- Take a new air ride and enjoy more action from some of the Z-scale layouts on NTS 2011, including scenes from Mr. Daves layout, Golden ~ Blackhawk & Central R.R. and 2 soundequipped AZL Challengers i Z-scale.
The video also featuring some more equipment running on the Bay Area Z-scalers (BAZ BoyZ) and Southern California Z-scalers (ZoCal) huge modular layout seen on NTS 2011 in Sacramento, CA, USA.
I've been away from model railroading for a while now. I never could have dreamed Z scale would have become so advanced. Thank you much for this video.
Forgot to mention,
This is a very nice layout, one of the best i have seen.
Nice, the scenery and details are better than half the HO layouts I've seen lol
Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this one boys! I am impressed beyond words. I started a small Z scale layout years ago, and never even completed that. I can't imagine the man hours that went into this project. Kudos!
It's nice to see more American trains in Z Scale. I seem to recall that for the longest time the selection was quite limited as they mainly did German and European trains in Z Scale.
Nice coffee break, great stuff wish I was there this year also. :-)
Excellent layout; great mountains and ravines.
Outstanding layout
Idk why but I've always loved trains and toy trains!
Once you have a Love for trains it will Never Die.
Wow that looks great AND expensive! I had to get a 2bd mortgage just WATCHING the video!..lol! Very nice layout!
the challengers and big boys in z scale cost as much as a used car $2200
EXCELLENT, PERFECT and AWESOME!!!!! You have got it just right, good job. Keep up the good work.
Very nice, thanks. You are obviously a master at creating rocky scenery. Maybe at some point you could do an instructional video to help the rest of us out. Thanks again.
thanx for this great video....
My Wife and I Would love to go to Another Train show.
Amazeing to see this scale
@eyeballsful This is absolutely Z Scale!!
The AZL AC-12's MSRP was 1623.70 So, somewhere in that area.
Good camera work.
The Z scale big layout .
I really like these small trains, you can do so much in a very small space.
I wish i still had my ''N'' scale trains, guess my ex liked them better.
Los trenes escala Z mas chicos que el N . Su gran maqueta tardaron demasiado en hacerla , tiene patios , talleres , fabricas , silos de grano , tuneles , almacenes y paisajes muy detallados .
Sorry, I dont understand your language.
Is in spanish .
@@smholt I have N scale trains and Z but is no electric . The Z scale its small what the N . I gonna build Z scale layout in a potfolio whit 2 tracks , a remote swich and 15 crossing . But its of DC .
thats insane miniaturization . a sound decoder in z? i didnt even think you could run dcc in a z scale setup, sound??? that just insane. z is so small, N is small and Z is tiny. i personally like HO probably the most popular scale, its big enough that you can have great detail but small enough where you can put allot in a fairly small space. i need to build a new HO layout soon. i have several atlas diesels, spectrum steam, and i even have a 2-8-2 broadway limited... i need a layout
very good
N scale would be your best bet. I run N scale and it is perfect size
Thanks for the replies. I was curious. When I looked into z scale yrs ago it was VERY expensive.
Yes you're looking at $200 - $265 per Diesel and $300+ for steam. $2200 for a big boy and $1700 for a Challenger. That's triple or quadruple the price for a Z scale locomotive compared to n scale $65 - $100 per Diesel, $100-350 for a steam with dcc and sound. Rolling stock in N scale $5- $25 per car while in Z scale $25 - $75 per car. Yeah Z is very expensive.
THAT IS SO AWSOME? How do you clean the track surface in the caves?????????
日本語が通じないけど、素晴らしいです!ほとんどの製品がメルクリンでしょうがNゲージの4分の1で住宅の貧困な日本に向いていますね!
Nice Mod's! Is the system DCC?
Also like the music. what the name of it??
are those engines brushless and how much would the big steamer cost
golden and blackhawk.. are you in colorado too???
I've been there I remember him
At 6:25 someone is speaking Norwegian. :D
where is this National Train Show, cause i would like to see it
Can a sneeze knock over a Z scale train?
cool
Don’t touch But you can Druel All you want.
Expensive hobby
What is that parrot like shreiking noise? Please don't tell me that's what Z scale sounds like.
The AZL engines Are very silent, but the old Marklin engines you can hear in some parts has much more noise. Newer Marklin engines with modern 5-pole engines are more silent. Some Microtrains engines have also similar noise as the old Marklin engines.
the only thing I like about this scale is the amount of stuff you can place in a small area lol but other then that its way to small for me.......I barely like dealing with HO at times lol no way I could deal with Z and I'm sure its expensive!
