    Lol! Just in time. After last review couple days ago, I was tempted to pitch a bitch. I’ve used mine quite a bit. I’ve tried to not like it, but I just keep grabbing it over my other knives to choose from. Ontario sheaths have always been a disappointment, however they are better then they were just a couple years ago and they do function just fine. The addition of the metal ring on the handle retention strap is a nice touch as it allows the strap to fall away to reduce the chance of being cut when removing or replacing blade. For nitpicking sake, I do prefer the stone wash finish rather then polish. It has proven itself to be simply a Goldilocks of function. I believe it’s a sleeper, if a knife can be categorized as such.
    I’m glad your still pleased with yours and I do appreciate the review as it’s always nice to have validation. Cheers!

    My review of the Ontario Knife Company SK-4 Black Bird (Made in USA), a very handy bushcraft knife, 4 inch blade, 154CM steel. OKC makes some of my favorite machetes, and the SP series includes the Marine Raider and SP53. Their new Journeyman knife also looks interesting. To check out their lineup, see the list in the text description, enjoy! :]

    I’ve been looking at both the SK4 and SK5, as they are excellent examples of The original Kephart knives. 👍👍

    Nice review. I too have been waiting for your review of the blackbird. I'm surprised more people haven't discovered this knife. This has replaced all my knives for any duties requiring 3 to 5 inch blades. Sheaths are overrated and over priced for the most part. Thanks maaan

    I've been using this as my primary bush knife for about a year. It's not my favorite looking knife in my collection, but because of it usefulness it keeps getting dirt time.

    Just ordered a second one today. I've been looking for the best overall size quality etc for me to transition to edc fixed blade carry. I had an sk4 factory second for a year but only used it once with factory edge. I took that out and put a decent edge on it and tested prices to me sometimes the answer I staring right at us.

    The handle looks like it's made well imo full control of the knife.That full flat grind is my favorite.👍👍

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely gives good control, the handle is short but making it a little extra wide as they did really helps.

    Nice knife, cruddy sheath... the sheath is the main reason I never got the SK5.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I don't need the MOLLE, I'd prefer a more conventional sheath, maybe some kydex.

    • @kennywheelus6857

      Not expensive really either, 110 starts at 29.99 without sheath, sheath is like 30.00 extra,your choice of left or right hand carry an brown or black leather with plastic insert, blade thickness is 3,16 of inches or 3.94, the 140 has a 5an half inch blade,both have duper comfortable handles an spine can throw sparks as well as a scraping tool for wood working,the tip is very stout an has a lanyard loop at the end of the handle, sheath is a dangle type with a drain hole an snap button for extra security but has great friction lock by itself

    • @kennywheelus6857
      @kennywheelus6857 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh also here for me it was like 10.00 dollars u.s. for shipping by DHL,arrived rather quickly than 2 weeks, it was a week on mine,but anyway still pretty sharp for all of the stuff I've put it through.

    I LOVE my sk5 ..Although I originally sold my first one I bought one again and reprofiled the edge. With a convex grind it's a BEAST...The most wicked slicer I've ever owned actually.
    This sk4 imho looks like it would make a great edc with a kydex sheath. UNDER $100 would be fair $89 👌 that's what I got my sk5 for.
    Just to many good knives in that price point. You should check out Beckers BK18 Harpoon bro it rocks!
