    I absolutely love this video, you’re very detailed. I just have one question, don’t you need a natural preservative since you’ve added the water and aloe juice?

    • @NabilaRaine
      @NabilaRaine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Thank you! yes, generally you do! I did not use a preservative because I was only using it for a 1 week and a half-2 weeks or less. If you want to keep it for longer, you must use a preservative so that no bacteria or mold will grow. I'm not too familiar with the best preservatives so I just make it in small batches. It may have seemed like a lot here but it was just for video/demonstration purposes. I hope this helps and thank you for your question and for watching!

    May I make a suggestion? After the soap is dissolved and before adding the oil, that you strain the soap. I’ve always noticed that there are solids, but the other day the nozzle on my squeeze bottle clogged, so I strained it. You need a pretty fine strainer. I used my tea strainer. Also it is perfect for a foam pump bottle!

    • @NabilaRaine
      @NabilaRaine  4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Oonagh72 yes of course! Thank you for your suggestion 😊 another queen just mentioned that she uses cheesecloth to strain the soap and that works well for her.
      I think next time I want to try keeping it a liquid and putting it in a form pump!

    Thank you for this video and the links to the ingredient measurements. I am new to guar gum and I did not know how much to use all I have heard is don't use too much. You giving me a really great idea now about the proportion that's needed. When I have dissolved my African black soap into distilled water I use a chocolate melter with the surgical silicone lining that's removable and washable. And I said it on the lower temperature and it seems to melt it a lot faster than when I was putting it in a bowl and covering it. If you have a chocolate melter give it a try it works really well.

      Hi, thank you love. Hmmm, I'm not sure. I have not tried that before. But if you do try it be sure to update us on how it worked out! Guar Gum is what makes it thick, seamoss will probably dissolve in the liquid, but it may depend on how much you use. From what I have read, it looks like it gentle enough for babies but I have never tried it on a baby, so do your research before you do. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️️

      Christy thomas Christy thomas hi, at this point you’ll just have to keep mixing it until it dissolves. A tip that a fellow queen gave was to put a little bit of the liquid soap in a cup and then add the guar gum slowly. After it’s all mixed into that little batch then you can add it to your bigger batch. Maybe we both can try this next time we make some and see how it goes.

      Автандил Юсубов I have never tried that. But I think it will cause the soap to sweat and look unpleasant. You can try the fridge to make it last a little longer

    Looks Great for a body wash, but definitely not a shampoo. Who would want that much oil in their shampoo?!

    Suggestion: look for fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

    The essence of using black soap to shower is to wash away the oil on your soap and you can feel the squeaky feel when you run your hand over your skin. Wouldn't all the oil you added clog your skin up?

      Hi! I personally have really dry skin so it’s the right amount of moisture for me. So you can tweak it to your liking. If you don’t want to add any oils at all, you don’t have too. Hope this helps 🙂

      If you do not have anything nice to say don't say it at all. Your negativity is definitely not needed.
