Special Ed recalled his close friendship with Tupac Shakur, whom he met through Queen Latifah's crew while on tour. Despite the perceived competition in the hip-hop world, Ed remembered camaraderie and genuine happiness for each other's success. He fondly reminisced about his off-camera casual times with Tupac, sharing drinks and laughter. He remembered one memorable instance when he was in L.A and Tupac visited him from the Bay. They went to a party, which turned out to be dreary, so they stayed outside. Unbeknownst to them, an infamous event happened inside - the Dr. Dre and Dee Barnes incident. Both were oblivious to the occurrence until later, which now seems ironic to Ed as Tupac subsequently ended up working with Dr. Dre. Ed believes everybody makes mistakes, and any issues between Dre and Dee should have been resolved long ago.

Special Ed is a true hip hop legend!!!
Better of a legend than tutupac for sure
@youngtupac1971 They both are legends in their own right. One of rap and the other of hip hop. What do you mean by "better a legend"r??
Imma be honest, I didn’t recognize him.
@thehawk5141 how so

Man Pac stories are endless, a true legend. RIP Pac
He S2xually assaulted someone ? doesn't matter huh? LOL, loast mfs boy
Special Ed was in the movie Juice as the drug dealer who dated Raheem girl... He had the fly red Jetta
Really wow
Pac got him that role too
How do you know he was a drug dealer? Why cuz he had a Jetta?
Thought that was your woman lol
@Alwaysbetonblack1 Now what u gon do 😆
To live in those times and see Pac from the beginning to the end was incredible. Truly a special time. The rap game was changing. Sound was changing. I’m lucky to have seen it when it happened. These PAC interviews is like filling in the blanks when the cameras and music was off. Amazing
U heard what he said! When he in the WEST he hit up Tupac NOT NY.
@@thesupervisor3270 that's because the west put pac on..💯
Love hearing new 2pac stories. Even though Pac lived on the West Coast, he always had love for East Coast. Special Ed is a true legend.
He's from the East...
@@Incredible_Geez I'm aware of that
Pac also lived in Georgia. He mentioned that in his interview back in 95 in his prison interview.
He lived on the east as well
@@icecreambeats101true. He had a home in Lithonia and his mom lived in Decatur. A lot of pacs moms side of his family still live in the Atlanta area to this day. He lives there for about a year 1/2 but he had an apartment in L.A. during that time as well.
I like the way Ed tells stories 🫡.

Thats one of those lines thats foul... But you cant help but laugh yo ass off cause of the irony. 😂😂😂
If you know who Dee Barnes was or how she looked like, you'd know she was a petite short girl and clearly Dr Dre didn't need to pull up with a crew of men so go listen to Eazy E's verse in Real Compton City Gz on that topic.
@apollosungod2819 but Eazy said she deserved it, so he had no room to talk.
@@twill5077 I don't believe he was the one that said that.
Hey Vlad, invite Dee Barnes to the channel, so you can interview her.
Yea
I would be surprised if he hadn't asked her already since he has interviewed so many people who were on death row and Ruthless. She has to be tired of talking about it
Damn Pac drove 6-8 hours to hang with Ed
It didn't even take that long for pac to get slumped from point A to point B 😂
ED was admired when he came on the scene. Well atleast here in Brooklyn. First time we saw the Got it Made video, alot of us youngsters knew exactly where the video was shot, and just the video itself was nice. Pac was happy to actually start meeting some artists. Unfortunately some of those dirty hang ons watch your pocket smucks, set him up and tried killing him at Quads.
Special Ed worked on a song with Pac too
Special Ed was actually in the Juice movie
Probably 8 hours

Vlad got Special Ed on here this classic NYC!💪🏾
Was that before or after JUICE (1992)?
I recently read an article with ED and he said Pac got him the small cameo in the film.
ED said he arrived to the set and saw that they had a lookalike.
Then Pac went to the director told him to put ED in that scene instead.
Brotherly love!
Juice was the movie Pac, got Special Ed in. Special was fuckin with Raheem's baby momma
The whole Dr Dre beating up Dee Barnes situation happened around mid to late 1991 which means that Tupac had not yet released his 2Pacalypse Now first album yet cause that was released in 1992 then around that time Tupac had auditioned for Juice movie, got the role and they basically made the movie fairly quickly in early 1992 and released it.
Also remember movies do take time to make but also technically Juice was a fairly low budget movie in comparison to most other movies that's why the dramatic performance really sticks out and why other Hollywood studios eventually wanted Tupac to be in films too.
Beats by Dre.
That was 100000000% out of pocket, but you win this comment section.
🥇🎖️🏆🎖️🥇
I still can’t believe Dre beat that girl like that and everyone stood around and watched. smh Then the other members of NWA said she deserved it on live tv.
😢😅
Right. They are down playing it like a slap or kick. It was a full beating with men standing around to block her from getting help while he’s beating her up at the party. Also he chased her in the bathroom & apparently sexually assaulted her too. She spoke about all of this in her Wendy Williams interview on tv. Horrible guy who has a history of beating women up.
@@diamondsas4995 ppl ignore him not being a good guy because he’s a “great producer” (even though he buys tracks off other people, or hires other producers & musicians to make tracks for him, then takes the credit lol)

Dre was a coward for that...they said he beat her like she was a man
they said he beat all of his women like a man.
It's crazy how the industry always pick and choose - From all these stories with all these rappers abusing women (Dre, BIG, Pun, Fab', Diddy, and the list goes on), we never heard any queen saying 'Pac put hands on them... Except that lie from Ayanna
I said the same thing! I really don't understand it!
Pump It Up! That was the name of Dee Barnes show. I remember that time all so well. I recall when she discussed the incident on Pump It Up and Tim Dogg was there with 50 or 60 people saying they were going to step to Dre beat his azz. It was intense.
Funny to hear Special Ed, who has been blaming NWA for destroying Hip Hop, take such a weak stance regarding Dre's assault on Dee Barnes. The two haven't resolved anything. Dee says she has migraine headaches to this day, because of Dre's assault. The beating went on a lot longer than "four minutes", as Special Ed claimed.
@@davidsamuels9557 Keep in mind these days everything is political in these circles. I heard Dee Barnes is Blackballed which could be part of the reason for Special Ed’s answer.
@@SupremmoWell Ed suffers from selective outrage, then. I also heard that Dee, the victim who did nothing to provoke the assault, has been blackballed. She begged the producers of Pump It Up not to include the Ice Cube clip at the end of the NWA interview. Dre didn't have that kind of violent energy with Suge, when he was leaving Death Row.
@@davidsamuels9557 Let’s not forget that Dre has a history of this sort of thing. He hit Tarrie B or whatever rap name use to be and Michel’le.
@@davidsamuels9557 At one point Dre was going to produce Special Ed's album. Remember I said the nature of these answers are politically motivated? Ed wants to keep that door to Dre open. He attacked the group NWA and NWA as a concept. He didn't go after individuals.

Vlad at times be sneak dissing 2pac in his interviews in the past on his channel. But yet, can't go without mentoring the man to other people lol.
How is he sneak dissing?
@icecreambeats101
He did a interview with Hip-Hop legend Kool G Rap. And they talked about the greatest rappers of all-time and G Rap mentioned the rappers he likes. And he didn't mention 2pac or Biggie and Vlad brung up 2pac. And G Rap said, 2pac was a great rapper in his own right and then Vlad said. But 2pac wasn't lyrical and Biggie was. Cause he was surprised G Rap didn't mention Biggie. But then, he has a interview with Snoop from years ago and asked Snoop what it was like working with 2pac in the studio and cause he was lyrically talented. From Vlad words. Then he has video with actor/comedy Tommy Davidson. And Vlad once again brung up 2pac name lol. And Tommy said he wasn't who you think he was. Then Vlad said, yeah cause he went to the Baltimore school of arts and it had ballet there. Trying to discredit 2pac as a person. When he didn't leg Tommy finished his statement. And Tommy said no, he had love in his heart and he was respectful to him and he was a huge fan of Tommy work. Of how he was portray in the media.
