    Blake, I just came across this video and then saw the entire final video (the finished product).... it brought tears in me ... what a way to bring in life and energy among the little souls to keep them together and alive in spirit during those difficult moments. And certainly there couldn't be a better choice of song, than "we are one" sisi ni moja! .... hats off... May God bless you and all those little angels...

    Great Video. OpenShot is free editing software and it allows unlimited tracks which you can simply select and ask it to lay them out equally on the screen automatically. Much quicker.

    This is super helpful. But I have a newbie question. In this video, you demonstrate using videos with audio in one track. But you mention in previous comment that you used separate audio & video tools for your choir video. Is that how you got such a good sound? I am just practicing with videos that I made myself, but it sounds so dry. I want to add a small amount of reverb or something to make it sound more choral. I don't see the ability to do that on WeVideo. Can I? And if you edit audio & video separately then you have to sync those back up, right?

    • @blakerichterproductions
      @blakerichterproductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tania Mannion correct. This is a very basic tutorial. I used Pro Tools to edit audio (but you can use Garage Band or Audacity) then I edited my video in Sony Vegas. This is how I got the clear sound. I added reverb and equalized the tracks a bit.

    Can I ask what video editing software you recommend for most flexibility in sizing and number of tiles or boxes? Were you happy with WeVideo? I'm also looking at OpenShot, Movavi, Filmora, or maybe even paying for Premier Pro. It's my first time, but I do see myself doing this more than once.

    • @blakerichterproductions
      @blakerichterproductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      erasmiav I used Pro Tools to edit the audio, then I used Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum for the video. I just used WeVideo for this tutorial since a lot of people have access to that software online.

    Blake, at 16:20 it seems as if I can hear the multiple soundtracks playing while you are singing. Forgive me if I missed it, but you ask all your kids to listen to your audio with headphones on and simply record their singing, correct? Otherwise it seems the sound would eventually get jacked up with all those tracks playing in the background.

    Thank you so much for the video Blake! I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my choirs! Do you know by chance the max number of videos/tracks you can put on one screen? For instance, I have 60 kids in 5th grade choir.

      Hey Ethan! I’m glad you found the video informative! I do not use WeVideo super often, but when I have tried adding a bunch of video tracks I have gotten over 60 tracks before. You should be good to go!

    I am a K-5 elementary chorus teacher and would very much like to create a virtual chorus video for my chorus. As this is the fist time I am attempting this project using WeVideo;I wonder I could use flipgrid to get students to record themselves, that way I could collect all their recordings in the flipgrid. Another question regarding creating a guide track for them when they record their singing, is it necessary to get them to count aloud and clap on beat 4 then start singing? Would that helps with the editing so that you could see on the audio file where they clap and start singing?

    • @blakerichterproductions
      @blakerichterproductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually edited all of the audio in a program called ProTools first. Then I edited my video in a program called Sony Vegas. You could import one student video at a time on WeVideo, hit the finish button, save just the audio, then import all of the individual audio tracks into audacity or garage band (or any audio editing software) and mix the audio first. Does that make sense?

    Thanks, Blake! Good video! I am following your instructions. But I still haven't been successful. Even closing all tracks, I am having rework. its seems like not saving. There are 52 singers. Any tip?

    • @blakerichterproductions
      @blakerichterproductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lydia Moraes Yes, some people have run into this issue. I would suggest saving a handful of singers at a time. Maybe 20 at a time. Then you can upload that video of the 20 singers and continue adding more. Does that make sense? One person did this and had a successful final product.

    • @blakerichterproductions
