Yesterday, I spent most of the day on the porch with our sweet old dog named Angel. We listened to music, like James Taylor n Jim Croce. She's always enjoyed when I had music on. Right now, we're on the porch, listening to Bread n spending our last day together, as she'll be going over the rainbow this evening. Thank goodness for good music to share with our ole gal ❤️.

Love is timeless, God is love. I prayed and asked Jesus Christ to save me from all my sins in 1973 on the island of Catalina. Back then the good Lord provided for me then just as he continues to do for me today. The soundtrack of my life is still these Bread hit songs.
I think the 70s were the most wonderful times to be alive. And the music of this time was sooooo good. Bread along with the Eagles were in the background of my life constantly Will never forget that greatest of decades

Hello 😢 I love bread music it reminds me of my brother Steve so I subscribed to you because he no longer has his mental capacity anymore and in a fire in his apartment the fireman tossed them over the third floor and I went through the burned items and collected his vinyl record collection and saved them. These songs remind me of him and in my uncontrollable crying listen to every single song. Love you Steve hope to see you soon. 😢

I hope you're doing well. You are about 12 years younger than my mother would have been if she were still alive. She used to love this band, and this song in particular. I have foggy memories of me as a child, listening to this music along with her. She had a really hard life and it is with time that I've come to understand. I too have tears in my eyes as I listen. In times like these, I hope and pray heaven or some version of it is real, so that may be I can see her again.

I'm 62 and loved these as I was learning how to slow dance.. Oh the memories.. Here is my daughter performing Aubrey for the first time.. My Dad passed a few years ago now. I miss him a lot. Music helps so much. I t does get easier. Hint: don't try to swallow the lump in your throat...voice it in song..and tears.
My sister passed away on May 31, 2023 after fighting cancer since 2020. When I was growing up, we did so many things together and those are memories I will always cherish. I love and miss her so much.

I was born in '72, but I remember riding in the car with my mom and her singing along to Bread. One of the first groups I love to this day... The songs remind me of being a kid in the 70s and they remind me of sunset hazes and summer nights, and the windows open with the warm breeze blowing in from Lake Michigan...a simpler time.

No one who didn’t grow up in the 70’s will never experience the kind of love we possess. Because of the music, the 70’s were special thanks to bands like Bread. When you are happy, the music touches the soul, but when you are sad the words are understood a lot better. Thank you God, for putting me on this Earth when you did. I am a 63 year old Grandmother and still listen to the music of the 70’s. My children and grandchildren love it too and that makes my heart happy. David Gates was happily married with children when he wrote most to all of his beautiful love songs (currently married over 60 years). It's one thing to understand love but another on how to write a love song -David not only wrote beautiful music (mostly just with his voice and guitar) but his lyrics contain words of someone who understands love from it's most powerful place of being unconditional to the deep heartbreak of 'wanting' of taking someone for granted. His music truly is healing and heart breaking - there is a reality to it a purity and innocence not found in todays music. My dad loved “Bread”. He would always play it in the house, the car, at parties, everywhere. These songs have a special place in my heart. I wish I was old enough to understand the lyrics when I was younger when my dad was still alive. Every time I listen to “Bread”, I can’t help, but cry.

My father passed away 2 months ago. He was born in 1960. I grew up listening to Bread because he played it all the time. Pure blissful music. #immortality
