The last time I rebuilt my well house plumbing I swore I would get one of these. I used 1-1/2" & 1-1/4" SCH 40 PVC from the well head to the pressure tank with all the various fittings, valves, and unions it was a lot of cutting with a hand shear. I had to take breaks every few cuts due to carpal tunnel syndrome. I will definitely be getting this tool the next time a rebuild is required. Couldn't agree more on your thoughts about 1/2" stuff. Hand sheers don't bother my wrists cutting 1/2".

I've thought about getting the Ryobi version of this to install an in ground sprinkler system that I've been planning on doing for the last ten years. I hear you about arthritic hands and them not working quite as well as they used to. I wonder what else a guy could use these to cut?
Hi Bruce Yep a peice of pine , drill a hole and hot glue the the flat bottoms on the battery. Ya my hands can't cut pipe all day long , that's for sure.

Another home gamer talking about a tool that provides a roof for the pros. Shit I love mine. But it’s what feeds me. The hand ones is only good now for a quick job that may be a distance an ya don’t want to carry it for a quick cut or two. But for real plumbing work. Its definitely a home run
I would not buy one but not for cutting pipe but for loading and pruning trees....I would be curious to have that for the camp....if you try it on that let me know ....I would maybe get one for the camp and carry it in the Mule.....CHEERS
Hi Gator I cut up a neibours climbing bush , about 1 inch , looked like grape vines . It cut it like butter . It's made for pipe but yes it cuts branches too . I wouldn't try over 1 inch.
I love tools as much as the next guy. I will take your advice and save myself $300 bucks though. It is a cool tool though and I love Milwaukee stuff. I don't do enough cutting pex pipe at the moment but one day I might. Never know.

Ya choke up on the tool an hit the safety with ya thumb a your pointer for both triggers. Whichever ya need. As another said. Like a car ya don’t need ya foot on the gas an break at the same time
This isn't a DIY tool, it's a professional plumbing tool. Make 200 cuts daily on SCH40 2"PVC and tell me it's not worth $300

I use it to cut bamboo in the garden.

Yes absolutely on the larger diameter stuff this is the way to go.
I agree something one may not need but if cutting much 1 inch and bigger it is a nice tool to have

You don’t have to remove the guard to remove the cutter. Use Allen wrench remove bolt. Then remove cuttet
