Steve I really love your videos because I’m getting ready to spec out my fourth and probably last peterbilt and they help me see what options look good and what I don’t think looks good.I noticed you said this truck has premium air cleaners and platinum interior which it has neither. I think you’ve done so many videos maybe you’re on auto pilot. I’m not trying to be critical of your videos I’m just keeping you on your toes
This probably a stupid question but why is there a small coiled hose going to the fifth wheel? I'm obviously not a truck driver but I enjoy these videos.
Magnifique Peter bilt mon ami Très jolie modèle et excellente explications très intéressantes pour moi Je suis routier en France Je suis abonné à ta chaîne 👍 Magnificent Peter bilt my friend Very nice model and good explanation very interesting for me I am truckers in France I enjoy watching your video this is a pleasure for the eyes 😎👍 I am subscribed of France And I would be proud to have you as subscriber too 👍
So...those of you in the trucking industry....how much $$$ you guess it would take to buy this truck? I'm just curious....I have no idea what they go for.
You should always ask price after taxes because the difference is huge. First The government adds a new engine surcharge to the cost of the truck of about $9250.00 which is a tax. Then a 12% federal excise tax plus sales tax on top of that. So they add the surcharge to the cost of the truck that way they can tax the tax. It’s not Peterbilt’s fault the government is screwing us but you just should know there’s about $40,000 in taxes on a new truck. I guess that’s the governments way of incentivizing you to buy a new truck.
Fuel level in the clear housing indicates filter restriction, systems with a primary and secondary setup requires neg pressure and a positive pressure gauges to determine flow restriction. The Davco requires no input from the driver to the shop mechanics to know when the filter needs changing.
Also there have been issues with the paccar filters and certain blends of fuel. Guys are having to change out filters around 7k miles. Better to spend the money and steer clear of known problems.
Alright gotcha, thanks.. I picked up a 2019 Hino for a customer a few weeks back.. turned the truck on to get A/C cold.. went in office and by the time I came out the truck was on an idle stop.. damn epa rules
Hey Steve just wondering if you have old inventory, I have a 2012 Freightliner will you take that as a down payment or will I need more money down, thank you Steve like your videos.
Oh I can completely understand why it's done and ur right in another video. U can't tell it's not a full dual exhaust unless u look closely. But u guys do amazing work
What does this thing come in at weight wise? I am saving up for my day cab 389 from you. I haul food grade pnematic tankers. So a pto will be part of the package.I'd like to stay under 17500 with about 100 gallons worth of fuel. Not going to bother you until I have about 100k saved up. Should be in about two years. :)
Well if I decide to get a truck , Big PETERBUILT I'll get with you
I like the look of the DEF Tank behind the Fuel Tanks. Looks a lot Cleaner, more like a Wet Kit. This truck Turned Out Sharp!
Would look great pulling a Chrome Oval shaped Fuel tanker
I love Peterbilt trucks are the best of world
i agree
🤣🤣🤣
I’d love to see more tours of day cabs like this!
One day I'll drive a new peterbilt..
That would make a beautiful winch truck for 2 years lol
it would
You should take these for a drive so we can hear the motors idle, and then also how it sounds going down a city street and highway.
will do
Nicely specked truck Steve!!!
How big of a bunk could go on it later? Any like it with the 2050 and 565hp?
80-100" and yes
Pretty good looking daycab! That would be cool if they did the split tank with the DEF tank and fuel tank to give it a cleaner look.
Zechariah Nevarez some idiot driver, would mix it, and would blame and sue, Peterbilt for not honoring the Warranty for the engine damage..
They only use plastic tanks for def because it's so corrosive
Not a peterbilt fan but a gorgeous truck non the less. Also definitely impressed with the attention to detail you put into these trucks and videos.
ANOTHER nicely spec'd truck.......u da man!!👍
I’m coming to you for my next truck!
CMON!
I actually prefer seeing the antennas on the mirrors, but that's just me.
Old school style!!!
tsimmons1974ts
Heck yeah!
Yeah definitely
heavyduty187 man ought not be liking in the back, that shit aint right
I like the clean look antennas should be out of sight on the back of the cab
I understand this is a old video. What’s the weight and price for that truck for a new model?? I’m a fuel hauler
What would you use a set up like this for oil or fuel tanker pulling
About anything local
OMG, that dash is fox die for. How much is a truck like that?
W9 all day son
James Marquis why would i listen to someone who likes peters??? Lol kw nation bitch
Love that daycab awesome truck

Boy, that would make a fine log truck for southern logging.
This probably a stupid question but why is there a small coiled hose going to the fifth wheel? I'm obviously not a truck driver but I enjoy these videos.
Air line to unlock the fifth wheel so you can slide it (move it forward or backward)
Thanks!

Why does the exhaust tip on the left burn/ turn colors? The left exhaust gets way hotter than the right on the day cabs.
speterbilt What happens when the D.E.F system is doing a Burn/ReGen ! Burns at over 200 Deg. Exhaust dont last long.
Cause on most the right side exhuast is fake
Welcome back
Nice truck. Love the split hydfuel tank. Where is the light kit?!!! Put some 3/4” 💡 it’s just what’s missing there 😅
💪🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Steve I need this truck make it happen
What a beaut.
Why not a 2050 torque? I pull double side dumps and think the extra torque would be helpful
Its not just the cost it’s mostly the extra weight. More torque means heavier clutch, transmission, driveline, & rear ends. It adds up fast
I’d sure miss that torque and the extended cab
So...those of you in the trucking industry....how much $$$ you guess it would take to buy this truck? I'm just curious....I have no idea what they go for.
John Shaft that one probably went for around 115k usd off the top of my head.
this truck is closer to 160k.

What trans is in that truck?
Steve can you explain why you prefer the Dafco? Fuel filter over the Pacar I'm sure you have a good reason.
Would you care to elaborate on these fuel blends and filter issues?@@I_like_turtles_67
What is the weight on a truck like this?
Beautiful Peterbilt. Love that gorgeous metalic blue. Ya failed to mention what tranny was mat hed behind the cummins. Thanks for sharing.
18
Está perron el relámpago azul amigo steve saludos
new petes wont let you idle.. what was that 30 second warning? how long is the idle time?
4 18 that’s a buyer specific feature I’m pretty sure. They aren’t like that off the line.
Alright gotcha, thanks.. I picked up a 2019 Hino for a customer a few weeks back.. turned the truck on to get A/C cold.. went in office and by the time I came out the truck was on an idle stop.. damn epa rules

No one ever talks about the stamp weight! That's usually one of my first 3 questions...lol
Browningtriple7 these trucks are pretty light these days. The last 389 I drove was around 17.5k with a pump and PTO on it.
What are capacity of fuel tank and def tank on your trucks that have a stand up sleeper?
Steve Rangai I believe it's usually 150gal on passenger side and 120gal on driver side.
What size is the def?
I've never emptied mine but it takes 15gal once the red light comes on.
I went by what you normally see on Steve's stand up sleepers. Tho you're right bc you can order any size actually.
Thanks morganmiller812 I like the way Peterbilt Steve does the tank setup on his trucks.
Hey Steve I’m interested in the used flat top you have. It’s the purple one. How do I go about getting some info about? Thanks
Price same truck with 20k front and ext day cab
I like 389s but these days im more for comfort rather than a long hood.
Can you do a video of a 567 daycab if you get one?
Can't stand the dummy exhaust
its what we got
Oh I can completely understand why it's done and ur right in another video. U can't tell it's not a full dual exhaust unless u look closely. But u guys do amazing work
Life changing tool there, BEAUTIFUL TRACTOR 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉.
Do you have any 1995to 1999 pre elog double bunck peterbuilt
