Teaching resonance fingerings is vital. Much better to teach them earlier on when possible. Helps keep fingers low to the clarinet, obvious tone improvements, and easier note transitions. Great lesson!

I'm going to be in university soon, and I just learned recently, I've been playing the "wrong fingering" on the clarinet when I cross the break. In other words, I play B on the right hand and C on the left. I've been learning it this way the entire time I've been playing the clarinet, so it's hard to break this habit. If you have any tips, recommendations, anything, please do tell
one of the best ways to make crossing the break is to play bass clarinet and then go back to Bb clarinet because omg its much harder on bass and if you can do it on that it makes it super easy on Bbh
