Epic interview by two absolute Legend's! JH thank you for being so vulnerable and Jase, thank you for always bringing out the heart and soul of these riders (and everyone you interview). Forever grateful for both of you guys.
Jase it’s rad to see you give Johnny a chance when many others don’t. You’re always looking from a positive perspective and it’s really neat to watch johnny have a shift in his mind as you’re speaking to him. You have a good heart dude
I didn’t realize how bad we needed a guy like hopper. He’s is awesome for this sport! He has a gift of dissecting rider and explaining information like nobody else.
Really enjoyed this podcast. So much info and insight. I hope Hopper can get back to the press conferences as he has a great eye for the sport and what the riders do during the races.
Absolutely loved this one! Genuinely didn’t expect most of the topics discussed but I was here for it! On the whole simulation/religion discussion, I have a book recommendation for both you fellas… The Physics of God by Joseph Selbie. Dives deep into the concepts you guys were talking about and expands on them even further.
I like the concept of mixing MX races in between SX races, but living in Michigan I can attest that it is going to be tough to get races like Red Bud, Millville, & Ironman before May/After September and not have motocross become mudcross at Mud Bud (see MXdN both years), Mudville (2006 when Ricky lapped the field), or Mudman (prolly 1/3 of all Ironman races over the year have been mudders)--and that doesnt even include Unmudilla like in 2017, or Mudds Creek, or Mudwick or Mud Point. I think we would still need to have a handful of outdoors during the summer months (May-Sep) just to get more reliable weather (no one wants a MudBud in May/October when its 45 and raining), but there definitely is room to mix things up and spread them out.
johnny "the digresser" hopper. has an awsome from the outside looking in perspective on our sport. personally id like to see he and coach rob and cooksy on the the broadcsst.
Man! Gypsy Tales you made my day when I saw this video in my feed. I like when Hopper "overs share" the Fella is just keeping it real. Thank you! Edit: Dude I am 2 hours in and this has been amazing so far!
Can’t believe I watched all 4 hours of this good rambling and since there’s so much honesty going on I was never a fan of either of you at fist even tho it means nothing coming from a nobody but when you both first started I thought here’s just another guy trying to make money by making TH-cam channel and starting a podcast but i find myself always watching you both daily you’ve touched so many people with great advice in moto and life funny we all as riders feel and go through so much of the same emotions and pains ups and downs all from the thrill of a motorcycle
50:48. Alternative acronym of FINE: Freaked out, Insecure, Neurotic, & Emotional. Alternative I've heard to Johnny's personal version of Frustrated, Irritated, Nervous, & Emotional
i honestly never expected this one but i can’t wait to listen just about all of jett’s competitors that are factory dudes were racing themselves into shape i feel if bryce shelley moved out of chases way at ironman, there wouldn’t be a perfect season i applaud chase for stepping it up at the end of the races as for kenny, if suzuki had an electric start he would have won the race i feel, if kenny raced dilla and budds creek there wouldn’t have been a perfect season
Been following Hopper since 2018. Got me back into riding and also have always appreciated his unfiltered approach to the moto industry. Hope that never goes away and the sport needs more people like this with a different perspective.
Agnosticism for the win. Noone has shit for proof of anything. IMO the moto community really needs to dial back religion on the podium. Especially LL's.
Agreed…especially with the podium stuff….. But atheism and agnosticism isn’t mutually exclusive. Agnosticism is what you know while atheism is what you believe. I am an agnostic atheist. I don’t currently belive in any gods but I don’t claim to know there isn’t one.
@@BrianPeters110 Do you really think anyone cares whether you're an agnostic atheist, atheist, a pinecone or whatever else you looney toons come up with next to justify denying God? You're all deniers of faith. You act like it's some badge of honor, or great conversation talking piece to justify denying God... I hope you find Jesus before it's to late.
Totally disagree with Johnny about bit coin being digital gold. Physical gold is tangible, useful and something. Crypto is not useful for anything and is nothing.
Great honest transparency by Johnny. Obviously, this was his genuine thoughts. He was the nicest national pro, who took time at the big races to speak with my daughter and I when he was racing. To this day, years after he stopped racing, he still speaks with us and encourages my daughter with her youth MX racing. Great guy!
1:10:58 just went to the smx final i feel this cuz i was in line for a beer and i didnt know where the line started and i was in front of a guy and he said something i didnt hear what he said and after but he said line starts badk there buddy i said thanks and walked away like okay dawg chill
Thanks 4 this. I think you and Hopper are truly great to have on “air”! IMO you both are terrific for in many under explored facets of moto life and life in general.
Loved this interview. I’ve always appreciated Johnny’s perspective. He’s unique and his content stands out from the rest. Thanks for having him on the podcast, it was interesting to hear about the work he’s put in behind the scenes to become the man he is. You guys hit the head on the nail with this one! 😂 🤩
Hello. In Estonia, we have such a thing as the Estonian Hobby Motocross Club. There is a competition once a month. ( There are also other races, so if you want, you could ride three races a month ) Seven competitions in total, all over Estonia. In autumn we really can't ride. winter, of course, you can ride the ice track, etc. There are eight different classes. It doesn't matter whether you are 250 or 450. it matters how fast you are. You may have riden for an hour, but everyone in the class is just as fast. The more amateur competitions there are that maintain this sport, the better motocross will do.
I know exactly how Jett is riding (form wise). I literally figured it out the other day. It is the most insane thing I would have never tried it back in the day. It's the opposite of what you would think. However, I was messing around a few weeks ago, and have been perfecting it since. I stay squared with the bike. I can explain it, and yes, it is mind-blowing. I would love to chat with one of you about it.
I still can’t believe the riders don’t have a UNION. Till then most of the money will go to a select few of riders and I’m guessing the promoters. Majority of the money needs to go to the riders. No suit in the office minus a small few should make more than any of the riders aka the talent. Without the talent the events would be empty. When it comes to a National I hope the track owner makes more than the sanctioning body for that event as they should. I just have a bad vibe that they operate like our Government.
I fucking love you guys. Y’all are my people. Thanks for striving to understand yourselves and grow as humans with some humility. Great examples for people in the Moto community and beyond. Hope for more collaborations in the future. ❤
Seeing and meeting people who are good at making money is sheer joy to me.. it tells me that anyone can do it. Keep up the grind folks get debt free and invest every dime either in yourself or the market. That means a business.. or any of the markets.
Man, I wish if a tree fell down And no one seen it fall it didn't happen. In the middle of the night when everyone was asleep, a tree in my yard crushed my neighbor's car like a pancake. So that theory is out the window lol.
Great show!!! Your definitely on point with most of your views.. I bet you listen to Alan Watts.. the only thing I’d have to add is, not only is there a God, you are God.. and you choose your parents before you choose to be born.. I’ve come to learn this from researching near death experiences.. love the podcasts.. this one was one of the best!!!
One of the worse things in life as a man is not having the approval and or respect of your father. You can lie to yourself that you don't need it. But the truth is you always will.
I love the argument that mathematically we live in a simulation because if you actually believe you're in a simulation why would you trust the math to be correct & reliable?? Or does the fact that math not work right at a quantum level prove that the other math IS code of some sort and not a constant?
Didn't expect that to go where it went. I like to give both of you a little shit, at times. But I always like listening to each of your shows. This particular episode showed there's quite a bit more substance to you both than you normally let on. Well, maybe a little more so with Hopper. Either way, together you guys really put one up. Nice job!
Love both your content. Unfortunately Johnny has years of unresolved anger, cant remember the last time I was on the verge of trading blows with someone, maybe 30 years ago, I hope he gets it sorted, the boys racing him saw it when he was young and he was on the outer :(
Hopper is giving us a genuine new perspective on the inside of the industry we need someone like Hopper
Epic interview by two absolute Legend's! JH thank you for being so vulnerable and Jase, thank you for always bringing out the heart and soul of these riders (and everyone you interview). Forever grateful for both of you guys.

Yep, hard to beat those 3! Authentic people and perspectives.
Great interview
Really didn’t care much for Johnny until this podcast now I’m a huge fan
Braap thx bro
During JS7's perfect season, Mike Alessi was actually his biggest rival... until he fell in the 1st lap of that one race and got run over like 7 times
Brother i love this channel! Been on a binge watch and listen while on the road
I didn’t realize how bad we needed a guy like hopper. He’s is awesome for this sport! He has a gift of dissecting rider and explaining information like nobody else.
So happy about this interview, hopefully it gets the views it deserves. Here we go
Good to see Hopper on here! Thanks Jace for this ome!
Dude. I just wanted to listen Moto stuff and stumbled into something I really needed to hear. What a bizarre but awesome experience ❤
Don't know why hopper is hated on, he is legit and comes across sincere great choice gypsy
I agree!
Gonna be listening to this one while driving through the Appalachian Mountains of WV for work. Can’t beat it.
Really enjoyed this podcast. So much info and insight.

Great pod love me some Hopper! Would love to see a 3rd camera angle of the set/table you guys are sitting at.

I loved the deep financial talk before the moto section
