imo aim trainers won't help you as much if you want to get better at the actual game, you can improve your raw aim, like aim control and hand eye coordination, but it's still faster to improve and get better aim by playing the actual game and focus on learning to perfect your aim there as you progressively get better at multiple things at the same time (general game sense) next to aiming which, especially in apex are just as important. I don't think aim trainers are waste of time and you can definitely improve with them but they aren't really necessary to get better.
