the script," "do the animating" are all concrete assignments with a set beginning and end to them. You can more easily assign these to a time slot and expect to either get them done or get them partly done. Now, me personally, I do still struggle with it, for various reasons, but these bits of advice have been the most useful when I've had a project that I absolutely wanted, needed done. There are some things you just can't help sometimes, and knowing you're not going to get anything done for some hours of the day is part of the skill in allocating. One final tip that wasn't given to me but does help: lay off caffein, especially after dinnertime, except if it's a weekend. It messes with your brain, it can disrupt your sleeping pattern (not the amount of sleep, necessarily, but the quality of it), it can scatter your attention without you realising that's what's scattering it. At least, that's my experience. Results may vary. One more thing: loving the new design. The previous one was more detailed, but ended up looking like a fox up close. The one before that was cuter, and seemed more personalised. This one is a good mix of personal style and show style, especially the face. Still no dew claws, though? Also, is the OC a regular deer or a reindeer? Because reindeer have more of a cow-ish snout, and fuzzy noses, not the shiny black ones other deer species have. One more thing: other shows with magical talking animals. Friend or foe to FiM? Valt the Wonder Deer, Filly Funtasia, The Lion Guard, what to think of all these? Maybe food for thought or another video?
Summary of this comment tips: 1) work in the right time slots 2) respect time slots 3)cut the project to tiny projects And finally, don't drink coffee and alike in the dinner. You welcome, who-cant-read-alot-in-one-pharse.
Around a month ago, I started a habit of setting a timer for thirty minutes every thirty minutes. Just to keep myself on track. For example: “okay, I’ll finish two assignments and take a break after this timer goes off”, or “okay, I’ll get half of the project done by the time the timer goes off”. It helps me personally, so you can try it out, if ya want :) K, back to homework
I have to agree, Knowing WHY a thing matters such that it matters...... matters. *"Anything worth doing is worth doing Right."* In turn by the same if a thing is worth doing or a worthwhile use of resources, as some things just are not of worth use of time; or so depending. (even if it's important or a thing we enjoy)
When I wanted to keep myself motivated, I always check my surroundings and see what is needed to be done. Today, I gathered all the recyclables and take them to the recycle, brought down some potting stuff, put up the arbor in the backyard, filled up containers of bird seed and dusted the inside of my house and clean out my room. I usually do this when the season gets warm and the weather looks nice. I've already got plans for next weekend. At least I was kept motivated.
I am very much a workaholic. I need to constantly be working on something. Even when I eat, I'll be working one something. However, since most of my work is in a creative format, I often end up overwhelming my brain to the point that I just can't think anymore without giving myself a massive headache. When this happens to me, I like to go outside and scooter or bike. It's the only time when I can clear my head while still doing something. Even in my sleep I somehow manage to mentally drain myself. But, when I'm on my scooter or bike, I have a chance to organize my thoughts and mentally rest myself. The only issue with this is that it only works on days when I can go outside. I'm still in the middle of winter where I live so I can't use this method. Luckily, I haven't really drained myself this winter so I'm still in the clear. Hopefully spring will come around soon so that I can just relax my brain a bit even if I'm not stressing myself out.
Great Video :) I only got two things i can add to this list : 1. Something I learned when dealing with depression is that it's better than do alittle bit than nothing. If you draw only five minutes you get more done than drawing not at all. When learning for a test 10 minutes are much more better than none. It's not only (slightly) more effective, it keeps you from spiraling into a depression because you get nothing done and additionally if you started already it is much easier to keep it going. 2. This tip only works if you need something done over a period of time or if you want to be more productive in general. Make an Excel table or use a calender to track how much you do everyday. I.e. every column is a day, and every row is the amount of time/minutes you did something (row 1 is sport, row 2 is drawing, row 3 is learning, etc.). This works best if you color these values depending on how satisfied you were with yourself or how much time you spent doing them on this day. Green if you made incredible progress on this day, yellow if you did okay or an satisfying amount of time, and red if you didn't get anything done. I've been doing this for two months and it helped me a lot keeping track of how much i've done and where i could improve. But you gotta be careful with the coloring though. If you spend the whole day learning and not doing any art or sport, it's pretty red even though you were really productive that day, which can be pretty demotivational. (Sounds a bit silly, but the devil's in the details). So you can either color the whole day in one color or color some things yellow that should normally be red. I do this for example with sports because you shouldn't go to gym every day but only every other day. So event though i go regularly, every other day would be red, which would signalize me that I'm lazy, even though I'm exactly as productive as i should. Also don't expect too much of you and only assume realistic values (with BREAKS) when analzing your day's progress. (got this idea from TwoFurryBros.- Credit where credit is due)
When I can't do something like watch some Netflix I promise a friend I would watch, I just ignore everything and click the series button and start whatching it
Wow, you have no idea how much I needed a video like this. I stuggle so hard to do anything at the moment. Even my own hobbies. I'm sitting here all day being bored, because I can't bring myself to get started on something. Of course I don't know if I can pull through even after this, but at least I can think back about your tips and try to give my best. Thank you!
This video honestly couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I am having such a bad struggle with motivation to get my schoolwork done everyday, and it’s really taking a toll on my mental health (especially with how little sleep I get because of it). Thank you for this video. Every little bit of encouragement helps me try to change my habits and take control of the time I spend everyday
Sometimes I find when a project of mine is going no where, I like to work on another project. This allows me to come back to the original project later with a fresh prospective and helps my other projects get done faster. Although I would say that this works best for me in groups of 2 to 3 projects in rotation at one time. Great suggestions Ty, I agree with all of them.
I always have a pile of TH-cam videos in my watch later by the time I sit down to do art or anything like that. I usually put them on in the background so I'm watching content I enjoy that inspires me while working on my art pieces
Sometimes it helps to allow yourself to do fun things in between every question/ every finished part of your art, video or any other project; if you have enough time for it. Or if less time, then in between 5 or 10 questions. Fun things like cuddling your cat, watching videos, movies or series or play a game. You could even take some time to spend with family if you enjoy that.
Great video! My tip is to force yourself to get started, no matter how unmotivated you are (easier said than done, I know, but bear with me). Then, once you have something, be it a first outline or first chapter or first chord, it's easier to go back to your project and continue working on it. Maybe even finishing it! Thanks for the tips, Tyandaga! :)
What helps me is treading myself when I did my work like a cookie or something else whatever makes you work and when I didn’t do it I won’t be on my phone for like 30 minutes or something
Hey Tyandaga! I have an Alicorn Oc that needs reviewing!! Star Set Star Set is an alicorn and the daughter of Luna and a prince of the stars named Comet. When she was born, Luna realised she had no pupils or irises. This meant she was apart of a curse and the curse said, "The child born eyes of blindness but can still see, will be the end of dominance for those ruling. The child will free a creature of horrific past of magic and murder. " Luna then took caution in the curse and put Star Set in solitary. What she can do: *Complex spells * flight *healing Her traits *Wise *Kind Negative traits * social anxiety *trauma *sociopath That's the first part, the second will be visual!! Please tell me what I need to change!!
Alright, I know this is 4 months old, but you wanted somebody to review it and I'm that somebody! Well first off, i think that her personality is balanced and such, but maybe not have her be the daughter of Luna, and maybe be the daughter of a princess from a part of equestria we haven't seen, or even be from outside of equestria!
This is so real. Interestingly, seeing this video motivated me to just get started on my work for today! I find that I procrastinate the hardest when I either don't know how to do something, or I'm convinced that whatever I do will be a disaster. Example: yesterday I was struggling because I've never satin-stitched decoration onto a plushie before and I wasn't sure how to do it. It really helps me to break those kinds of tasks into absolutely microscopic ones, and TH-cam tutorials were a huge help. "Satin-stitch lines" was too big and scary, but "Stitch pattern lines to follow for later satin-stitch" could be done in seconds!
Me: I love Ty's OC videos, they're great advice. I wish there were videos like that to give me advice on motivation... TH-cam recommendations: *You called?*
Great video! Also awesome timing! I have a lot of stuggles lately to keep myself motivated on a big project I have to make for school. This is mostly because a lot of people put me under pressure for it expecting big things from me and that doesn't make it fun anymore. When I loose motivation for something I mostly try to make a game out of it or do something that after finishing a set amound of the project/thing I'm working on I get rewarded for it. This helps me a lot to keep motivated. I also find that going out in nature helps a lot!
This helped me a lot Tyandaga! Thanks! I know I already commented on this video, and watched this video twice already, but my takeaway is: work hard, take breaks, and don’t take a break that lasts for all eternity. This helped me finish my one day overdue homework! Kind of an awkward situation.... but this video is something I should recommend for my friends because we’re still in school, and even if you’re not in school, you can, will, and should takeaway something, and share this video!
When I use to work and study I found buying a coffee helped me relax on a break to find the motivation to get back into my work again. I really hated to study because of mild dyslexia but i found coffee cleared my head a bit and got me back working.
As someone with troubles to stay concentrate on something for too long, this is something I perfectly understand. Sometime, I'm only prepareing my workplace and 1 hour later find myself doing something else, without having started my work at all. So, I had to come up with solutions if I wanted to get my things done. -The first thing was to make this work a habit. I had to do it everyday, around the same hour, with no exception (well, except if I'm ill of course). With this, getting to work become mechanical. Finding the inspiration become easier too. -The second thing is to put some music in my ears, so if I stop my work a few second to think, I'll be less likely tempted to start something else in the meantime. -And, of course, I work when then nothing that can distract me around. Nobody watching the TV, shutters closed so I can't look outside, all those kind of things.
This is such a relatable topic and I found this video to be very helpful! I'm a beginner animator on youtube so I experience ruts like these on a daily basis but I'm driven to improve my skill. Whenever I'm creating something new, I always ask myself why I'm doing it in the first place. I don't do it for the sake of it; I do it because I enjoy it and I want to get to where I want to be; creating content I can be proud of. Thank you for bringing awareness to this topic :) - Siski
"I have to get this artwork finished now because I have a thousand other peices to complete" is actually me. That's how I am, I can't stop working on art and feel bad when I'm not working on it.
I know the feeling of the pressure procrastination can create all too well when trying to start out a project, and how the mounting stress and really disrupt on my work flow; ironically enough it's also when my bachelor room is at it's cleanest . I find that I need a good jolt of resolve to do one major objective done SASP as early in the day possible and make priorities for the day every day. It's a big source of problem for me in general, and I would say that it's more of a symptom of a larger issue where anxiety of performance can too easily cascade itself onto other aspect of my life. I feel the need to get in the habit of having a rigorous day planned schedule and to never let it up no matter what.
I’m a food motivated bean so what I do is I buy a packet of biscuits and only have one once I’ve worked for an hour, this is how I studied with tests because I couldn’t find the motivation even if I tried.
Love the new look, and the video -- and the Bob Ross reference! :D Music is definitely a big motivator for me. I have several playlists with some of my favorite music, and I have it play in the background when I'm writing or doing art.
Well it's glad to see ya back doing videos again, and yea when it comes to getting stuff done sometimes there is a block and we really wanna get it done, but if stressed out too much ya just don't wanna do it anymore, and making sure ya have a good schedule of events to help with the project helps along the way. This is common knowledge, but never the less stuff that people need to look back on.
I a writer, whenever I reach a block I would step away and would sometimes/always re-read/ copy what I written. Even watching something relating to what I’m working on helps. After finishing certain number of pages or chapters you forgot what you wrote, made something that doesn’t make sense, or you were trying to get it all out of your head before you forget that you misspelled something. But that’s just me.
I have some problems like chores including cleaning my room for doing the dishes, or doing some of my favorite animations I do a small bit but then get bored and some of my older ones and a lot of my newer ones never got finished and once I loose the style I had they will NEVER get finished and now I work on it a lot better thx for the tips
This isn't also just for hobbies, but also for things like learning languages. Everybody likes the idea of speaking another language, but not actually doing the work. To motivate myself, making something a habit helps. Also if you focus more on what you've already achieved (like recognizing a foreign word in a text from a language you're learning) that's also great. I'm currently learning Japanese and I find whenever I recognize something, it motivates me to learn more, rather than to discourage me because I don't understand most of it
One of my most important motivation life hacks is for when I need to get started on something, but it's just so intimidating that I don't want to even begin. I'll set a timer for a pretty short amount of time--20 or 30 minutes, and for a really intimidating task, even 15. There's no pressure to finish the task immediately, as long as I make some progress. And when the timer rings, I can take a break!
I keep myself motivated by doing a ton of relatively easy tasks over the course of days. For instance, I'll do one page one day, and another the other day. It sounds stereotypical, but it helps
you did amazing and i motivate myself with some music when i'm working on a digital drawing or woring on a script. reward myself with the progress i made.
-A good way to keep motivated is to have Positive reinforcement. This more often than not in my life was the easiest way for me to willing do any type of project or assignment i was given. Unfortunately this won't always work because sometimes you regardless of that positive reinforcement you still don't wish to do it. -Have someone around to make you buckle down and do the task and encourage you to finish (this usually works best with a significant other but can also work with a close companion as well) This also could fail if your no constantly being supervised by that person or you get frustrated enough to see their encouragement and buckling down in a annoying or hostile way. When it comes to motivating yourself with no assistance it will always be a challenge; many have daily life issues to deal with, school/work obligations, responsibilities to attend too, companions to please (yes companions can be a double edged sword at times), and the multitude of dramas that are happening around the world and within your own backyard you have to either tolerate, feel as though you must get involved in or ignore. Trust me when i say that life won't let you just take a break to concentrate and when you do get a break from life you'll want to use that time to relax and not to concentrate on any other projects that could help you down the line. Sense a big issue many will say about this topic is "i don't have the time". Here are some ideas that may or may not assist with that issue. 1: The internet can be a wonderful place (not all the time but still) but it's been proven that its a large part of what takes up alot of freetime and its where most here about drama that they feel they need to speak up about. Thus my advice is don't go on the internet as much or at the very least social media. It may be a good way to keep in touch and watch videos but it's also a distraction that you can do without until your done with your project or assignment . 2: Friends as i said earlier can be like a double edged sword, you may feel obligated to please them and hang out or doing things with them and thats all well and good but you should know when to say to your friends that you need to complete something before you can do anything with them. If your friends can't understand this then you should do your best to explain it to them or perhaps reconsider who your friends really are if they can't understand that you want/need to take time to do something. Keep the friends that do understand close though and do take that the wrong way. 3: (mainly for those with a job) I speak from personal experience when i say this but if you have a job that after many attempts to make it better for yourself just isn't working out for you, it might be time to consider finding a slower pace or face pace depending on what your issue is job with less hours. Yes this can cost your money in the long run but your mental health is worth more than a few extra bucks. This is all not to say that you should quit any job that doesn't seem to work out for you because ultimately finding your dream job early on is hard unless you worked towards while your young and did the research to figure out if it was possible. Most entry level jobs or after highschool jobs often are very draining physically and mentally and sometimes you have to press on with a bad job depending on living condition, living circumstance, financial issue, family obligations and so on so this one is much hard to work around. But if you don't pay to many bill and live in a reasonably priced place or your still in with your parents or you split the cost of a place with a roommate you might want to consider switching to a less stressful work environment. Take it from someone who still works at a job this have many issues with, you don't want to have the same stress as me, and to clarify where i work is close by, pays more than most, and i've made myself indespicable so i have reasons to stay, but when i have enough saved up and i get a bit better at the field i'm currently working to get into i fully intend to switch to a simple 3 day a week job, or if i'm good enough at my field go full time with that instead. 4: (mainly for those still in school/collage) I found that in my time at school if i got my assignments done during the following class i could have free time to listen to the next classes lesson, do whatever assignment i was handed and have free time during a free period or lunch. Those time when you have the time instead of wasting the time having a 3 course lunch or just goofing off use it wisely and do that project or assignment. That way when you get home you have free time to do anything you want which is basically like Positive reinforcement. Or do all you homework during those free times and do the project or assignment at home. When your young you have more option then use adults so use those to your advantage and beat us earlier in life. I'm sure i could speak about other helpful tips on the subject but my hands are kinda tired from typing this down, so if this helped, thats good. If this didn't, then find your own way to do it, cause nobody knows you better than you. Take note that i said all this whilst being a major pessimist, so if i can think that way for a collective 6 minutes and beyond i'm sure you can give it a try as well. And you know what's great about this? Is that i highly doubt anyone in this day and age will actually take the time to read all of this so i ultimately wasted time myself trying to be helpful. YAY FOR ME...
I’m definitely gonna use the tips in this vid. I set myself three long term projects that, while don’t involve academics, are still important to me. I often push it back because of, yknow, school, so I might be able to finally get started on them 😊
Yeah, this episode hits home. I struggled to get my first 2 scripts done for my planned debut TH-cam videos. I know it'll be worth it when they're done, but oof it was hard work
Yeah taking a break can be very difficult but I have to get my music to hear it then my drawing right in front of me but the only one part is that we forget what's all about then my own positive attitude is from me to dance while I have to hear music everybody does that sometimes but yeah and I think that is going just fine 😁
My top tip for motivation: Music. Why? I've noticed that after/during playing music in an instrument motivated me in a way to do other things. An example of this is that Albert Einstein, when he got stuck in his work, would get up and play music. And he's famous for his work!
When I'm working on creative projects, I find it helps me to listen to music or Bob Ross videos (I regularly watch the Bob Ross Twitch stream). I tend to alternate between the two, depending on my mood. For music though, probably want to avoid music with lyrics, cause if you're like me you'll end up distracted singing along instead of actually working.
Also, I think I fit into the spastic breakdown portion a little too well. So, I think Imma just get to work, finish what I can, and then step back, take a look, a break, and come right back in! Awesome video! And so happy to be a part of the Discord too! So many great new friends!
Have any help for when you are making a project just for your own enjoyment and to show your crush and then you accidentally delete a part that you can never get back and it was the best part of your project? Bc I was working on something and then deleted a part without realizing, and the program I was using for it doesn’t hecking have a undo or “Are you sure you want to delete this?” Pop-up, and now I’m extremely unmotivated to do the project. It’s not like telling myself “It’s for my crush!” will help because my brain is stupid and doesn’t get motivated by those kinda things for some reason :
I'll admit, I do have a huge problem with procrastination, but part of that comes from lack of sleep thanks to my job at McDonald's. Heck, sometimes even when I have a crazy idea for a story or something, I can be so distracted by that that I forget all other chores. 😅 But my best tip is this: Listen to some positive and upbeat music to help you power through the boredom and monotony of the task. In the end, it'll be worth it.
When it comes to school, I almost rely on procrastination. The pressure of a deadline motivates me really well - if my marks are low. The biggest struggle I have with motivation is trying to juggle so many obligations that feel increasingly worthless. Perhaps the worst one is my Church. I'm having a crisis of faith, and the pressure of being in a youth leadership position isn't helping my mental health. I have so many things I'm responsible for, and I continue to care less and less. But if I were to drop these things, particularly going on a two-year mission, I know it would near-permanently divide me from my family and several friends. I don't want to do the whole "my life sucks" spiel - living in the US, I have it pretty good - but a good vent always helps. Hope y'all don't mind. (Y'know, I think that as you cover your basic needs, and more complex ones, our irritating human drive to progress keeps you dissatisfied with where you are and continues to advance your "needs". Like, if you have shelter covered, you might desire personalization. I dunno, that's just my theory for why first-world countrymen still feel the struggle so much.) What I really want to do is, first, find myself a job THAT SUITS ME. I don't need something "fulfilling", but I don't want to be stuck with a job that isn't remotely meaningful to me. My view is that the job is just there to support my lifestyle, which is where the actually relevant details come in. I love art and writing stories. I LOVE MLP fanfics, cos they're able to take the characters and world of MLP and create something a little more professional, less kiddie. Of course, the good fanfics. There are far more awful ones. My biggest motivation for writing is just being able to create an idea that people, as well as myself, will love and latch onto. I'm not a great writer, not by a long shot, but I'm practicing. I've been all over the place in this comment - I didn't expect to write all this when I scrolled down here - so let's just end with my core point here. I find motivation in things that are personally fulfilling, or just things that make me happy. Even if it's REALLY difficult, I'll still find the motivation to do tons of research if I really care about a topic, or write a ton of notes if I'm excited about what I'm producing.
I have a tip: I like to listen to music when I’m studying. Sure my work gets a bit sloppy, but it does get done faster. So I just edit it later! (Because online school.)
Dddddaaaawwwww, I love your new reincarnation of your OC. Its' really cute Ironically, when I take a break. I bake or make bread. It gives me time away from what I was doing. However, I will also need to find a way to fill up the 30 minute cook time or the 2 hour raising time. So why not use it to get back to what I was doing? Then go back to the cookies or brownies or bread dough. When it is time for that.
Ok so what motivates me to draw is pretty weird but here it goes, i usually get motivated to draw when i listen to mgs codec calls, idk know why but heck why not.
I usually bribe myself. Like, I'll put five oreos on a napkin near where I'm working, and if I complete my personal goal for that day, I can eat the cookies. Usually works for me, food gets me lol
I have to get myself bored, when I get bored I become incredibley industrious. When I'm bored I'll try to do an assignment that takes days to do in one and get half way done in a night. Sometimes when I'm bored enough to work I try and learn 3D modeling (I tried and failed many times at learning how to, but I've finally figured out how to learn to 3D model). I even try to make programs.
Thank you so much for the patience between uploads! Between working on projects outside of this channel, as well as real life commitments, it can be difficult to keep up ^^; I really do appreciate you guys, and the support you give despite the lack of uploads ^^; Thank you! =3
quality over quantity
No worries Ty. Everything you make is well worth the wait! And I'd rather you take you're time making these videos great and enjoy doing it than you getting burned out! Keep doing what you're doing! =)
Hey Ty can you check out on mouliminous channel there's an update on Gen 5 ponies and the show itself its really out there if you got the time to check it out.

Im watching this video instead of finishing my comic.
I’m watching during a break of school

You know those studies about twins, separated at birth, living eerily similar lives? Yeah, I think you're my twin.
I actually got diagnosed as a problematic procrastinator in college (turns out it counts as a mental problem) and here's what the group counselling taught me. Well, the stuff that I know works for me:
1)Stop assuming all time is equal. Different time slots have different value: your mind will work better or worse depending on how long you've been awake, what and when you last ate, that sort of thing. With that in mind:
2)Start assigning value to time slots.
Summary of this comment tips:
1) work in the right time slots
2) respect time slots
3)cut the project to tiny projects
And finally, don't drink coffee and alike in the dinner.

It helps me personally, so you can try it out, if ya want :)
K, back to homework
One word: music
I get randomly motivated while listening to music
Something that ties into what you said is a quote I have always heard at my school:
"If you feel like quitting, think about why you started."
I have to agree, Knowing WHY a thing matters such that it matters...... matters.
*"Anything worth doing is worth doing Right."*
In turn by the same if a thing is worth doing or a worthwhile use of resources,
as some things just are not of worth use of time; or so depending.
Great Video :)
I only got two things i can add to this list :

This video honestly couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I am having such a bad struggle with motivation to get my schoolwork done everyday, and it’s really taking a toll on my mental health (especially with how little sleep I get because of it).

The intro just summed up my life in a nutshell

An absolutely terrific and informative video Tyandaga i love it, and it's good to see you back my friend.
Hey Tyandaga! I have an Alicorn Oc that needs reviewing!!
Star Set
Star Set is an alicorn and the daughter of Luna and a prince of the stars named Comet.
When she was born, Luna realised she had no pupils or irises. This meant she was apart of a curse and the curse said,
"The child born eyes of blindness but can still see, will be the end of dominance for those ruling.
The child will free a creature of horrific past of magic and murder. "
Luna then took caution in the curse and put Star Set in solitary.
What she can do:
*Complex spells
* flight
*healing
Her traits
*Wise
*Kind
Negative traits
* social anxiety
*trauma
*sociopath
That's the first part, the second will be visual!!
5:23 Bob Ross!
Titanium Sauce. lol
Omg, it's been so long I'm not even intrested in this shit anymore.
I didn't realize how amazing your voice is.
This is the video I NEEDED!!! You re spectacular, sir, and I hope to see you flyin’ into G5.
Thank you for bringing awareness to this topic :)

Music is definitely a big motivator for me.
But that’s just me.
nice job on the video, this helped me, this problem is what I face all the time.
I'm currently learning Japanese and I find whenever I recognize something, it motivates me to learn more, rather than to discourage me because I don't understand most of it
A new design for your oc? Looks good!
Great video by the way!
This video has been a tremendous help to me! Thank you, Tyan.
It really the time to finish my next project! It about you! And because you still alive I really want to finish!
Great video bro! Very well edited!

My top tip for motivation: Music. Why? I've noticed that after/during playing music in an instrument motivated me in a way to do other things. An example of this is that Albert Einstein, when he got stuck in his work, would get up and play music. And he's famous for his work!

Yay a new art style!
I didn't know you were gonna parody my work flow? X'D

You have to be careful not to get too distracted when doing projects, which is why I listen to music when I work on projects.
I would turn the heat on and play music in the background. Somehow doing something in silence makes me want to go back to bed.
The intro is just like me I never finish my art and then I'm like, y'know, she doesnt need a wing
I dunno, that's just my theory for why first-world countrymen still feel the struggle so much.)
What I really want to do is, first, find myself a job THAT SUITS ME.
Its' really cute
Ironically, when I take a break. I bake or make bread. It gives me time away from what I was doing. However, I will also need to find a way to fill up the 30 minute cook time or the 2 hour raising time. So why not use it to get back to what I was doing? Then go back to the cookies or brownies or bread dough. When it is time for that.
“Completing some homework-“
Me: OH WAIT! I HAVE HOMEWORK!!!!! 😱😱
Ok so what motivates me to draw is pretty weird but here it goes, i usually get motivated to draw when i listen to mgs codec calls, idk know why but heck why not.
This was so helpful for me hh
It can take months for me to finish something lol
I'd love to see you in the actual show
I usually bribe myself. Like, I'll put five oreos on a napkin near where I'm working, and if I complete my personal goal for that day, I can eat the cookies. Usually works for me, food gets me lol
Oh deer, i know this feeling x_X
gasp!, so you aren't dead
I have to get myself bored, when I get bored I become incredibley industrious. When I'm bored I'll try to do an assignment that takes days to do in one and get half way done in a night. Sometimes when I'm bored enough to work I try and learn 3D modeling (I tried and failed many times at learning how to, but I've finally figured out how to learn to 3D model). I even try to make programs.
